NBA 2016-2017 Season |OT| What do the Liberty Bell and Ben Simmons have in Common?

Lol at the anger in here. KD going to gsw is exactly what I would've expected of him. He has a history of disappearing late in big games and it was no surprise the dude shriveled up 3-1 last year. Same goes for Westbrook, and hell same goes for harden back in those 2012 finals, might be different now they were kids then, harden hasn't been there again. Durant has been in big moments like that though, and underperforms when it mattered most. Guy joined gsw to get his ring. Can't entirely blame him, but it only proves what a lot thought of him.

Edit- also OKC did a piss poor job of building/retaining that team around him, by moving on from harden and some other crap moves made over the years.

Ok, suspicious kiss cam was last time out, now someone is competing for a year's supply of Velveeta cheese. I don't have a joke here, actually I'm gonna stop making fun of OKC now.

Has there ever been a worse broadcasting duo than Van Gundy and Mark Jackson? Holy shit.

I wish FS1 would hire Mark Jackson.

Marcus has been attacking a lot more. Probably going to jinx that feels like Everytime I say that he starts settling for 3s again. They're so much better when he doesn't shoot.

I don't think you would have seen this much ire had he gone to any other team.

That had a lot to do with it, yes. It'd be like Curry bolting to Cleveland after (hypothetically) losing to them again in the finals. He wouldn't be expecting a warm welcome his first game back in Oakland, either.

All of these cupcake/negative KD posters are cringy as hell. So childish. I could see if the guy was a huge asshole and had a "Go fuck yourself, OKC" moment but wow. To actually spend time creating a poster like that seems incredibly silly. Plus it seems like he did so much for the city. I can understand being frustrated or hurt as he seems to have touched a lot of lives off the court, but to behave like that..

Agree. I have no problem with the booing. Boo the shit out of him if you want, but it doesn't need to get any more personal than that.

Coming this fall to FS1, it's "Hand Down Man Down with Mark Jackson and **insert attractive female host**", followed by "Sources Say with Chris Broussard and **insert attractive female host**"

Huh? KD was incredible in the 2012 finals and is the fourth best postseason scorer in NBA history.

He had a solid finals for him, I was referring to the team as a whole, especially hardens disappearing act. I'm more referring to when the game is close and they're closing it out. I think part of that was the strange dynamic between Russ and kd on who the real closer was. They always would go cold and have crucial turnovers, and it happened last year as well against the warriors.

Well yeah, but they were playing against a well oiled machine in Miami with tons of experience. I don't really hold that finals loss against any of OKC's big players.

Kanter shouldn't be getting up lol
Talking shit in a suit because he punched a chair lol.

He averaged 30 PPG on 54% shooting (40% from 3) and that's "solid"?

Harden and Westbrook deserve a TON of heat. They were young you could see harden was rattled. I remember a stretch where he couldn't hit a layup, he even blew a breakaway layup.

Durant also struggled late in crucial moments if I'm remembering right in the Memphis series Durant struggled nightly in the 2nd half.

Well yes because as I said it was late that he struggled. He averaged 4 turnovers a game as well, and 30 ppg is great and all but it was right at his season per 36 averages. Again I'm referring to him being clutch in late game situations, where he seems to settle for deep 3s and turn the ball over more than usual.

I wouldn't mind if someone put Roberson on his sorry ass here, but Zaza is out and Draymond doesn't need that shit.

Roberson makes Raja Bell look like MJ, gtfo.

Better teams have gotten their ass beat by the Warriors. Not going to hold that against him.

Hope the Thunder are able to strengthen their squad this offseason.

Sure, and they just beat the defending champs convincingly a few nights ago. Just shows how overwhelmingly unbalanced the league is after this summer.

A complete lack of anything resembling an actual NBA-caliber offensive system probably didn't help much, either.

I agree with that, and like I said I think Westbrook is responsible for a lot of that with his hero ball and chucking up shots that Durant should've been taking. Durant has done his fair share of that as well to be fair.

Controversial opinion time. Celts defense looks so much stronger with ab0 out of the lineup and has in general. Idk what it is but he's been awful on d this year. Was looking at some stats and him and Isaiah are just bottomed out in terms of advanced defensive stats. IT is expected and I knew AB was a bit overrated, but never saw him as a negative on d.

Was also reading the plus minus of lineups with jaylen, jae, and Jonas is ridiculous ATM, with much better D and rebounding as well.

Sounds like Okafor will be dealt really soon. Brett Brown confirms he was held out of tonight's game due to "trade rumors". And he was seen shaking hands with Sixers officials.

Just a question of where he ends up. Pelicans or Bulls still likely destinations but also read the Blazers and even Lakers are in the mix.

Goat tank commander on the move. As long as it's not the celts I'm good with it.
