Final Fantasy XV |OT2| For Jared!

Yeah, there's a bestiary of all beasts and daemons with weaknesses, drops, location, hunts, etc. Pretty well detailed. Pictures aren't huge but they're decent.

People seem to be praising the overall quality of the guide too. I think I'll get it.

Thank you.

Chapter 13 is completely dreadful. Surprised I haven't seen a thread about it yet. Final Hallway XV reveals its true form

"Fuck yeah. I finally found the Dominator!"

"Let me crash Regalia during the landing animation fam"

There's been enough hyperbolic stuff about it on every page of these threads.

It really isn't that bad. Just needs a sprint button.

It absolutely dominated the OT for a while, it's a huge topic in the spoiler thread, and it's brought up almost every time a XV discussion occurs.

And it's not even that bad...

About Chapter 13:
I just teamed up with Ignis and Gladio again. We are now looking for Prompto.
do I have a long way to go?

FFXV official game stats

Most character deaths caused by:

Regalia - 50%
Camera - 45%
Coeurl - 4.9%

I'm finding it difficult to keep going.
It's that bad.

Sorry that's happening. I found it repetitive, but I enjoyed the atmosphere, exposition, and boss encounters.

Wait, what? You can summon in that dungeon?! The prompt never showed up for me!

So when I'm fighting level 7 goblins Ramuh is all like "HOLD ON FAM, I GOT THIS", but when I'm getting my ass kicked by 2 Red Golems and infinitely multiplying Bombs and Yojimbo and freaking
giant petrifying dragon
he's all like "nah you're fine, you can take it"? Fucking asshole.

He came three times for me on the Red Giants :p

Yeah I really didn't mind it at all. I enjoyed
Ardyn's taunting and the dark atmosphere. I would've liked some flashbacks showing what happened to Niflheim rather than just giving us random documents to find though.

Thanks for this! How do I "warp out"? Just triangle + back direction? Not at home so I can't try.

In most fighting areas, you'll have Warp Points around you (things on the terrain that you can warp to). Pointing the camera in their general direction and holding the Warp button will teleport you to them. You get full MP, a boost in HP regen, and can Warp back in to the fight. The farther you Warp when you come back in, the more powerful your Warp Strike. Normally, a high-powered Warp Strike will knock enemies down and make them easy prey for you.

Of course, that's only possible if the fighting area actually has Warp Points around it. But, if it does, Warping out -> Warping in is a really potent strategy.

You can also try to do it without Warp Points (like, run away from the fight a bit, then Warp to the most distant enemy you see so you get the most damage). It's not quite as effective, but it's still a way to knock down enemies and control the fight a bit more.

OMG FUCK COEURLS

I had to do a sidequest last week where it was to disarm traps....it was a level 18 sidequest.

Two of these mother fuckers chilling there at level 34......I was like no problem fam, we 10 levels higher....we got this.....NOPE. Got rocked by them.

I thought it was average and then I was so happy
when I assumed it was the end of the chapter when I unlocked all major key cards. The game then asks for more key cards -_-

They are vicious. They don't respect your level and have an attack that can OHK.

If they'd shortened the repetitive sections and used the opportunity to visually show us the history via flashbacks/cutscenes it might have even been a perfect chapter for me.

Kinda weird that (Adamantoise hunt spoilers)
the mountain doesn't disappear when you kill adamantoise. I thought that was it's shell. On the other hand you can redo the hunt infinitely so maybe that's the justification

I can't seem to catch a Vesper gar for Navyths third challenge. Does it only come out at night or something? I have the right lure and everything.

It is its shell and why would it disappear? Thing is huge.

No problem. I've been really happy with it. Really surprised what they were able to get done given they were working on it while the game was in an incomplete state.

I feel like they might've been trying to recreate the feeling of
infiltrating Shinra HQ or a reactor in VII. I do agree that it started to drag a little after a while, I just didn't find it to be some kind of great gaming sin. lol

only thing not in the guide is the 4.5 hour dungeon after you beat the game......they said it was literally impossible to write it out.....and they even tried to lol

There's a 30 minute speed run video of them doing it, if you get stuck. But its definitely something just to take your time with and have fun. I'm trying to do it blind.

I honestly used a guide for them.
Care to link me to a good one? Thanks.

The more I hear about it, the more I want to try it out. But the play time without any save in between scares me. I am just waiting for a proper time to start it.

Honestly after completing that dungeon a couple days ago I'm not surprised haha.

It was incredibly fun though. Going in blind is the only way to appreciate it.

I fought my first Coeurl last night. I had to use a couple of potions, and Ignis didn't live to see the end of the fight. Fucker's actually really tough. Can't imagine taking on more than one.

Just wait till you tackle the Elder Coeurls...

i beat the sewer's monster boss last night and got the headlights to cindy installed so i can drive w/o daemons in my face.

it was a cool dungeon.

Ok....my thoughts on how character creation DLC could work out since its been rumored by IGN and nearly everywhere

if they do this correctly.....some minor story spoilers, so I'm spoiler tagging it.

There were 10 years during the time skip, we knew that the hunters were basically holding the daemons back from completely annihilating everyone. You saw how many weapons there were at hammerhead and just how much crap there was in general. Maybe certain towns will become hubs......like monster hunter. You take on hunts or quests at each outpost as you begin in year 1....there's little talks on the radios you listen to the events going on over the whole time Noctis is gone.

We get to see the world slowly get ripped apart by the darkness and the daemons.

Dave most likely becomes the leader of the hunters at this point due to his dialogue during those stupid dog tag missions.

Weapons are upgraded via parts from mob drops....just like MH

We get to see the dark torn world in its fullest and the events that happen between those 10 years.

Gladio, Prompto and Ignis all have their solo DLC during that period as well, and its a telling of their maturity and ability to become more self efficient.

They could honestly do so fucking much during that time skip for multiplayer content.

Even show what happens to the hunters, Cid, Cindey and the world after the main game.

God I really want to see what happened to the world after the main game.

Goddamn, I really do hate these "find x in this circle" missions.

I kinda like them. They're obviously nothing special or even well designed, but I enjoy the fact that I have to look for things instead of getting to the circle and then pressing my detective mode button.

To find frogs, I'm having to actually go around and listen to them. To find the maps, I have to look for the yellow shiny, and it's easier to do so at night.

It was refreshing at first, and so far I'm still not tired of that (surprising) lack of handholding. Weird to me that such a mechanic wouldn't be present in the same game that has your quest objectives in the middle of the screen, but I'll take it.

Someone said in OT1 to use Ignis Regroup before or after using a AOE Magic...do you guys mean with L1...? because when I use L1 in wait mode,I have the 3 green rectangles for each guys but its only an attack,is there something else on that green rectangle to cycle some of their skills...? never noticed yet lol...

IINM, you have to equip it in your Gear before it'll show up in the L1 menu.

When I did the first one in the game (I think it was Dino's?), I wasn't even paying attention to the circle, just the quest marker... so I went to the "!" and was just looking around there going WHERE IS IT??? Then I looked at my big map and saw that it was an area I had to search. LOL
