Limited Run Games - Putting digital games into your hands

Feel like this might appeal to some of you guys in terms of rare game collecting.

Video games plus just ordered reprint of the first 4 Yakuza games. The second of which was hovering around $100 beforehand. They are selling them at $50 Canadian each (probably $35-40 USD)

If interested definitely look into credit card issues with this site, most people say to only purchase through them via paypal.

Thanks for the tip. These games are far less expensive in Europe, fortunately.
I'd love them to port the 1&2 HD Edition in the West, though ! I would buy it in a heartbeat !

Is Yakuza 1 exceedingly cheap in Europe? I need the manual for that game and it doesn't feel worth it to pay $30 simply to buy a complete copy with a manual over here. Would be nice to finish the full set though.

On the topic of that 1&2 HD, yea I would snap that up in a flash.

I'm glad that another game is releasing alongside The Swindle. Really didn't feel like putting down $40 for that game alone. It's limited to 5000 units, so I assume it's a good game. :-D

Me, too. The product page says gold foil cover. Hope it's not just Volume, already own it on Vita and didn't plan to double dip. :-D

It isnt volume for sure. They said Volume PS4 is being handled by someone else. Probably waiting for that PSVR patch to be added as well for the other third party.

Still waiting for them to get back to me after my copy of Senran Kagura I ordered in october 2014 never arrived.

I don't think i'll ever do business with them again.

That's too bad. I've had a game lost with them once and they refunded it without asking any questions. It wasn't a cheap game either, some ~$100 LTD edition game.

LRG should look into doing a physical Switch release of Hollow Knight.

They want to get on Switch and this game looks right up their alley.

Just don't make it a Kickstarter exclusive cover version. I really don't like that trend, sooner or later there will be a project that can't deliver and I'm not a big fan of pledging money to so many rather mediocre games years in advance. :-/

This game is releasing (digitally) Feb 24th (and the Switch version should follow fairly soon after the Switch release), so I wouldn't worry about any of that.

I agree about the Kickstarter exclusive versions though. It will ultimately also hurt LRG if too many of their fans get burnt on failed Kickstarter projects.

Cool thanks, I didn't read the Kickstarter details but yeah I totally agree. I think it would end up being bad reputation for LRG if a Kickstarter with one of their game ever fails and people don't get refunded.

The Vita exclusive is tied on on Sony's end and wasn't able to make production right away. Vita stuff takes longer to get approved. We are hoping it comes out next month or at least by April. We send an email to Sony every two days in hopes it will speed the process up.

When will we get to know the name of that game?

If it's the game they've been teasing over the last month with Ray Ramano pictures, it's going to be Ray Gigant. It fits the $40 price point they've said it will have (it's $30 digitally) and they started teasing it as a "Giant" (Gigant) release.

I hope it is, so I can delete my DD off my Vita. The memory card filled up too fast... 64GB just isn't in the budget right now :/

I knew about the Ray Romano pictures, but I didn't know about the price. When did they mention it?

Their games always cost $10 over digital list price with a minimum of $24.99. I really wish they would bend that rule for $30+ games a bit though. ;-)

The problem with "bending the rule" when it comes to their pricing of more expensive games, is that if they went much lower, especially on Vita games, they wouldn't make any money. When they're paying the devs the digital price and are having to foot the bill for the print themselves, they're making a couple bucks at most on each game, which doesn't allow for much wiggle room at all.

I knew about the Ray Romano pictures, but I didn't know about the price. When did they mention it?

I'd have to dig for it quite a bit since it was mentioned several weeks ago, but I want to say Josh mentioned it on CaG.

I think the LRG account confirmed here that there'll be one $60 PS4 release in March (Dariusburst) and one $40 Vita release in February (unannounced, no longer February).

So any actual good games LRG pick up yet with decent pricing, as of now prices for these are overpriced especially with shipping

$75 for DariusBurst CS is a lot of money indeed for international customers, especially since none of the DLC is included (and there's a lot of it).

It's an "actual good" game though, and it's going to be valuable in the future to a certain breed of collectors.

But yeah, tough pill to swallow right now.

Honestly, Dariusburst in itself is overpriced. Full price digital games like this one are quite rare... for a reason.

But they've been adamant with their pricing. I've been watching the Asian version for a while and I've never seen it on sale :/

It must be a good game, and I know you're swallowing a pill yourself LRG with the rule-bending, but that's still a tough call (at least for me).
I'll probably end up taking it since I have one order on hold...

(also I'm buying Zelda Breath of the Wild for cheaper...)

Found both posts, thanks!

Looks like I'll have to endure a couple of months without spending money on stupid things.

Salt sanctuary vita trying to release on March, good news for people like me that have been waiting for the lrg physical edition.

I'm waiting for this too. I swear Salt and Sanctuary will be one of their most hyped releases to date. I fully expect orders to be harder to place that time around.

Wait, when and where was Salt and Sanctuary confirmed for an LRG release?

I just bought a copy of Oddworld on Ebay for £75 so hoping that leaves me with enough wiggle room for Swindle this Friday. Collecting doesn't come cheap #firstworldproblems

Just to make sure I understand, LRG has, at this point, only announced Dariusburst CS for PS4, correct? Do we know anything about whether the vita version?

I see that the vita version was released last month in Japan. I wonder if I will need to import that.

The Japanese PS4 version is releasing next month physically, I think. I saw some announcements a few months ago about both standard and limited edition releases for Dariusburst CS. Are there any details on what the limited edition is supposed to be? Will any of the DLC be included?

The details of the LE were already posted in this thread a while ago, and can be found on the Degica blog.

No DLC included.

Trying to sort out my LRG collection but I seem to be missing some stickers and postcards :/.

Anyone know/remember how many of those you get with each order? For example if I ordered both PS4 and Vita copies of the same game, do you get only one postcard and one sticker? What if you ordered three games in one order - does that also warrant only one sticker? And are the colors of the stickers random in some cases?

I'm trying to use complete eBay listings as a reference to make sets of Game+Card+Sticker but it doesn't add up somehow ._.

Update: Found some more stickers somewhere and I think I figured it out... It seems to be one postcard + one sticker for each game title (so a PS4+Vita set of one game still only warrants one postcard and one sticker). Think I got the sticker colors sorted out as well. I only seem to be missing the Breach & Clear Deadline sticker. That one is supposed to be a black background with red text right? Wonder where I put it ._.

Does anybody think that with Nicalis self-publishing physical titles for the Switch means that a LRG partnership is no longer an option?

I mean, they'll be able to sell their titles for $40 for the Switch while LRG would sell their games a lot cheaper.

I think nobody apart from Nicalis & LRG really knows. I don't think it's totally off the table but overall does it really matter who publishes the games after all? (apart from maybe a price difference)

Depends. If Nicalis self publishes and their games become available at retail, that would mean potential price drops, no stress on release day and far less scalpers.

I've never bought from these guys before but I always heard positive reviews on their system. I did buy a bundle of Skullgirls games to support the devs of that game, but I feel totally confused by the lack of communication?

As far as I know instead of doing what they normally do which is produce a certain number of copies and sell them, for Skullgirls they took make to order pre orders and because it hit some threshhold there was bonus voice acting added in? Normally i'm the huge dual audio weeb but I actually like the SG dub and I didnt even use my own address for shipping, it was going to be a gift.

But am I crazy for thinking they could at least email me once a month or week about this? It feels like its been ages? Is this information hidden on some twitter account i'm supposed to find?

I've only ever heard positive things about LRG and I know the SG people, outside of bad character votes, are incapable of doing anything wrong so i'm just kind of baffled here.

And then I saw this thread and posted a bunch of question marks?
