Amazing music in boss fights

There is literally no better boss music than Ludwig the Accursed -> Ludwig the Holy Blade in all of our Earth's history, from Bloodborne

I'm not kidding, as someone who generally was indifferent to Bloodborne's and most Souls soundtracks I will fist-fight anyone who did not hear this shit when fighting him and go "HOLY SHIT" and lose their mind.

This is easily the #1 Souls song that exists. Meet me with guns at dawn if you disagree.

No lies detected. The second part of the track is the hypest shit I've ever seen in a videogame. Even my friends who aren't into gaming had their jaw dropped so hard they couldn't believe what they were witnessing.

My jaw is dropped right now. Okay Bloodborne, I see you...

Yes guys, I'm talking about the Pledge of Demon from Yakuza 0. This is one of the best original musics for a boss fight that I've heard in years!

Just listen to this amazing track.
Yakuza 0 - Daisaku Kuze theme (Pledge of Demon ~怨魔の契り~)

That is pretty awesome.

Since Ys is already being covered, here's some more Falcom:
Xanadu Next - Evildoer

And since I've been playing Atelier Sophie recently:
Saturnus
Juno
Thistle Lotus (probably my favorite of those 3)

I don't hold OoT to anywhere near the esteem a lot of people do, but this track is a masterpiece, I may even consider it the best boss theme in the series. Ganon

Still get chills

I'm probably going to be hanging around this thread a while and littering it with tracks I remember.

Ooh, a music thread! How has there been no Xenoblade yet!?

You Will Know Our Names
Unfinished Battle
Tragic Decision
The Final Boss Theme Even the title is spoilerific, watch at your own risk!

Ok then, lets move onto the Bravely Series

That Person's Name Is A single boss theme for many different characters, yet it somehow manages to fit them all.
Wicked Battle My favourite part is the ending section, which bridges into the repeat of the whole song.
Spoilerific title
Battle of Anne
While I prefer the music in Default, this theme really stands out for me in Second. That guitar! (And not the electric one!)
Ba'al Boss Theme One thing you may have noticed by now is that Revo does godly intros.

And some miscellaneous

Nefertiti, Mana Khemia Best bait and switch ever.
Dancing Mad, Final Fantasy VI, Distant World II Arrangement I can't NOT include Uematsu.
Destati, Kingdom Hearts, Drammatica ArrangementOr Shimomura, for that matter.
Primal Dialga Battle Theme, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of SkyThe only problem with this piece is that it uses music soundfonts from the DS era, imagine how it'd sound with live instruments.

Megatron theme - Transformers Devastation

The moment when I truly fell in love with the game. This wonderful track that sounds like At The Gates got way into Mega Man during the songwriting process

Game is full of killer music but daaaaang this track. Perfectly complements the aggressive AI, plus the first Megatron fight is an electric fence cagematch. GOAT

Oh fuck yeah, totally!

The final boss music in Kirby's Return to Dreamland was really epic:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P95Ct52a-MM

It's especially awesome when doing a True Arena run.

Perhaps he's wondering why someone would shoot a man before throwing him out of a plane.
The Ace Combat Series has some of the most beautiful/amazing/powerful boss themes of all-time. Especially in 4/5. This series does not get the serious respect that it deserves. Keiki Kobayashi is one of, if not the most underrated composer.

Ace Combat 4 - Megalith (plays when you collide forces with an enormous fighter squadron and have to destroy a nuclear warhead launcher

Ace Combat 5 - Hrimfaxi (plays while fighting a giant submarine that can launch ballistic missiles)

Ace Combat 5 - The Unsung War(plays when you are shooting down an absolutely massive nuclear satellite on a crash course towards your capital city, also in my top 3 favorite pieces of video game music period)

Every Undertale boss battle track was both fantastic and memorable. Really love the Primal/Boss battle tracks in Final Fantasy XIV as well. Some others that stand out include:

Dragon God from Chrono Cross
Magus from Chrono Trigger
Never Return Alive from Streets of Rage 2
Omega Rugal from King of Fighters 98
M. Bison (aka Vega) from Street Fighter Alpha 3
All the boss fights from Deus Ex Human Revolution, especially Zhao
And of course, just about every boss theme from the Final Fantasy games

The Kuze track is so good.

Metal Gear Rising, the thread.

Rules of Nature is honestly the best boss fight song in gaming.

People love this one but it sounds pretty corny to me, it'd probably be a bit better without lyrics.

The E3 boss shown off for Nier Automata has a killer track.
Not even the best song in that DLC, hombre. Living Failures is the hypest shit.
Finally someone on GAF that recognises that track for the glorious bombastic shit that it is. The vocal interlude before the outro where you can hear the choir going full ham is something else.

Tower Theme: Monster Hunter - Tbh this whole post could just be filled with a MH soundtrack anthology, but I feel like highlighting this one because it manages to create a sense of tension and enormous scale in a game series that bombards you with it nonstop. Every small detail from the airy background noise creating the sense of size, the high pitched howling and whistles that add that spice of mystical tension, on top of deliciously simple but powerful percussion and strings. Also everyone needs a bit of HOO HAH in their lives (which Sakurai seemed to forget when he annihilated Diddy Kong). Just a little bit of everything nice without going overboard, truly makes you feel like the battle is something different from your usual hunts.

Cipher Admin Battle: Pokémon Colosseum
- This game easily has some of my favourite tracks in the series, and this one is such a great boss battle theme because of how it takes its time to build up the tension, even with a false start. Knowing that fighting a full team of pokémon would take time with all the animations etc, they took advantage to really build that sense of tension into a sudden explosion of energy.

I get kinda carried away talking about videogame music, but I really can't help it.

i'll have to put last and decisive battle at the top

No More Heroes is the king of this for me with all its boss themes but the best boss theme is Philistine for Margaret.

She's singing the song to Travis and its important to their conversations. The lyrics are from her point of view about Travis.

On YouTube if you search No More Heroes ost, soundtrack or song it's both the second and third song by view count. They're both close to Bad Girl's theme.

It's the song that has mattered most in any boss fight I've ever played.

It's also Catchy as Hell.
Thigh-high socks are my absolute territory
Go on and drool
Thank you for introducing me to this.
