Mass Effect: Andromeda has gone gold

The game went gold or just one of the endings ? After ME3, they must specify that.

I liked the series a lot and I am not hyped about this one, but I really, really hope it's a great game.

Bought Mass Effect 2 and 3 day one, but this will be more like day one hundred and ninety nine. Maybe longer. Critics will fawn over it for sure, but for me, the Bioware love affair is long over.

I did think there would be one more delay though, so kudos for actually going gold at the scheduled time.

Still not really feeling it tbh. I mean taking all the individual aspects of the game and examining them the game seems fine but there's just something that doesn't make it click. Charm is the only word I can come up with for what I mean. It might be the visuals, color palettes, the characters, I dunno. I don't mean to hate on the game, and I'm not hating on it. I'm just luke warm to it, more than I expected. No real hook has been introduced so far for me. Something that grasps me and makes me instantly interested without me having to go out of my way to think about all the possible good things the game has going for it in order to get excited about it. For the original trilogy it was that 'vibe' that is absent here.

It feels kind of weird not being excited for a Mass Effect game since I loved the trilogy for the most part.

I'm not bitter over mass effect 3 but not really excited to go back to the mass effect universe right now. Will wait the reception and see if it's a game that's worth buying.

Awww yissss. I'm feeling this one since they started releasing trailers. So many people have been nit picking this like crazy but I'm sure once everyone gets a chance to play they will enjoy it.

Mass Effect was the game that made me buy an Xbox 360 even though I wasn't at all interested in owning one. I just *had* to play this game. It was all I could think of the weeks prior to its release. I loved it, and its sequels. The ending to ME 3 wasn't what I had expected, but I was still fine with it. I'm ultra looking forward to Andromeda!

This is the first game in a long time that I'm actually excited to read/watch reviews of, not to mention check out people's impressions here. I enjoy the Mass Effect games, and the gameplay trailers look fun, but we'll see if they can build a new universe around interesting characters without relying too much on the formula they used in the first three games. With so many great games out or about to come out, I'm actually having to form a bit of a gaming budget and I'm still on the fence about this game.

DAI actually was well loved...

Great reviews and it got Game of the Year

It was well loved by the mainstream press, but I think fan opinion is definitely divided.

I personally thought it was a pretty soulless experience. With the exception of the main quest, everything else seemed like filler of the worst kind. Combat wasn't very engaging for me either.

Still looking forward to ME:A though, ME2 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I have feleing this is going to be more of that.

I hope the PC performance has improved. According to Brad it wasn't very good :(

Everyone in the hands on (I'm almost sure) was playing the PC version. IF anything, I'd worry about the console performance at this stage.

Hmm...my Amazon preorder still says that my Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe Edition will arrive on December 26th 2017. That can't be right.

now round up all the post of the people explaining why nobody cares.

They remember Mass Effect 3.
- We remember ME3
- We remember DA:I
- We remember we barely seen anything from the game and from the little we saw, nothing was really reassuring.
Yeah, the hype seems super low for this. I have friends who played the original trilogy and didn't even realise this was out this year!
EA marketing has been poor
Poor marketing, characters looks meh, average visuals, Mass Effect 3 ending, will probably be average overall etc...

love the series and I really want to be positive about it but I can't, we still haven't seen uninterrupted gameplay and that's worrisome at this point...
They're not doing themselves any favor with the marketing.
Because this game has seemingly been in development forever, was announced forever ago, and Mass Effect 3 left a poor taste in people's mouths (not mine). And, Zelda and the Switch are dominating the hype. I can't wait for this game.
Poor marketing.
I dont know why anyone is not hyped for the new game from the makers of Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age Inquisition.
I think EA has done a poor job marketing this game up until recently. Maybe they'll pick it up once Horizon and Zelda/Switch are out of the way

There.

But they obviously need to care at least a little to even post in the thread.

It's pretty normal around here now. Every big game has a hate squad that is just hoping the game fails.

Think it has more to do with sequels than the size of the game. They either change to much to their predecessors or not enough.
