Cleared Zurvan EX.

I know skipping the soar phase is great but people really do not want to learn the mechanic at all. I have a feeling this is going to be a pain to farm.

I'm really confused with people refusing to learn because Soar is extremely easy to deal with when you're familiar with both patterns. We taught the casual FC members (who were never able to skip the first one) yesterday and they all had like a 90% success rate performing the mechanic correctly.

It's no harder than Shiva Ex in terms of coordination, really.

idk it's just so easy to skip Soar and LB the second one when solo tanking. Farmed it with a group last night, people got their shit and peaced out, and we got some replacements that weren't as good and STILL skipped Soar.

I mean sure if you're running it with potatoes it's useful to learn but otherwise you should be skipping that first soar (unless like everyone is in i250 and even then you might be able to do it if they're really good).

Its just about reducing the element of risk. It's another move that early on means potential death, and not having that basic level of dps means a longer fight. Farms are all about kills per hour. Luckily with soar, there is actual time to recover before tethers, but still. Once you experience it that way it hard to go back. Especially when you enter single tank 'farms' with 5 (and sometimes fucking 6) dps that still can't push dps, one can easily get an attitude about the whole thing. Like if the group can't even meet that standard, they probably can't handle the rest while keeping up any semblance of respectable numbers.

Last couple of quests were great, shit hit the fan really hard. It got really dark there.

DPS get slowest queues outside of 24 man raids.

If you want to get faster queues as DPS job the only thing you can really do is queue up with a tank or healer before hand.

Yesterday I used the party finder to do this for Dun Scaith as a tank and I got in at 18 minutes versus spending upwards of 40 minutes queueing on my own for it.

I don't think so. Your only option is the Shire weapon and augmenting that with drops.

That's crazy. I'm pretty sure in our FC just Victor did it. Maybe not, I'm not sure what goes on during the daytime. I think Drama disavowed all knowledge and participation though.

Tried Zurvan EX in RF...that was interesting. Looking up more of those Soar diagrams so I understand it (though it doesn't seem that bad)

And now I'm begging tanks to have a pull macro so I can line up my mudras to achieve maximum damage...they aren't going for it.

I hear this criticism from time to time and while it doesn't apply to me I got to say that this is for the most part a narrative driven MMO and if your not invested in the story than your going to have a hard time making progress.

Ultimately though it might not be in Square-Enix's financial interest to allow players to catch up to the current content so easily because your more likely to unsubscribe once you caught up.

Sure you can say the opposite is true where making a brand new player go through the entirety of 2.0 to access 3.0 could make them unsubscribe but I think Square-Enix hopes that you unsubscribe because of the lack of new content (in which case you may come back to the game) instead of quitting because there's too much to do (In which you are less likely to return) so if unsubscribe is unavoidable than Square-Enix might as well make as much as money as possible out of players in your situation.

It's going to be interesting to see how they handle this in 4.0 (unless they already mentioned something about it).

I resubbed and am catching up to 3.5. At 3.0 nearly now. It's for the best. This is a story driven MMO, if you don't like it then it's not for you. Wouldn't have it any other way. It's not even that bad lol. Maybe 2 weeks of on and off playing; my 50 is at 54 now and I have a 42 SCH now too. That's heaps of progress!

Managed to down A4S tonight for the first time. It is a pretty fun fight but I couldn't imagine clearing it when it first launched. Pretty much the first Savage clear so far but I'm curious to see how Brute Justice plays out now.

There's Palace of the Dead if you want to try that.

There's also the Warring Triad when you get to 60 and beat Heavensward.

There's also the Hildibrand questline (beat A Realm Reborn 2.0 to access this).

Also the Scholasticate questline (nead to beat Heavensward and some of Hildibrand stuff to access this).



Other than that you can focus on the MSQ unlocking things as you go. When you get to 60 there's the Alexander raid and the Mhach 24 man raid series that you can unlock as well. A lot of this stuff besides Palace of the Dead requires you to be at 60 so just go at your own pace through the Main Story.

I crafted everything, Xtech gathered from favor nodes, Karl gathered some logs, Felix planted the acorns, and a bunch of other people gathered and donated some of the more expensive mats. Overall it wasn't too bad, took about a day and would have been faster if I hadn't had to wait for the acorns.

Damn it.

Start the character creator and save the look. Then boot up game in the middle of the night or early morning, load the look, name the character, and then go back to bed.
