So glad I'm married now, I don't have the patience for this crap anymore. I remember a girl I dated from online, went out for a bit, got fairly close. Then she rolled out of bed one day and was just done. Absolutely bizarre, just threw all the time invested away. As far as I know she didn't inmediately start dating after, but she had some baggage, I'm surprised one dude can do so much damage to some of these girls. I had to date several and get pulled into BS before I started getting a bit anxious.

Is she? It's not really a well-kept secret that gaming harbors some of the most petty, insecure, and hateful men in the world. The industry doesn't even seem to care about these issues. I'm sure she's been scolded by a gamer just because of her gender. I don't blame anyone who wants to write off gamers especially women.

Secondly there are a ton of ways any discerning female could weed out and screen such a horrific person. Writing off someone on an arbitrary basis like this seems woefully short sighted.
OKC is less about specific questions and more about answering enough to give the site enough data to work with to send you towards people that might like you or you like them.
You should be messaging a lot of people. Read their profiles and ask them a question based off it. don't just like everyone. etc.

The problem is, the question specified if you've EVER done it. Like even once in your life. So if you were 10 years old and on Christmas break and played games for 8 hours, you either answer yes or lie.
I think it's a bad question with no room for nuance.

I met an incredible, beautiful girl on freaking Tinder of all things and we're in a great relationship now, so I dunno, man. Show some wild passions you have (besides lol gaming). Get some photographs on a hike, another with animals. Y'know, that kinda thing. I'm just some schlub and it worked.
It's not really that long. Especially if it's something you did as a kid on a weekend or something. People typically spend eight hours a day at work, for five days a week, every week. The fact that someone did that once with video games isn't really a big deal.

You can have balance in life if you've played a game for 8 hours straight before. Some examples: playing games for charity as just mentioned above, playing games as a kid, having time off and getting caught up in a game, playing co-op with friends, etc... I'm pretty sure I played/watched Guitar Hero more than 8 hours straight quite a few times while partying in college and none of the girls there thought it was weird.
In your profile say that you're an "Amateur Philanthropist" that'll get you wicked swipes. If you get a date based on this because they think you are a) sophisticated or b) have money, and they ask you about what kind of work you've done, tell them that you haven't done much which is why you said you're an amateur.
