Thanks, wasn't aware of the fact they edited it. No wonder I haven't seen a 10km egg for ages though :(

They only just recently changed it. We don't know if the probability of getting each pokemon has changed though. So your chance of getting a Lapras is likely still the same it was beforehand, just seems even more rare since the 10km egg pool has gone down.

Though, with the new Gen 2 stuff, it will likely got up a bit too. But so will 5ks and 2ks... I hope some older Pokemon are delisted to help make room. Looking at your Weedle & Caterpie & Sparrow....

Also, during the event I got to over 600 Pidgey candies. Now curretly growing my pidgey list again (currently have 5) so I can do a mass transfer next 2x XP event.

If they don't pump a ton of the common trash from eggs for gen 2, I am betting a lot of people will rage. Already bad enough there are so many since almost nobody needs them.

I'm hoping they finally give us the ability to transfer eggs. Maybe get some startdust from it. Would make getting better eggs little easier too.

Also, I really hope we get the ability to do breeding. Obvious the pokestops eggs will be for a new chance at new Pokemon/etc. Would be a good way to allow us to do some breeding to get baby pokemon or more candy for harder to get Pokemon. I'd totally do Snorlax and Dratinis. Though.. I only have male Snorlaxes, so that's a no go. lol

To avoid the bloat that will happen due to future generation pokemon, I would suggest the following.

Have it so that incubators can have different region modes eg: Kanto mode or Jhoto mode.
Having it in Jhoto mode will cause the egg to hatch a pokemon in the Jhoto egg list and having it in Kanto mode will cause the egg to hatch a pokemon from the Kanto egg list. The egg lists will also probably share a few pokemon between regions eg: Magikarp.

I bet they'll keep loads (if not all) of gen 2 Pokémon in the eggs and they won't be making 'm seperato Johto or Kanto eggs/incubators either. Purely for the longevity, because most hardcore players will be having most new pokémon in three months probably.

There's still 18 pokémon I need to get/evolve from/through eggs, so I don't mind that much though.

2km: Magikarp, Machop, Abra and Cleffa
5km: Vulpix, Mankey, Growlithe, Grimer, Pichu, Togepi
10km: Hitmonchan, Chansey, Lapras, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Dratini, Smoochum, Magby

Guess I'm a slow player

Edit: just hatched Psyduck, Paras, Shellder, Ekans and Cubone. This game hates me confirmed.

Nobody will ever ditch 10ks, and people will be incubating like mad for the first few months to try and get all the new ones and the candies to evolve/power them up. Plus some people (like me) always keep 9 eggs going just for the stardust and xp.

Yeah one of the biggest things they need to do is sort out the eggs. I'd be nice if we could either transfer them to the Professor or send them out to PokeStops/Gyms. Alternatively, trading would make it easier too.

I pointed out that it should be relatively easy to recolor the eggs for Johto; Kanto eggs are Green, Orange and Purple Johto can be something like Red, Blue and Yellow. Which obviously is backwards but whatever lmao

They've changed the ball throwing sensitivity/mechanic several times already. We will adjust.

Hell. I remember the first 2 months of how it worked. Higher CP Pokemon/longer distances required a curve ball, since even if your threw it straight, it would auto curve... lol

I'm pretty sure these fuckers are breaking out of balls more often.
Yeah it seems like it, kinda shitty if true but I spent about 10 balls on a Growlithe and it kept breaking out so I said fuck it.

Scyther doesn't show the evolve option yet so... this update didn't provide the new Pokémon data?

I've had the update for nearly 24 hours now I think, I haven't noticed any issues yet honestly. But, was the end of the event so I was kinda only catching Pidgey's. But maybe catching 15 - 20 pokemon since yesterday and nothing out of ordinary for me yet.

They are not live yet.

Presumably the remaining data will be downloaded from the servers in-app. IIRC most of the Pokémon data is from the servers rather than hardcoded, which is how they can make certain changes without requiring patches.

Oh, interesting. I thought the data would be already there but they'd still need to rollout the new items and stuff. It seems like the discount for Pokémon storage isn't live either.

Catching Pidgeys is a lot harder now. They're more like weedle, hard to get a great throw and very hard/impossible to get an excellent throw on. They just managed to make the game even more boring than it already is. I think I'll might finally quit it. Not even new Pokemon make up for it, especially since you have to grind all the upgrades yourself. Managing Pokemon/Items seems even more like a shore and the more I think about it the less I want to play it.

Pidgey aren't Weedle category yet. I managed to hit an Excellent already. In return, Gastly seems to be closer now.

The update has been forced on Android for me.

I kinda didnt want to update because some of the changes are kinda annoying like the throwing mechanics are changed now. Gonna take some time to adjust.

They also took out the multi finger tap to skip the appraisal messages faster which is incredibly stupid.

Man the gym system is fucking trash.

Trained a gym up a level yesterday and put my Rhydon in, was the second strongest out of 5.
Lasted about 2 hours before being kicked out.

Found a level 9 gym and trained it, got 900 points for it out of the 10000 I needed.
Figured spending and hour and my entire stock of potions and revives to level it wasn't worth it and drove off.

I'll stick to finding low rank gyms I can take over to stick a throwaway Pokemon on for 10 coins a day I guess.

the gyms need an overhaul in general.
I mean heck I am blue and all the gyms around me are blue but i would happily pay 100 coins for a bomb to explode the gym back to neutral because I can't get in any gym :/

Use Pokemon half the CP of the bottom few. 10k takes like 10-15 battles.

realizing evolving two Slowpokes on Saturday during a big lucky egg purge/cleanout/evolution streak was a BAD CALL.

sigh.

On the flip side, in Japan last week I caught 2 Farfetched, almost got to the Seel Evolution in walking. caught 3 Porygons and a Ditto, and made massive progress towards Gyrados, plus hatched 3 new babies, so solid overall Pokedex wise.

Still never seen a Muk or Grimer.

Redownloaded the game because I saw the update supposedly fixed the connection problem with POGO+ on android.

Tried 2 different POGO+. Neither would connect.

Deleting again. Go fuck yourself, Niantic.

Have you tried resetting the POGO+? One of my friends had one that he thought was dead, but he reset (it's a combination of buttons I believe) and then he was back in business.

Did you disconnect the GO+ from the game 1st after updating it and then reconnecting it?

The Android fix came out weeks ago, and it fixed mine and luckily don't have to worry about that annoying thing again.
