Anyone from the old days still playing this on XB1? Might jump back in before the new content arrives. I've still yet to try out 1.3 fully or 1.4.

Remember a lot of people saying rip rip rip when 1.4 was announced for release around the same time as Battlefield One yet it still bought a lot of people back and there's even replies in this thread where people were too busy with 1.4 to play other games. I think it'll do just fine.

I'd hope they'd have it similar to survival with PVE and PVP options. If it has set structure unlike the current DZ I'd see no problem with Last Stand being predominantly PVP as it'd just be like any other PVP conquest/dom/tdm game mode.

Apparently there's alot for PVE players in 1.6 as well not just the PVP balance so hopefully we'll find more out on that in the STOG later.
 
Just reinstalled this to play with some friends and it seems to just be stuck on the orange connecting screen is there anything I can do?

EDIT: Apparently this is a well-known bug that Ubisoft hides from every single thread on the official website and forums.

The only way to bypass this stupidity is to enter the game, while on the orange screen you have to press the PS Button, go to Settings on your PlayStation with the game running, go to Network, and use the option Test Internet Connection.

There's a 90% success rate of login in after this procedure. If that doesn't work on the first attempt many users said it works on second or third attempt (you need to close the game and try again) Which is ridiculous. I'm going to ask for a refund, over months of this Shit and they came with a stupid solution like that.

Been trying off and on for a few weeks, was tempted to give up and uninstall it.
 
Last Stand reveal in one hour.

Looking forward to it to say the least and not just the Last Stand reveal but also what else is coming in the 1,6 Update as well. Please give me some significant PvE options that challenge the player and build variety.

Speaking of builds, I've been trying out one with the basic guidelines of 300K+ DPS, 400K+ Toughness, and 200K+ Skill Power and I gotta say this has taken me back to the 1.3 iteration (sans the TTK improvements made with 1.4 and thereafter) of The Division as it feels incredibly balanced pertaining to damage output, survivability, and strength of skills/cooldown timers, etc. It takes a very specific setup regarding gear, perks/attributes/talents, and mods to get there (Barret's chest, Skull gloves, and a Specialized backpack are must-haves) but it feels great in moment-to-moment gameplay.

Haven't played the Division in a long ass time and fell off 2 months after launch, but I bought the Survival DLC a couple days ago as I heard its fun, and the fact that everyone starts off the same made it much more interesting too me.

It has been fun, even though the closest I've gotten is just getting inside the Darkzone. I do have to say however, I feel hopeless playing solo. I was expecting that everyone would be solo if you searched by yourself, but nearly every match so far has ended with me getting killed by a group of 2/3 people, and it is extremely annoying, as their is nothing you can do. I spend 30 minutes getting materials and surviving, only to be killed by 2 people who are a team and they take all my stuff. How is that fair for me? I tried to also team up with another solo person, I have my arms up, he sends me a message, I look at it, he kills me when I am looking at it. So trusting people other solo people I find to team up with is also out of the question for me.

Was really expecting teams would be put in servers with teams, and solo-ers would be put in servers with only other solo people. And I know I could play PVE, but I love the entire idea and risk of PVP, which is why I am slightly disappointed with my current experiences.
 
DZ 7-9 confirmed

As is no PvE only Dark Zone. They say that they think PvP players will be focused on the PvP oriented Last Stand in DZ 7-9 to free up DZ 1-6 with less PvP players but nothing is changing in those zones as PvP will still be possible.

Edit: PvE news coming tomorrow. New Incursion. No Gear Score increase with the 1.6 Update. AlphaBridge nerf incoming.

They said they are testing some things in the PTS servers to eliminate the grouping up in PVP solo.

Wonder how they'll implement the nerf, maybe half the percentage of the talents?

I'm loving running with all the High Ends so not too fussed about AB. 93R,Bliss Holster with sentry 4 piece also works very well once stacked up.

Give it a try, works better than I expected since the pistol stacks both sentry and the additional damage from the holster. The 93R has some mega recoil so fit the highest stability mod you can, reduces it greatly.

Yes, to my understanding, Dark Zones 7-9 are a free update for everyone, and part of the regular Dark Zone.

They're also not increasing the player count in the Dark Zone, so between the new PvP mode and the larger Dark Zone area wise, they expect the Dark Zone itself to be more PvE heavy, while still having a chance for PvP.

Ah shit thought you had it, got both of mine from survival caches. You know now you mention that I may have swapped it out and I could be getting confused with my HE build that uses the 93R.


It's funny how they reckon most people will be in Last Stand PVP so the DZ will be lighter in players so more farmable without being jumped/ganked but not everyone will have or be getting last stand to play the dedicated PVP. The bigger DZ with same player count should definitely help though. Hopefully 7-9 is a decent size with 3-4 landmarks in each with underground locations to explore as well.

And by that very same reckoning those Dark Zones become an even better place for ganker squads, as PvE players will have a false sense of security.

D3 was at the ETF2 and just hinted on Twitch that having multiple characters will be getting extra benefits. Good news, as it's currently pointless.

I hope we get bonus XP per extra character or something like that, maybe even a cool looking vanity item.

For me my 2 main things are:

New Game+ option where all side missions and encounters can be reset so they are back on the map and replayable in the current world tier.

Higher density of mobs ditching the red bar trash mobs for Veterans walking the streets with more named elites roaming.

Doubt either of them will happen but other than adding new content I'm not really sure what else they'd have up their sleeve for PVE content.

Just a few examples that would need specific gear/cosmetic rewards to keep the player interested daily/weekly.

Cool, like the directives in story missions idea. That'd work well for sure. The randomised named boss mission is how I first imagined HVTs would play out, rather than just paying Intel to get the location of the boss, there was a mission structure to locate and find the boss yourself with certain clues from mini missions to the location of a hideout or something.

I'm wondering if this incursion maybe some type of skyscraper incursion as I've lost count the amount of times I've seen it recommended with various floors having different mechanics to progress to the next level or something along them lines.
 
The density of DZ 07-09 is what particularly interests me at the moment. They're describing it was an effective doubling of the movement room of DZ 01-06 thanks to the open buildings, rooftops and various arenas you could move through. Expanding it north to 65th St also opens up the possibility of the New York Zoo being a play space once Central Park opens up assumingly during the Year 2 content release schedule.

Wonder if there will be any LZ map added around the DZ expansion or if you're expected to run back to DZ06 from 09 when you want to exit. I suppose with the smaller footprint of 07-09 it wouldn't take as long to run to a checkpoint but by no means a quick exit.
