just got some alert on my S7 that there has been "A change to your Google account. Please sign in to continue."

I put my password in and then a 2-step temporary number and it seemed to work. But I have no idea what that was or why it asked for my password. Any idea?

Happened to me too

I didn't have the 2 step validation on lol

My dog was murdered by a 3.5mm audio port and I will not rest until the standard is dead
I also had my Google account punted in the last 12 hours. Weird.

what the fuck are they doing?

These companies think you have to sacrifice fashion for fitness. You really don't. Unfortunately the ZTE one being announced soon doesn't look a ton better.

The LG ones turned out terrible. Moto said they're out of the watch game.....not sure what other ones there are to look forward to? Disappointing AF considering android wear 2.0 looks pretty solid.

I guess if I do end up going iphone 8 I'll just cave and get an apple watch. I can get a free one actually but don't like that it's locked down. Android wear has better cross compatibility so I've been waiting for a goooood one. Thought huawei was the best shot since the first was a solid 1st gen model.

Maybe motorola will get back in the game out of disgust.

This actually looks more like a successor to the huwwaeii watch than the huawei watch 2 does

Disappointment all around though

I got punted from Google too a few minutes ago. Everything looks good. No out of place devices. The iphone gave me a double take but then I realized I've got chrome on my work phone.

has calmed down a bit.
Something major is happening at Google. The WiFi and OnHub devices are going down as well. Crazy how a problem at Google can take down my wifi network.

Count me among those logged out from Google stuff out of the blue.

Both YouTube and Photos asked me for my password all of a sudden.

Checking my security page, there don't seem to be any suspicious login attempts from other devices. Changing my password just to be on the safe side.

i get night mode is suppose to remove blue lights, but this is kinda extreme. pixel is way more 'yellow' than the mate 9 or my iphone's.

I'm guessing this shit went sideways and jacked everything up. I have no basis to think this, but a change to two factor auth and suddenly everyone's account security going nuts seems to go hand in hand.

Also, my YouTube subscriptions disappeared last night. They're back now.

So... i'm guessing they aren't gonna do the pseudo stereo speaker setup like iphone?

Anyways, enjoying the pixel so far. Battery could be better, hitting under 20% by 3pm or so, at my office with spotty cellular signal.

not too hard to top off though with usb-c fast charge though.

Not something ill bring out and about probably. Wonder if there are any good battery cases.

I finally got to try Duo. It's the best video calling app, simple, easy, fast, reliable. It was the first app in years that my mom could install without asking me for directions, really.

Didn't try all yet, which probably won't happen.

Google decided to drop Friday bombs: RSC Messaging is a MAJOR GO!

Google Blog

Whether we’re receiving a boarding pass for a flight or chatting with friends and family, SMS (better known as text messaging) is a universal way for us to stay connected. But despite its ubiquity, SMS hasn’t evolved to take advantage of all the features that smartphones enable today. We believe it’s important to innovate in messaging standards, so we’ve been working with the mobile industry on an initiative to upgrade SMS through a universal standard called RCS (Rich Communications Services), bringing more enhanced features to the standard messaging experience on mobile devices. Today, we’re taking a significant step toward making RCS messaging universally available to users across the world with 27 carriers and device manufacturers launching RCS to Android users with Google.

Following our partnerships with Sprint, Rogers, and Telenor, today we’re announcing that Orange, Deutsche Telekom, and Globe are committed to launching RCS messaging powered by the Jibe RCS cloud from Google and will be preloading Android Messages (formerly called Messenger for Android) as the standard native messaging app for their subscribers. We’re also announcing that the Vodafone Group RCS service is supporting Android Messages and has already launched across 10 markets for Vodafone subscribers globally.

These partners have also committed to interconnecting through the Jibe RCS hub so that RCS messages are delivered to subscribers across carrier networks, helping RCS messaging become truly universal. We’re now partnering with carriers representing more than 1B subscribers worldwide.

Yea by a go if you mean they added a handful of carriers, none of which is in the US, and changed the name of their app yet again then I guess it's a go.

brah

It just means the measured screen is 6.1" when rounded, and 6.2" if you consider the margins.

That RCS launch is legit.
That makes sense guess I'm an idiot
