NieR: Automata |OT| "I wouldn't expect too much from this game if I were you."

So, the HK version has the English dub? Or just text.

All versions should have the language support listed in the OP.

It's already been confirmed that the Japanese version has all language options in the OP, so I'd assume the HK version will too.

So...Someone in this thread has already finished the game and yet we essentially have no impressions.

Impressions. Now.

Nobody in the thread has beaten the game yet, one person has gotten the
first level death
credits. (Which is a very different thing)

Thank you.

This fucking sucks, lol. Do I have two weeks worth of self control?

Just pre-ordered the soundtrack (bonus CD included if you get the first edition) and art book (Akihiko Yoshida!) in anticipation for this. Don't need the Black Box edition with those. Fuck me it's going to be a long two weeks. At least Nioh will tie me over until then.

Like they have different faces, or something else?

The bodies vary in shape and size, and the heads while usually keeping their basic round shape are decorated differently depending on the area. But I'm not talking about their looks, really, but rather the amount of different kinds of enemies and attacks they throw at you.
Some enemies will look familiar at first glance, but then not act like it at all.

Ah okay, I was already aware of that. Was just wondering if there are actually different-looking robots.

So apparently it takes a couple of hours for the Japanese store page to go from accepting pre-orders (with pre-order bonuses) to accepting regular orders. Right now it's currently in that in-between time where pre-orders have closed but they haven't started accepting orders yet. That's why there's no price listed for the game currently.

Hopefully goes up soon. I might cave and get it from JP or HK store.

I really want everyone to know how much more Titanfall 2 sold than Nioh. It was a staggering amount.
Seems the rpg aspects are a lot bigger then in the first nier going by all the different upgrade possibilitys
Any impression now? the streams make me concern, need some good news...or bad news

Might possibly cave and buy the HK version, though I don't really want to go through the hassle of setting up a HK playstation account, also that Steam release. What to do GAF? Help me!

Is there a reason people are choosing the HK version over the JP one? Does it have English menus, or is it just a price thing?

Please tell me you can unlock more weapon skills, ill die.

Haven't seen skills for weapons yet but in a preview video a gamejourno said different combinations of weapons unlock uniqe skills.

Combat is fluid and fun, the game on hard is definitely challenging, there seems to be a lot of RPG to it, the soundtrack so far is amazing as expected, the world is meh to look at but i really like the verticallity of it, haven't seen much of the story yet, some Taro weirdness is definitely in but i don't wanna spoil, the framerate sometimes notciable drops when entering a new area, but is fine the rest o the time (base PS4)

Does the asian version have full english support by any chance?

English menus, english dub and english sub

This game is in the top 15 in "video games" on NA Amazon.com, and #1 on Amazon.jp, so it might actually sell pretty well!

Douchebag. Yes, me.
Hmm... what is the price in Yen of the Japanese version?

It looks like Play Asia only gives out PSN cash codes digitally for HK cards? Looks like they have to ship you the JP ones?

It took me less than two minutes setting up an HK account, due to the ability to have all-English menus. Getting an HK PSN card from Play-Asia also only took a few moments.

Where's the best and quickest way to buy jp PSN cards? Had a bit of trouble with play-Asia last time I used them.

The HK version is out in a few hours and it is cheaper, I think you should just wait until it is released..

God I feel kinda dirty getting this game early, but at the same time I don't think I can physically wait anymore. Who feels like a pile of shit with me!
