Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

I'll take the better performance and better controller to Nintendo costumes :p

I think the controller preference is quite valid, as the XB1 pad is among the best ever created. But the performance differences are extremely minor.

Personally, I'll take Bayonetta 2 over any version of the first game.

That reminds me, has the Games on Demand release of Bayonetta ever been on sale? I might just bite the $20 bullet and retire my disc.

They've done a phenomenal job getting all the games that so wanted on the Xbox One. There's just one left that I really, really want.

L.A. Noire.

Please.

Good to see Strania made it, was always hoping such would be the case, with the semi-recent stream release as well.

I keep checking this thread and the backward compatibility list at least once every two weeks. Every time it's to check for one thing--

Crackdown and/or Crackdown 2 on BC.

Why in the hell hasn't this happened yet? Understood that there are other games with more votes on the list, but a lot of them don't make sense to do as they already have ports/remasters on xb1 (i.e GTA V, Skyrim, Modern Warfare, etc). And unlike most of the list, Crackdown isn't available on any other platforms than 360 at all. I just don't see the point of bringing titles to BC that are playable all over the place and then true 360 exclusives that were loved get nothing.

Also with Scalebound getting cancelled yesterday it reminds me that we still have seen no real footage of Crackdown 3 despite it supposedly releasing this year. Adding the previous titles to BC sooner rather than later would at least help restore some faith that that game is still on the way.

Or, if they aren't ever coming to BC (an increasingly likely possibility at this point) why not do a quick port of the first 2 for a spring release to build hype? :)

Pretty nailed on to be announced as pre order bonus for Crackdown 3 and released just before to build hype for the new release.

My favorite part about backwards compatibility is all the Games with Gold titles that I redeemed between the time I sold my 360 and the launch of Backwards Compatibility. Looks like I own Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and am downloading it now.

Douchebag. Yes, me.
Dragon Age Origins is so damn awful on the 360. The graphics, the abysmal UI... I gave up on it after 3-4 hours.

I eventually rebought it on PC, and it's like an entirely different game.

Time to go back to the best bf game.

Will also probably go for the last bf3 achievement if I can find a cheap disc somewhere (or EA Access please?)

wow, wasn't expecting Ghostbusters to ever be announced for BC. Does Atari still exist in any form to give permission for it? Was Activision/Sony Pictures involved since I remember that being part of all the license/publisher shenanigans?

RIP my first game dev company, Terminal Reality

That's just technically DLC as far as the game was concerned

Yeah, I'm just saying that's what's on that disk, yet going off of the download size, I'm guessing it's installing the whole game, it just can't be initialised from the single player disk for some reason.
