I was previously listening to Captain Murphy's Duality and I definitely need to check out Jae's material. My favorite tracks on Duality were all produced by Jae.
Can't believe this year will be the 5 year anniversary of that tape.

I hope they do some sort of celebration for it, hopefully a vinyl reissue of that album.

I don't think Flying Lotus is going to do anymore Captain Murphy projects. Every statement he's released since the album dropped has been pointing towards it.

Duality was a dream album where Earl Sweatshirt, Jeremiah Jae, Samiyam, Madlib and Flying Lotus were on the same album, but now it's looking more like a one time occurrence and I'm fine with that. However yes, I would like a vinyl or even a CD re-release.

I'd believe you, if it weren't for the fact he's releasing new Murphy as part of the Kuso soundtrack.

Other than that, yeah, Duality is this weird fever dream of a project where FlyLo made a modern successor to Madvillainy and got all his friends to make something truly special and demented.

That album was just the perfect storm of factors and I'm glad it happened. Whether he makes a successor or not, "Duality" stands apart in FlyLo's discography and is likely up there with Cosmogramma as the best thing he's made.

So, he's releasing like a song or two for the soundtrack? Eh..
Yeah, we're probably never getting another full-length project again, but considering he said he had 1-2 discs worth of music for the movie, it might not be out of the realm of expectation for an EP's worth of music out of it.

There's like 2-3 non-Duality Captain Murphy tracks floating around so if you were to add up the tracks from Kuso coming out, that makes for a little Murphy EP for the extra thirsty, like myself.

Recommend me some out-there experimental Hip-Hop, fam.
The Alchemist - Russian Roulette
Shabazz Palaces - Black Up (I've been rocking the cover of this one as my desktop background for a couple months)
Ratking - So it Goes
Himanshu - Nehru Jackets (Mike Finito's S-tier production
tKtllDa.png
)
Goldlink - The God Complex
Sahtyre - LSD The Prelude
Lakutis - 3 Seashells
Jonwayne - Rap Album One
I'll second Zeroh’s AwfulAlterations

RTJ2 > RTJ3 > RTJ
I went back to the first two recently. I'd put their first album above the third. Sea Legs is one of their best songs. Twin Hype Back is pretty great except for the Chest Rockwell/Prince Paul parts. I’ve heard that song dozens of times, but never caught until this morning the way El-P brought the Audio Two reference in his second verse back around in his fourth.

RTJ2 is head and shoulders above the others for sure.

Thieves in the Night, Brown Skin Lady, Mr N*gga, Dollar Day (for New Orleans) & Respiration are mine

A Tribe Called Quest - "Enough"

Is it an issue if I make you nut?
But there's no quality time 'cause I forever grind
This is not an excuse, I just wanna get loose
That's old nigga jargon, girl, you're making me hardened

Kendrick Lamar - Untitled 2

Ah, pimping and posing, look what I drove in, ah
Having these hoes and I know that I'm chosen, ah
I live by the code and me and my bros and
Ah, my dollars ain't foldin', you was never the homie

Ka - Conflicted

Brought hammers to grammar school - hence the gun talk
The coke drought made it a cesspool
What they ail is steel, need a fresh jewel
Enthralled in crime not more but nah less cruel

Vince Staples - War Ready

My bitch look like Mona Lisa
Hammers busting like a soda in the freezer
Think of heading to Ibiza
Need a breather from the tripping
Either that or my brains to the ceiling
Bite the bullet, tryna fight the feeling
Fuck around and pull it, push it to the limit
Ain't a thang to a G
Life give you lemons, nigga hang from a tree

These are just from the top of my head.
