That seems like a weird distinction? Seems like an arbitrary cut off.
I added the 2014 games and you can probably now see why I thought it was pointless to add:

I think it will for a lot of people. If a guy walks into a store and asks "which one does the best NBA 2K/Battlefield/Red Dead?" the guy behind the counter will be pointing at Scorpio. That will be more than MS has had so far this gen. I'm not saying it's going to get them passing Sony, or even catching up at any meaningful pace. But it could definitely right the ship and change their narrative, which has been in the gutter pretty much all generation.
The only things that can muck it up for them is if they need to price it sky high, or if Sony makes a spoiler announcement of newer, more promising hardware on the horizon this summer.
We're coming for you too 😂WFT?
Bish is gone?
(Watch Bish ban me instantaneously!)
EDIT: Thank you Spurs for defeating Chelsea,

LFC fan.
It will be a very sad day if it's only 4k demos of EA and Ubisoft new games.
Are you out of your mind boi? I'll buy 2. Most of us give many zero @$!#@ for a JRPG, I would still ask you Scalebound what?
Im getting Scorp mainly for multi-plats and raw power where you throw anything at it and it eats it alive with a nasty performance..
lol, yall can have Scalebound it's a gift from us.
Their audience will continue to shrink and shrink if they head down this path. You can't rely on third parties when the other console is global.Exactly, this is a microcosm of a trend that has been worrying me about XBox since 2009. I've been rooting for them to pull off a comeback for at least two years now, but this has let almost all the air out of the balloon for me. Since 2009, what first party games have they released? Here's a list - tell me if you can spot the trends.

I think you need to distinguish between Xbox gamers here on gaf and Xbox gamers in the real world. The real world people aren't asking for Japanese exclusives. Gamers here who have a different taste and also happen to own an Xbox are asking for itYou know part of me has to laugh at the XBox gamers that want MS to hit up a different Japanese company for an exclusive (like From)... Why? If you like Japanese games, you shouldn't have bought an XBox. It's really that simple.
If you like Nintendo games, you buy Nintendo platforms. If you like third parties, Nintendo is not the way to go. If you like JRPG's, you buy either a Nintendo or Sony machine. You don't buy an XBox. Get the picture?
You signed up for Halo, Forza, and such, and whatever Western exclusives MS could wrangle. You don't get that many Japanese games. And after seeing the "result" of the partnerships of MS with Japanese companies, be prepared to get even less of them. Enjoy what you do have, which is good multiplayer and games as a service.

You know the source of those complaints of shitty treatment of devs? Forum posts by random individuals.
MS treats their devs like their favorite children who can do no wrong.
There, does that ease your concern? No idea if it's true but it doesn't seem to matter to anyone else.
No he's def not confused. If you read the end of his post he mentions "If you are limiting your list to games 'revealed' in 2014, then you are incorrect again since (at the very least) The Witness, Uncharted 4, NMS, Eve: Valk, and The Order were revealed earlier."

I'm not sure how this keeps getting perpetuated, but it's false.
Look at the 2015-16 exclusives. Rare Replay, single player. Forza 6, massive single player with online functionality. Screamride, single player. Ori, single player. Dead Rising 4, single player. Forza Horizon 3, massive single player with online functionality. Quantum Break, single player. Record, single player. Rise of the Tomb Raider (timed exclusive), single player.
I include Forza games in that list as the online has clearly taken absolutely nothing out of the single player, as is often the claim made for shooters. I'd also say it's harsh to overlook Gears 4 and Halo 5 if you're a single player only gamer - there's still something there for you - they aren't a Star Wars Battlefront or Titanfall 1.
Between third party releases, there's plenty of meat there for most gamers. I think GAF is hardcore by design, but for more casual gamers like myself, it's plenty.

Why don't you include handheld systems. Just be fair. There have been 7 uncharted games since 2007( 4 mainline, 1 remaster and 2 vita)Halo 5, 6, 7 and 8... and 9
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZDw-D2BSMg
Between 2007 and 2016 Sony released 4 Uncharted games for PS3 and PS4
MS dumped 10 Halo games and 8 Forza games for Xbox360 and Xbox ONE

There have been 11 halo games in the same period. Everybody milks everything

Because MS doesn't have a handheld, so it won't be a fair comparisson.
And 2 Uncharteds for Vita? What other Uncharted besides Golden Abyss was released for the Vita?

Not disagreeing. Look, the fact is that the Japanese tend to take longer to make their games, and many AAA titles are frequently delayed. Therefore, they should not work with a company like MS that has demanding schedules and documented "shady" practices.
And most XBox gamers aren't going to care. They, as someone else so delicately put it, don't give two shits about JRPG's, and will buy two Scorpio's because it is the most powerful system out there. So MS will be fine, in America and to a lesser part the UK. That is their market. By now, that is their only market. XBox will have EA, and multiplayer games galore. And games as a service
Don't expect something like Uncharted on the XBox - that requires time and investment that MS simply isn't willing to spend. If so, they would have worked with Kamiya and others, instead of tanking their projects because of numbers on a spreadsheet.
Bingo couldnt have said it better. As a console owner i expect all types of games to release on the console. Not just western or japanese.I think this is kind of silly. People who buy an Xbox "sign up" for whatever games are being marketed for the system. It could be western, Japanese, Martian whatever. The concept that players who are unhappy with the lineup of games on their system of choice should just deal with it is contrived. Surely MS will continue to milk it's bread and butter franchises but games like Phantom Dust, SSO and Scalebound were announced, released and worked on for a reason.
You are assuming a fuck of a lot.
updated my 2017 games list:
I am curious to see if MS says anything about Crackdown 3 anytime soon as sort of a subtle confidence boost in response to this cancellation.
"Don't believe what he says, so we can keep up this vitriol hate against a company which is cool to dislike"Don't take anything Kamiya says, and try to extrapolate from it. He's still under NDA. MS makes anyone they work with sign those, and when you leave the company then you do so as well.
Standard practice at tech companies.

They've reiterated Crackdown 3 will launch this year in the wake of cancelling Scalebound...
It's on IGN, I'm not going fishing for the link and quote again...
Yeah why indeed, it's not like this same question has been asked and answered 20 times already.180+ pages for Scalebound cancelation. Incredible.
Amazing given the lack of excitement over the game.
Or at least my impression of lack of excitement around here for the game ...
If the game wasn't going to be on many people's radar... Why all of a sudden with it gone is it showing up like a foreign invasion of aircraft off the west coast?
That doesn't mean shit
Yeah why indeed, it's not like this same question has been asked and answered 20 times already.
Incredibly original deflection.
LOL I had a look at Kamiya's Twitter after the OP update, and that little comic about some dude getting blocked by him killed me.
Sounds like fans are being supportive of him, which is good.

He commented on wondering if MS has said anything about Crackdown 3's release since canceling Crackdown.
They have.
I reported it as such.
Go check yo'self.

"don't like MP or Forza" was part of my sentence and you just listed a lot of Forza games
It was the #2 and #1 most anticipated Xbone/W10 game on the two last NeoGAF's most anticipated game of the year voting. Not a deflection... Just general bewilderment.
I was excited for this game and it seemed not many people were around here.
It's incredibly bewildering to see the interest all of a sudden now it's canceled...
Wrong thread? 😂So, new cpu confirmed for scorpio?
There's a lot of games in the Titanfall series.
Because 2 = "a lot", apparently.

Granted, the interest seems mostly so people can come shitpile on MS some more.
Anyone who buys a system for an "announced" game is taking a gamble. You probably should have waited to see if it came out first, if that is what you wanted. I waited, and am glad I did. MS won't be getting my business - the lineup doesn't appeal to me enough. Not really that much of a Halo and Forza fan, though I appreciate they are good games.
I think Sea of Thieves looks interesting, but not a system seller for me, personally.
