I'll reserve this spot for now and add details to it in a bit.

1.Nier Automata: This game has the story madness from Yoko Taro and has fantastic gameplay from Platinum games. I mean this is basically a dream game for me so of course it's the top.

2.Red Dead Redemption 2: I've enjoyed a lot of titles from Rockstar including the first Redemption game, so I wanna see do their magic in this sequel and it's been a while since we've had a western-setting game.

3.Horizon Zero Dawn : Game is basically Monster Hunter with Zoids plus have writers from New Vegas and Witcher......Sounds delicious.

4.Nioh: it's Samurai Souls but with a much deeper combat that is a mixture of character action and Dark Souls combat. Made by the guys at Team Ninja they made the Souls-like game with the best combat.

5.Mass Effect Andromed: I like Mass Effect so nothing much to say there.

6.The Legend of Zelda Breath of Wild : I've only played three Zelda games in my life with all of them being 3D Zeldas(Ocarina,Majora, Twilight) so I'm not really a deep fan of the series but goddamn it's enjoyable and seeing the recent gameplay of the newest addition makes me excited. Of course I have issues with game being if it's gonna have a lifeless world and being not the most impressive looking I'm still looking forward to it.

7.Yakuza 0: Kickass game while also being really wacky

8.For Honor: Online melee-fighter where you can be a Samurai, Viking or Knight. Definitely a type of game I wanted

9.Scalebound : Dragons. Gameplay is not as impressive as Nier but it still looks alright

10.Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite : My favorite type of fighters are this type of crossover ones so of course I'm excited.

1. NieR: Automata: This game is extremely promising in all aspects, from story to combat to music. Yoko Taro and Platinum will deliver.

2. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom: The first game had significant flaws (particularly in its combat system) but was charming and had a nice artstyle. I think Level-5 will improve on it all around, and I look forward to trying the new more action-RPG based combat.

3. Horizon Zero Dawn: The world and story setup is unique, I love action-RPGs and it's a refreshing ambitious new IP. I think Guerrilla can pull it off after working on it for so long and hiring John Gonzalez to write it.

4. Persona 5: I've seen nothing but high praise from those who've played the Japanese release. The style, characters, story and music are all promising.

5. Gravity Rush 2: I had some issues with the first game but it had amazing movement, a nice artstyle, good characters and an intriguing though overly cryptic story. The sequel looks like it will build/improve on these things tremendously and is built for PS4.

6. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
7. Red Dead Redemption 2
8. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
9. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix
10. Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age

1. Zelda: Breath of the Wild: it just looks really fresh to me, like Zelda reimagined from the ground up. I haven't been this excited for a home console Zelda since OOT.
2. Cosmic Star Heroine: I've been following it for a while, and the phantasy star/Suikoden vibe works for me.
3. Dragon Quest VIII: January 20, starting the year off with a bang!
4. God Wars: SRPGs are my favourite genre, and this looks like an interesting take on the genre.
5. Operation Babel: The last one (Operation Abyss) was a really interesting dungeon crawler that drew me in wit its modern setting. Experience know what they are doing with this games so it's a reliable pick for me.

Otherwise, I'm really looking forward to the Switch event and console launch as a whole.

1. Neir Automata
2. Resident Evil VII
3. Dragon Quest XI
4. Mass Effect: Andromeda
5. Red Dead Redemption 2
6. Persona 5
7. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
8. Nioh
9. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
10. Ni No Kuni II

1. Nioh : The perfect blend of character action and challenging RPG.

2. Mass Effect Andromeda : Well, it's pretty apparent that I'm a ME fan... But why I'm looking forward to Andromeda so much is that it looks like they're taking the series in the direction the ME sequels should have gone in the first place. More focus on exploration, customization, expansion. It's basically what the original Mass Effect was supposed to be. I mean we're basically building a whole new galactic civilization in the game!

3. Gravity Rush 2 : The first game took me by surprise with how good it was, and GR2 looks like it improves upon the first in every way.

4. Horizon: Zero Dawn : An open-world RPG where you hunt Robot. Fucking. Dinosaurs. That's all that needs to be said.

5. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild : I feel like this is the Zelda that so many people have wanted for years. A massive world, less hand-holding (hopefully), more gameplay mechanics like climbing, hunting, stealth, etc.

6. Yooka-Laylee : Old-school bright and colorful 3D platformer, something we desperately need a lot more of. This is probably the most feel-good game coming out in 2017.
7. Red Dead Redemption 2 : Sequel to the only Rockstar game I've ever finished. If it's even half as good as the first game, it will still be amazing.

8. Tekken 7 : Favorite fighting game series behind Smash, and the one I've played the longest. It's technically been "out" for a long time now in arcades, but it's finally making its way to consoles soon.

9. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix : I have been wanting to get into the KH series for so long, but with the games being spread out over so many systems, it made it difficult to start. But with all of the games coming through KH 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8, I'll be able to go through the entire series on a single system. This is the perfect way for newcomers to get into the series in anticipation for KH3.

10. Kingdom Hearts 2.8 : (same as above)

1. Persona 5
2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
3. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
4. Shenmue 3
5. Yakuza 6
6. Mass Effect Andromeda

8. Neir:Automata
9. Red Dead Redemption 2
10. Nioh

1. Danganronpa V3
2. Persona 5
3. Zelda: Breath of the Wild
4. Marvel VS Capcom Infinite
5. Resident Evil VII
6. Mass Effect Andromeda
7. Nioh
8. Yooka-Laylee
9. Danganronpa 1+2 Reload
10. The Nonary Games

For now this is it, i might be forgetting some stuff.

1. Mass Effect Andromeda: Really looking forward to getting back into this world. Hopefully they take inspiration from the first game.
2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: The Zelda franchise never gets old, does it?
3. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard: Thank god it went back to it's horror roots.
4. Prey: Always love an atmospheric shooter in space.
5. Below: I think the long development time will be worth the wait.
6. Yooka-Laylee: aww yeah, I missed Banjo styled platform games.
7. Routine
8. Vane
9. Red Dead Redemption 2
10. The Gallery - Episode 2: Heart of the Emberstone

1. Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild : I love Zelda and BotW just looks incredible. From the gorgeous artstyle to the vast open world to the awesome physics based powers and scenarios like using a fire to create an updraft to get lift on your sailcloth to get extra air to shoot an enemy from a higher angle, everything seems incredible
2. Persona 5: Game just oozes style and as a big fan of the Persona series, how could I not be excited?
3. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd : As a huge fan of the Trails/kiseki series, I'm super excited to get more of it
4. Tales of Berseria : I've been a long time fan of the Tales series, and hearing that this is one of the best in the series from importers excites me a lot
5. Horizon Zero Dawn : Haven't been following this too closely, but what I have seen has been super impressive
6. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age : I didn't play too much of the original FF XII, but I've heard good things about the zodiac version and am excited to give it another shot
7. Dragon Quest XI: Might not come to the west next year or even at all, but what we've seen so far looks really good
8. Monster Hunter XX : Only coming to Japan at this point, but I love Monster Hunter. Would be higher if we knew a switch version was confirmed, since I'm not sure how much I'll be using the 3DS still by the time it ever gets over here

1. Zelda: Breath of the Wild: This is new age Nintendo. A rebirth, as far as we can see. The game has the highest chance of unseating Ocarina of Time as best game ever for me of any game since Resident Evil 4.
2. Resident Evil VII: Game looks pretty damn good!

1. Persona 5 : not much to say, loved 4, can't wait for 5
2. Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age : one of my favorite games of all time; have always wanted to try the Job System, happy that I was patient enough to wait for an HD release
3. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue : I am here for Aqua and because KH3 is dragging ass
4. Mass Effect Andromeda : looking forward to jumping back into a hopefully somewhat fresh take on the ME universe after ME3's ending left a bad taste; multiplayer shenanigans
5. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild : new open-world Zelda, fresh take on the Zelda formula
6. Sonic Mania : love the original games, looks to be a return to form.
7. Nier: Automata : not sure if I'll play this but it looked interesting enough to keep an eye on

Honourable mentions to Yakuza 0 and Kiwami, the Kingdom Hearts HD Collections (all of them), and the games coming to the Switch.

1. Nier Automata: Nier was my favorite RPG of last gen and thought this wouldn't be made. Can't think of any other game topping this for me.
2. Horizon Zero Dawn: Not a huge sandbox fan, but this one looks fun.
3. Persona 5: Never really played Persona before and I want to give it a fair shot this time around.

... I don't know any other games...

1. Persona 5 : Should be fun to see this get in the top 5 for the third year in a row. But I am pretty stoked for its release.

2. Horizon: Zero Dawn : Been a big fan of GG since the original Killzone. They've never let me down.

3. Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue : Always need more Kingdom Hearts in my life, even if it's not KHIII.

4. South Park: The Fractured But Whole : I really enjoyed the first South Park game and I am pretty optimistic for this one.

5. Nier Automata : Didn't get far in the first game, but this is a Platinum game, so I can't help but be excited for it.

6. Gravity Rush 2 : Really loved the first game. Probably going to love the second game even more.

7. Ace Combat 7 : That PSX trailer really sold me on the game. I am all for it.

9. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age : Was not a fan of the last third of the game but I am a FF nut so I can't help but want it.

1. Resident Evil VII : While the pre-release media has divided fans, i'm optimistic it'll be a pleasant surprise much like DOOM. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little dissapointed it's no longer third person, but I believe that apart from that it's returning many of the things I'd associate as being important to a Resident Evil title.
