Fast Racing Remix announced by Shinen

I'm in. Never got it on Wii U so this is great for me. Really hope it's launch. Also 1080p? So switch is seemingly a few notches above wii u

I'm having legitimate issues trying to identify the old vehicles. I can only read Mueller PLS.

And I don't think I see Kamagori either.

Wait, actual 1080p?
Devs don't always shout from the rooftops that they're temporally reprojecting to a given resolution. IIRC Shinen also referred to the WiiU version as just "720p." It's hard to say what exactly they're doing under the hood without seeing the result.

As is the Switch, so this shouldn't be surprising.

Nothing else has such a big upgrade. It's looking like BOTW might be 720p!

EDIT:

True, we'll have to wait and see.

To be honest, it's doing an exceptional job hiding how much is original.

I'm dead convinced at the moment that everything I'm seeing is new.

I wish the Fast games had better shoulder button mechanics. They get the speed and style right enough but they are missing the F-Zero or Wipeout feeling of a fast/airbreak turn.

FAST RACING NEO PORT CONFIRMEEEDD

This is a system seller all by itself.

Along with Wipeout, Fast Racing Neo basically take away the sting of no F Zero

Looks much cleaner than it did on Wii U

Super fast + even the screenshots are perfect. Crazy.

Between this + Redout I think we're sorted.

F-Zero SW can come once they've figured out the tech + get 30 players on screen at this quality. Until then, we good.

I hate to say it but this was one of the only Wii U games I bought that disappointed me. Didn't scratch that F-Zero / Wipeout itch at all, and gameplay was way too dependent on both hitting the power up balls and switching polarity rather than just finding your own line.

Maybe this one will improve some things, but just warning people that it might be a try before you buy situation.
