Actually another good pseudo-AOE would be Saryn. Now that I'm running with a build that makes sense, spore spreading taking away half of the enemy's HP along with her passive of increasing status duration by 25% is facemelting. Although she has to keep casting spores, at least it's a one-handed cast.

If you go for ember, don't forget to use Flash Accelerant. Boost your own fire damage even more, and give a fire buff to your team (which is great for all that fire debuff you just tossed onto enemies). I wish she had the energy pool of Saryn prime...

I didnt realize that I had all of the blueprints for Saryn, so once I get 2 more <beeping> Nitain I will build it.

Ember prices are crazy

thanks for the tips folks

Cracked up when I changed the polarity on my Trinity Prime and had to start over, thanks to EV build I was able to just farm xp with a group and lvl 40 infestation mobs and hit 30 again in probably under 2 hours

I lack Growing Power, Power Drift, Energy Conversion, Overextended, and Primed Continuity.

Steel Charge and Dead Eye are the only Madurai auras I have, so the former is in for more capacity. Cunning Drift occupies the Exilus slot since it's the only one I have that affects powers.

Intensify, Continuity, Stretch, Constitution, Quick Thinking, Flow, Streamline, Rage were the rest.

I wasn't sure if Rage+Quick Thinking was a good idea but thought I'd try them out to see if they synergize. I think they're what causing issues on the higher level stuff with energy so I will take them out. I will try replacing them with Transient Fortitude and Fleeting Expertise. I had ignored them because of the hit to power duration.

Don't worry about Ember Prime. She'll come around again eventually, and the only difference between her and regular Ember is slightly higher shields and armor, which really don't matter for Ember anyway.

Although Prime does have one of the best helmets in the game. Top tier fashionframe.

Man back in the day, that combo was a free ticket to living forever if the frame had a deep pool. Then they added that dumb stumble in and at first it was actually really bad. But some patches and adjustments later, and it's pretty good actually! Personally I would just use Transient and use Streamline for your efficiency.

If you didn't already know

Overextended= vault runs in the derelict
Power Drift= Challenge rooms on Lua (which you have to get 3 to unlock sedna junction anyway)
Energy conversion= Simaris Rep
Primed Continuity = gonna have to wait for Baro
Growing power= Photoframe for apothecary (I haven't done this either too annoying for me)

Unless something has changed, you can cheat this one.

Run Silver Grove, preferably with Nekros, use the Apothecary (forget which one), and if you don't get the aura you want, close the app. Repeat.

For 25% power strength, it's worth the trouble IMO.

Been doing a little more farming to get that aura myself. On PC, abandoning the mission didn't preserve the apothic, but I haven't tried just closing out the game.

Also, it'll be better to run Hydroid instead with his pilfering augment if you have it. If you don't bring anything else that does damage, you'll get a guaranteed double drop when they die from the tentacles, whereas Nekros only has a chance for extra loot on a desecrate.

Edit: Was going to give closing the game a try, but nabbed 3 pistol amps and a growing power from two Nightfall apothics. All done!

Grats! You may want to look for a Stand United as well. It's great on 4-5 obvious frames.

After Silver Grove, I had to give a bunch of frames neutral auras.

I do have Stand United, but I haven't honestly given it much thought. Most of those frames are probably using Steel Charge, so losing the extra 4 capacity might suck, and I'm not too convinced that 25.5% more armor will be something I'll notice. It's something to think about.

Maybe I should've given my Ember a neutral aura instead of changing it to V. I'm too used to having those extra points I suppose, though I can't see myself going back to even Corrosive with her. I've never really used her for the highest level stuff like sortie 3 where armor stacks the most.

So don't quit the mission or extract but completely shut warframe down and reload it?

Yup. That's what a few of us were doing that first week when we were farming the mods to sell.

We'd bring a Hydroid and two Nekros and take turns using Apothecary's, and if we didn't get either of the rare auras, whoever used their Apothecary would close the app and the other two would finish the mission. It wasn't uncommon to get triple drops with that combo, and we didn't have to do a ton of plant hunting.

It should also work solo. They may have fixed it, but I kinda doubt it.

What if I already did the mission? I want to farm those mods

Thanks for the advice with the Ash seeking shuriken mod. Gave it a try, and though the builds prob not fully optimized it was still shredding stuff pretty good. I've kept fatal teleport on there as well, in case something needs some extra murdering. Good fun so far

Unrelated, but can anyone give an idea what the going plat rates are for syndicate weapons? 20-40ish? Or does it depend on the weapon? I've got red veil and steel meridian maxed, and got all the weapons and most of the augs I want from the veil, so thinking it might be an easy way to get a little plat for a few more slots. I don't really have enough spare Prime stuff to sell (besides I'm always well short of ducats everytime Baro rocks up anyway) or spare super-sort-after mods so Syndicate stuff is the next best option yeah?

I know they need to be basically 'untouched' and still in their wrapping as well

Depends on the syndicate and the weapon. Right side syndicates are generally more valuable for their weapons because more people chose left side. Red Veil's are usually at least 40 each. You could do more with the Vaykor Hek and Marelok but Sydon isn't in big demand.

They need to be brand new. No level, no XP, no forma. I usually don't buy them until I've settled on a trade and made sure the other person is the right MR for the weapon.

You can usually sell augments at 15-20 a pop.

Ok, thanks. Looks like I might have to stay with the Veil a while longer. I just got myself a Vaykor Hek too (dear god...) with standing, so I'll have to grab a few more of them by the sounds of it.

Also didn't know augs go for that. This whole syndicate thing seems like it'll be a nice way to make some plat

Prices may be a bit higher on PC for syndicate stuff.

On PS4, I sell most of my syndicate weapons (right side) for 30-35, and the mods for 10-15.

Finally completed War Within. Not sure I loved it, but it was ok. Kinda annoying at points but ok overall. Felt far more 'cinematic' then the second dream (for better or worse), which just felt like running a bunch of normal missions, with a few cutscenes interspersed.

Ah thanks. Noted. I meant to specify ps4 when I asked, but see I didn't when I re-read it now. Derp

I was a founder way back in closed beta, I remember when the game was just the inside of a Corpus ship and not much else...

The game's come a long, long way. This is my first time experiencing the tutorial sections etc... I'm quite impressed.

I take it there's no way to access my PC account on ps4? I know they had migrations a few years ago, but they were timed. Any plans for this in future?

I've got so much stuff on my PC account, it seems a shame to have to start over. I'll especially miss my founders gear. ;_;

No, there is no migration and likely there won't be again. IIRC the two systems are too different now, and cert requirements block them from having the migration.

What's the best way to make platinum? I keep hitting walls when my inventory gets full and when I have no more warframes and weapons to rank up.

I bought plat with real money once, but I'd rather not have to keep doing that if I can make money in-game.

Syndicate weapons, extra frame sets, arcanes from raids, legendary cores from daily sorties if you can get lucky.

One of the toughest things to do that will always net you a ton of platinum is to play the game right when a new prime set comes out. Farm and sell all of the new things you get. Don't try to hold onto one for yourself, just dump it into the market. If it's a particularly beloved Warframe or weapon, hold up to a set.

On PC, I've found that the first week has people frothing to get the new things. Common parts go for at least 50p, rares upwards of 500p. A full set might go for a thousand or more. Things might be more relaxed in price on PS4 but I'd be willing to bet that the desire for the new thing is still there.

But it sucks because you also want the new thing right there, right now. Just keep in mind that by the end of a new cycle, you can usually buy entire set of what you need for cheap.

Sell your veiled Rivens. On PC I can get 50p for moderate or easy challenges, especially for the Shotgun rivens. Sure you might roll it into something good, but you might also roll something not even worth the endo it melts down into. On that note, you can also make a small killing on fully stocked Ayatans.

Also don't be afraid of making small sales. Life strike for 10p, the syndicate mods for cheap, etc. Use up your trades for the day. People become obsessed with the one big payout trade when they could be making just as much (if not more) with many easy sales. Most of the Corrupted Mods (the ones that come from Orokin Derelict Vaults) sell pretty good. Rage is another easy sale off the top of my head.

Be kind and courteous to those you trade with. Be willing to haggle a bit, and know how to work the system for your favor. Want 30p? Start the selling price at 35 or 40. When you drop your price down to what the other person wants, it ends up making them feel like they got a deal, and you're getting the actual amount you want. Just don't set the price dumbly high, otherwise you won't get any bites.

I wish Warframe.Market would support a PC/PS4 split. It's a great resource for figuring out the price or even making sales.

Whelp. Came back to the game after a year plus now that I could actually afford the hard drive space with the new ps4 firmware.

3 days in and semi addicted. Decided to spend my 120 platinum getting the prime version of nyx who I have enjoyed playing.

Finally spot a deal on the trade chat after few hours, and alot of questions about the system/process to some patient randoms in between.

He invites me to his dojo, and I can only trade 20 of my 120 platinum. I am now incredibly embarrassed. Some reflecting made me guess that 100 of my platinum must have been freebies from launch? I can't imagine any other reason they would be locked. What was most surprising about it all is where the fuck the 20 I could trade came from. Scanning the market, it looks like i bought a damn color palate. I was shocked. I don't remember spending more than 5 hours on this at ps4 launch, so why I allowed myself to spend real money on platinum for colors for such an experience surprised the shit out of me.

Anyway, now I'm primeless after hours of getting myself excited. Sigh.

That trade chat is legit overwhelming. Knowing their is this huge economy behind EVERYTHING. I'm so not use to this.

It would help if there was a proper trade system in place and not Diablo 2 era bot spam lol. Or some way to browse prices in game. I have extras of most sets in the game, tons of mods, other random crap to sell but I don't have the time or desire to waste 20+ hrs figuring out a whole nother meta game and then deal with scams and trade sharks etc. Just let me list it and leave it.

Yo, why no-one talk about Nehza. I just built him a few days ago and having alot of fun. His first 3 powers are all legit handy. The halo especially seems pretty OP defensively. One off energy cast cost. Great. Knockdown and status immunity. Yes please. Damage mitigation, and a short invuln period after cast. Cheers. The ability to transfer those buffs to my teammates. Fuckin aye. Its also pretty rad teleporting to your chakram with fire walk active. I'm still figuring out his 4. It seems pretty situational though. The best use I got out of it so far, was dropping it on one of the syndicate hunting parties when they spawned. It basically locked all of them up to be Vaykor Hek'd to death.

He's also mad speedy, surprisingly tanky (thanks to Halo) and has the funniest animation set in the game with his noble set.

Now I need to get to work to build me an Orvius. That things a must for Nehza

Ya, it's a little archaic. I've bought a couple of things and at the end of the day it was reasonably hassle free, but would have been so much easier with an auction house of sorts. Selling stuff on the other hand, is so much more intimidating with the current set-up. Big part of the reason, I've yet to sell anything for plat

They have talked about changing up the trade system, but more important things are in front of them right now.

Yo, why no-one talk about Nehza.

Couple of reasons. For one, he was restricted to Sortie rewards for a while so people had some trouble getting him as opposed to his current spot in the dojo. The other, he's kind of like a discount Rhino. He's got invulnerability that is identical in function for defensive purposes (ignoring Ironclad Charge), and a room stopping ultimate ability that freezes enemies in place. So then you start getting minmaxers who make opinion pieces and who dig into the nitty gritty of what's offered.

Nezha's first two abilities are kind of meh. Run faster for a channeled cost and leave behind a fire trail that enemies have to step on to have any kind of effect. Toss a bouncing disk that doesn't really have any way of guiding it, and the healing effect has a very small range. Compared to Rhino, Nezha also has a much smaller EHP. Also if you happen to be lucky enough to have an Arcane Vanguard helmet, I believe their running speed is the same. Oh, and Nezha has that dumb animation he has to do every time the timer runs out on his ultimate ability.

Nezha is a lot of fun though. Drop kick some sucker from across the room thanks to his slidey passive.

Yeah, the way trade is now makes it hard to sell some older non-vaulted prime pieces. I have dozens of prime parts which I want to sell, but they aren't particularly sought after since they've been out a while, so trying to sell them is a lot harder then it would be to sell a Valkyr Prime piece for example.

If we had a place where we could just leave our stuff for people to find and buy then it would make the process easier and less time consuming.

Anyway, with it being patch day today on consoles it's time to say RIP to the Lecta. Your easy money making ways will be remembered my old friend.

Glitchesarecool pretty much laid it out already. There are only two things that Nezha has going for him over Rhino, his speed and his Warding Halo. Rhino just needs a bullet jump mod to make up for his speed, but Warding Halo is an okay reason to use him. You can put it on sortie defense or rescue targets along with other players. You can even put it on your own sentinel if you aim correctly while sliding.

It's unfortunate for Nezha, but Rhino is better in almost every way, even without his augments. He can be fun though.

Warframe may be slowly devolving into a Chinese MMO grind hell, but fashionframe still makes me come back to it.

Whilst Warframe is a grind, one thing I do appreciate is that it isn't full of loot lockouts to artificially increase the grind even more, and the very few lockouts it does have are kept short at like a day long, which is fair.

These week long lockouts that some MMO's and other games have are bullshit, and always done under the pretense that if they don't exist then people will quickly get what they want and stop playing the game. Warframes continuous popularity however proves that notion completely fucking wrong, it shows that if your game is fun, people will play it regardless.

Warframe is getting more grindy, unfortunately. But they haven't broken the backs of the users that keep it thriving yet, so it's still able to chug along.

So tempted to buy mag tennogen.

Yes, if those time gated mechanics didnt exist the game would be pretty much dead , still Warframe is pretty simple on that regard. People can get the new weapons, primes or frames in one day maybe a three days if you are lazy.

Others games requires months for gear or weeks for weapons or spam multiple accounts to farm your desired weapon

Ah ok. I'd never have drawn a comparison to Rhino, but that said I don't have much experience with him beyond leveling him to 30. Interesting. I think I'll continue to use him though. He fits nicely into my preference of under-used, under-rated frames, and Halo is pretty much my favorite thing about him. At least that sets him apart a little

And yeah if he was still a sortie reward, there's no way I would have him now

It actually had been confirmed in datamines a while ago, but these are the first accidental pictures and I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the design. Although I'm not a huge fan of the energy tassles, at least the helmet can be swapped out with anything.

Giving her a unique weapon is a really interesting design choice too. Sounds really neat in theory, "...Fires both focused and broad shots." It'll have to be pretty kickass to get me off the Tigris bandwagon though.

P.S. why can't I find the sword they released with the frost skin. I know it's a sword skin but what is the base weapon for the skin?

It definitely works on Broken War.
