Cool, I thought the golden stuff was part of the top. It's more like the thing that Rebecca Romijn stole from that chick in Femme Fatale.

Really cute and adorable art and definitely is interesting insight in how her outfit comes together. Glad I saw this. Can't wait for Gravity Rush 2, but I have to finish Gravity Rush Remastered first. I'll probably get on that soon.

Okay, but why dress like that in the first place? Where does she even get the clothing? She sticks out like a sore thumb in her own game.

I mean, she's from a foreign world, so that makes sense? I guess you should argue that she should try to fit in, or that she needs some fresh clothes.

Lol, one of life's greatest mysteries finally solved.

Like a protagonist of a game typically does? Such a weird complaint...

Jury's still out

Nah, the void sucks them up before they fall to their deaths. Kat has broken many backs though...

I was gonna roll with that it may have clamps that attach to each other, but I could see it being magic in this world.

It's likely just hooks in the back. Clearly the entire thing is sized to fit very tightly to her body, so there's likely some hinge in front or a general give to the entire frame that she then just pulls taut and then latches in the back once she has the fabric where she wants it. I mean that's how the thigh braces work, she pulls it up a leg and then coils it around the leg of the romper until she can hook it into place without the cloth being able to pull free. Of course I doubt all of this would be able to stay in place in the middle of a huge fight where she's likely to get the crap beaten out of her, but we're also talking about a girl who can get smashed into the ground so hard she leaves an impact crater and then just gets up and walks it off. Durability and practicality are allowed to slide.

I'm just impressed the designer clearly went to the trouble of figuring out how the character would put their clothes on and not purely in hindsight. All of this is very doable for a cosplayer without the need of body tape. Perhaps not the most comfortable thing in the world, but Gravity Rush's overall visual design is somewhat evocative of an era where things like whalebone corsets were actually used. Organ placement? Skeletal integrity? Fuck it, we glam, yo.

Kat solidifying she, and her outfit, are indeed amazing.

Poor girl. That must take a long time.

For some characters they're practically stitched into their outfits. IRL, vg characters would probably need a day to get dressed, let alone fight world ending problems in said oitfits.

Superheroes can't be late to emergencies...How long does this take to put on, Kat??

She's practically always in it. Also she has numerous outfits (that she magically transforms into because it's a video game), so with that being said, she actually doesn't give a fuck what she's wearing, she gonna come to the rescue regardless lol

Freaking adorable and no all that impractical compared to what a lot of girls actually wear. The extra bangles and shizz maybe, but I could easily see my wife taking this long to get dressed haha!

"Oh, I can see their parachutes. They're okay."

Now, I'm remembering that from the first English broadcast of Dragon Ball Z.

Damn haha ocean dub. That takes me back like 20 years on toonami with moltar.

They could not completely hide Nappa's massacre though

Nice. I like it when character designers show how their characters put on their ridiculous costumes. Wish more people would do this, like have it be a section in a artbook or something.

You know, despite this outfit being kinda fanservicey, I honestly appreciate that they atleast acknowledge how her character would go about wearing it. Like bayonetta, it feels a lot less gross if you have the character feel like their someone who would actually enjoy wearing it, ridiculous as it may be.

Pretty much. Most really old dubs that tried to censor violence with lines like that just make me laugh.

"Too bad it's Sunday, those buildings would have been filled up tomorrow."

Even as a kid, I wouldn't believe lines like that. Heh.

I agree. Helps the whole optics of it all.

To me, she's the best mascot Sony has available. Oozes character, very expressive and grounded despite her abilities.

I agree with this as well. Probably won't ever utilize her to any major extent though.

AmazonJP exclusive :(
Urgh. it's so stupid. I lost count to the themes I would have bought if they were available.

Pls end with this retailer/region/digital pre-order exclusive theme madness!

Kat has to be the cutest design in recent years of game releases. Only kat would have a happy reaction to such a bothersome procedure.
