Getting the hot springs trophy is a real drag. Since you don't know which ONE bath you haven't gone in yet (I have 92% found) you have no choice but to go to every single level and try them all.

Somehow I got this trophy on accident. I don't know whether to be proud or embarassed lol

I turned the game and wanted to finally go through NG+ and in few seconds I turned of the system.

I don't feel like grinding for new weapons for NG+

Sad but I don't think I will have NG+ finished before/if it's patched out. It could be a thing that is meant for the dlc, but it wasn't properly gated off.
Hadn't considered that, but it may well be. I don't think it'll take me long to finish off the main quest, I just need to stop spending so much time grinding smithing texts for gear I don't even intend to use right now lol.

When are people using high stance? I'm pretty far in, and haven't found a good use for it since it feels so slow (sword user).
Almost always with the axe. Move set has gotten super boring, but it's high damage and drains Ki very fast if they block. If they're not making an opening for me, I'll gladly trade blows and make one myself lol.

So to get Obsidian armor I have to redo a whole mission?

Farmed this one and the two weapons this morning. You can just run straight to the boss room in very little time at all. I was farming it on NG since I haven't gotten there yet on NG+, and from the start to finish it was taking between 3 and 4 minutes per run.

I'm currently doing the
Ocean Roars Again
(or something) mission. The enemies aren't bad at all but keeping my footing is proving challenging. I lit all the fires and seemed to have opened all doors. I got to the boss door really quick but didn't try open it until I explored. Does it just open or is that another place I need to search for a way around?

Boss door opens immediately.

Question on completing all missions trophy: does that include mystic art dojo missions for all the weapons? If so, goodbye that trophy lol.

Finally playing this again after some time. Just finished the 4th mission, and boy am I glad I ignored it in the Alpha. The other two are good, but revisiting levels wasn't all that fun, so having a stage I didn't know made a huge difference.

Overall it's been my favorite. I was disappointed when I thought it was going to end after that boss, but the game surprised me with a dungeon. N
ue
was awesome, and M
uneshige
was fun, if a bit too easy.

I've been trying to use the katana less for some variety, and man, the dual katanas on low stance are so much fun, I think I'll stick with them.

beat the game today (all sub missions and kodama) and clocked in nearly 100 hours. took the game pretty slow and leveled up to about 115. one of the best action games i've ever played, the combat feels so damn good i can see myself pouring a lot more time into NG+. look forward to the dlc and updates.

You can shoot the glass to take out the yokai and then sneak towards the left
kelley
and take it out, then you only have to deal with two thats how i did it.
Bumping this just to say, thanks to your tip I finished that mission just now. Only took two tries in that room, and then beat the boss first time :D.

Officially done with first playthrough at level 104 or something.

Gonna shelve the game for now though, I'm chomping at the bit to start Yakuza Zero.

Yes it does include the dojo missions although getting the weapon proficiency high enough to unlock them isn't as hard as you think.

Finally got the last piece for the last armor set I was missing, the collection is now complete. My favorite armor in the game, except the head piece, I wear a different one. Wiki's armor set page is now also complete. I hope we gonna get more armors in the future DLCs.

Good thing about Yakuza 0 is light attack is square, heavy is triangle and l1 is guard.

On the topic of armor- I know hero characters drop recipes to their gears, but what determines whether the blacksmith gets recipes for 'normal' gear?

I have a rifle that has 25% fire damage, do you guys know if it also applies to my sword if I have the rifle active and fire based weapon?

I have no idea man, I have collected them all yet can't craft half of it.

After spending the past couple days in NG+, I wish I would have stopped after beating the game :/.

The grind of farming for better drops/rolls/etc. didn't end up being enjoyable to me in a game like this. With the axe build, you get to a point where all you have to do is mash the strong attack combo and everything dies. While that seems appealing, it ruins the "magic" of the game.

Time to wait for the DLC drop in a few months!

Sekigahara is a sad mission. Shows how stupid war is. So many innocents lose their lives over foolish ass ambitions or ideals.
I get what you mean but hadn't Japan been in like constant war up until then? Didn't Sekigahara lead to the Tokugawa/Edo period, an era of peace.

What causes human enemies to suddenly get super armor? What can I do about besides hope they dont just start ignoring me?

With boss enemies like Muneshige you have to be extra careful for their big attacks and just learn it.

For normal enemies I find only the axe moves grant them some hyper armor. Those also extend to the players using that weapon.

Finally got my copy of Nioh today. Took only 2 weeks to ship too, pretty sure my copy of Yakuza 0 is lost in the mail though.

I also got a copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus on the Vita too (with DOA5 last round on the PS4 on the way) so I'm going all out on Koei Tecmo games!

Sad... I would love to have the Onmyou gear on crafting or the Samurai General set lol

Hundred years of constant war.

But even after Sekigahara, Tokugawa still spent another decade plus stamping out opposition to his rule. In fact that's where the DLC is taking us.

It took me around 30 hours to really 'get' the combat lol....now I'm switching stance all through a fight, Ki pulsing all over the show and putting damage over time abilities all over everyone. Combos are amazing and once you get your timing right, you can go on near indefinitely...so good.

What's the name of the damage over time ability you get when you stack elemental DoT on someone? Detox or something...

Discord, don't know if it's still the official name.

What it does is if you have two elemental debuff on an enemy, you'll instant remove all of their Ki gauge and prevent them from regaining it, you'll do 30% more damage and stagger them each hit.

The Raven Tengu's remind me of the FF9 Black Waltz bosses.

Feels so good going through a gauntlet of enemies amidst a sea of dead bodies and walk out the first try. FEED MY AXE!

Any tips on how to beat the first boss? My weapons don't do shit against him, feels like the fight will take 20-30 mins with how slow I shave his health off

Ahhh that's it! Thanks heaps :)

Oh wow that's cool as hell, I'm an Onmyo Spear Mage Fire build with a Fire Spear, so I'm gonna load up on talismans for double trouble!

Indeed. I had an idea if which ones I used but even like that had to do the bathhouse just to be sure.

BTW, do you just get the + weapons against regular enemies in all NG+ missions? Or only like at bosses or something?

I think i got some off revenants.
Literally impossible to get them from revenants. This has been tested to hell and back. Any Divine item drop with lv 150 has a chance of having a +#, with higher level missions and mission rewards naturally having both a higher chance of it and the +# can be higher.
Do you only pick up +1 weapons or can you get +2, +3, etc?
Zephizach has mentioned seeing drops as high as +6 in the late NG+ missions.
how do you craft green gear in nioh? I am bout to finish world 2. Last mission. Still can't craft it.
You more than likely can. Just pick any item you want to forge, then place the selector on the 'Forge' button. You should have a tooltip of pressing triangle to apply Divine shards, which will enable the results to be divine. Invest more shards, up to 10, and you have better chances of the item actually being divine.
