Horizon Zero Dawn Leaked Ending - 4Chan Rumour (Spoilers Ahead) - New Melee Gifs

That said. How does anyone know the story by reading a leak to the ending?
I remeber reading the ending to the last of us and thought how it sounded kind of terrible at first, but then after playing the game it self and seeing better context and lead up, I change that opinion.

the gliding in the op's gifs doesn't look good. It looks like in assassin's creed when you character jumps to the next roof and its far away but the game decides that you make the jump and you magically fly to it

I agree; im totally in the "it's not about the destination but about the journey" camp. If 'endings' were that important I could pretty much stop enjoying 90% of todays stuff because after reading scifi for 25 years I've pretty much 'seen it all'.

Call me weird but the fact that it's not
as big and as long as expected makes me hype, I'm tired of too long open world games not because I don't have time but because it just feels like a chore after a long time. And obviously WE CAN FLY SO EXTRA HYPE

The ending doesn't sound bad at all. It sounds more interesting than most games' endings these days. Now
the time to finish the game is a bit worrying. They built up the expectations that this is going to be a huge open world with many side quests and things to explore. 20h is going to disappoint many people. I just hope this rumor is wrong or for them to come out and temper people expectations.

Bloodborne has lots of it.

i guess that's one way you could describe narrative in bloodborne. Not what I would have chosen though.
but hey, The Last of Us was apparently too subtle for a lot of people so....

Anyways I mostly enjoyed the trappings of the world they built with Killzone, space nazis and space east germans were pretty cool. Hope they can do the same here.

Besides whatever oddity the ending might have, I also worry for the overall script. Some previews of it have made it sound really uninspired, at least with side missions. Personally I like Guerrilla's games so I'm expecting this to play very well. Story and writing, not so much.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
HMMMMMM!!!! A world map that big, but only 20-25 hrs to complete? :/

Works for me as most open world games just pad things out after a while by having you travel to 5 different locations on opposite sides of the map from one another to kill 10 of this enemy or collect 8 of this item. If the missions are well done, well executed and well told then I'll take a shorter better made game than a larger one that just feels bloated.

But does that count as AAA? I love the series, but I thought it was more AA in terms of budget. I'm sure it's not costing as much to make as stuff like Uncharted, Horizon, Halo, etc.

I want to believe is a AAA game but Bloodborne is still niche just because is a new ip for most of the players and not everyone like "hard" games

A good thing for a studio's first attempt at an open world RPG, any news for how alive the world feels?

I hope it doesnt end with 70% of sidequests and random events like far cry or assassin creed

If the robot animals in this game interact with each other even remotely like the ones in Far Cry do that would be a good thing.

Sure, sure, it's an easy choice in the first game. But after the second game ends and you've been
stuck on the moon
for over a decade and a half, that
Carbon Reinitialization Program
starts to look more justified!

(...I don't know how to properly spoiler tag a reference to a PS1 series in the context of a new game. Sorry.)

Sounds believable, is this game supposed to have more
choices, like a Bioware game?
Hearing this makes me a bit more interested in this game, and my interest had been waning.

20 hours is a shame, but still more than I expected
, I might pick it up near launch.

20-45 hour action game with solid enemy variety similar to MH and an unlockable difficulty that changes up all the enemies sounds amazing. I dunno where people are getting a lack of content from.

Depends on the quality of content within the world and the missions. If it's fun as hell and mission variety is varied and interesting I'm sure I will enjoy it for 45 hours
I usually take way more time than intended on Open World games. I'm pretty confident that the 45h he mentioned were pretty rushed. Horizon is shaping up to be one the most beautiful games in 2017. I'll probably spend hours just admiring the scenery.

The rumoured game length makes me think that this is gonna be in the same ilk of Ubisoft's open world games that feature tons of crappy busywork to reach "100%". Doesn't help that it has those walking tower robot dinosaurs.

From what I hear, it's decent. There aren't any NPC travelers that roam around like Zelda or Ghost Recon it seems. Most of the life comes from the machines and the smaller creatures like rabbits or birds and the weather and graphical fidelity. Unfortunately on the Quest side of things, most quests according to the 4Chan dude to boil down to just hunting a machine (which is alright since fighting machines is the main draw of the game) but don't expect elaborate New Vegas Quests though perhaps the story attached to them will be neat.

Ugh. So cliched.

Also this sounds like quite a definite end to what looking like a very openish game? Is this more TR esque?

Yup, seems about right.
Me and countless other GAFers called this the moment they showed the game off the first time. A bit bland and predictable, but I doubt many were expecting bold or interesting storytelling from Guerilla anyway. Their talents lie elsewhere. Now the real question on my mind is if Mass Effect: Andromeda will pull a similar twist too, since it has a bunch of pieces in place for it as well. Humans travelling for several centuries to go to another galaxy and building robotic bodies to cope with the journey and adapting to the environment, go hand in hand.

Either way, it's a shame it had to leak for Horizon, but maybe it's for the better. Maybe now people can get it out of their system.

Sounds a bit like one of the twists in
Xenoblade X
... but that gets revealed a third into the game.

Surprised it took that long for the comparison to be made. It was the first thing I thought of.

Yikes at those melee GIFs in comparison to what I just experienced the other day in the Nier demo. Game still looks great regardless.

Ah, that's disappointing. :/ At least the machines roam around but I was interested in seeing them interact with human enemies too.

This isn't the first time a high profile game leaked on 4chan. In fact because of all the rumors and huge anonymity it's the perfect place to do so.

That's very weak writing in general and I have to say I'm disappointed. A lot those on GAF saying this will be one of the biggest disappointments may be right after all.
