HITMAN |OT| Blood Monthly

As someone just getting into the game, have I missed a lot in regards to the live content? Just found out about elusive targets.

20 elusive targets have passed - you can see them all in the Elusive Targets page under the Career tab.

We don't have exact numbers, but there will be more elusive targets for a while. We've only had one elusive target each for Colorado and Hokkaido, and we haven't even seen elusive targets for the bonus missions yet (although we know they're coming).

Not to mention that even in Season 2 we will have new elusives for the original locations as well.

God damn it, just missed out on SA with the new ET >_<

Someone spotted me as I injected the last target >_<
Fortunately I still made it out in time before shit hit the fan

female doctor was no problem, but the male doctor would never get out in the snow, so i waited for like 15 minutes in the restaurant and did it when he is in one of the separées, but somehow the waiter barkeeper across the room saw it

still no winter suit for me

So the restaurant booth is not 100% safe for injection. Thanks for posting that since I was starting to contemplate doing it that way.

Although now that I think about it, if you are ever in doubt about whether a syringe is safe to use on an elusive target, just bring emetic syringes for a test run.

Whats the rewards for doing it with the viral syringes?

You can't get SA otherwise, because SA requires all objectives completed.

MUnited83

For you.
Seems you can actually get a SA rating without the virus. You only get less numeric score for not completing all objectives. The SA rating still appears at the end, so does the challenge.

That said, im not entirely sure if it would count to the SA count for the suits, so if you really want that winter suit I would recommend doing it with the virus just in case, at least until someone confirms it.

I managed to get SA with the bonus kill condition. It's been a while since I've been able to pull it off. I had a few close calls when I was trying to figure out how to approach the targets but they both had a clear window of opportuity.

Got SA by poisoning Frydel with the standard lethal poison syringe and the female doctor with one of the special objective syringes.

Still no Winter Suit. Must be one more left to get it.

The female doctor doesn't seem to have a very varied route. Wondering if messing with the AI will affect it.

Got my SA in 4 minutes, nearly screwed up by going outside the resturant to the open area where it has the camera but had time to go downstairs and climb up the pole.

Unlocked the White Yakuza and Absolution with Gloves suits, thought I would have got the Winter suit but nothing. I must have messed up The Chef target.

Stupid easy if you already have access to the surgeon starting point

Frydel's conversation with the guard was pretty funny

Yeah the conversation was amusing.

Has anyone below mastery 20 tried the ET? Do you start without access to your loadout? I have a feeling that's why they added 2 lethal syringes in this mission.

My mastery was 7 when I did the ET, so I had to improvise by starting out as a Ninja.

MMarston

Was getting caught part of your plan?
Got SA+special condition for the ET.

Which is odd considering the bodies got found and I got caught trespassing at one point.

MrFreeze2244 has a video doing the ET with mastery level 1.

I just finished the ET with an SA rating. I came real close to blowing the SA because I got impatient waiting to get the lady doctor isolated. It was seriously about one second between me killing her and her body being found.

Thanks for the information. Now I'm convinced they put those freebie lethal injections in the level to help out folks who couldn't bring in their own gear in the level.

Freeze makes useful videos but I've never understood the point of watching an ET guide on Youtube. The risk of failure is literally the only thing that sets an ET apart from every other contract in the game. It's what makes them so much fun. We already cheese them by constantly restarting but I feel like following a video basically misses the whole point. Everyone can play the game however they wish to but this... yeah...

He has multiple copies of the game.

Can't you just have multiple PSN accounts on the PS4 and share a single copy of the game?

Some people came to the game late and want those ET SA unlocks.

Personally, I tend to explore the ET, figure out what I think is a good strategy, then check some videos to make sure I'm not off track to calm my nerves before doing it for real. Once I unlock the winter suit, I'll probably start yoloing up the ETs.

Well I think the suit unlocks add to the pressure but that's not a bad thing. Today was the first opportunity for everyone to try and unlock that yukata thing. And given how IO has handled live content so far (70% focused on Paris and waiting for 4 months before giving Hokkaido an ET), who knows when you'll get another chance. If you fail this one you might not get it for a long while. So yeah, there's some pressure there but I still feel like going with a guide is robbing oneself of the experience.

I missed the first 10 odd ETs as well so I'm behind many folks but I'm still doing them on my own. I've missed SA on some and even outright failed others but I don't let it bother me.

I do watch videos after completing an ET though. People always come up with really cool ways to do the contracts.

Failed SA again. Got Frydel outside without any trouble, but trying to get Akenawa in that empty room with a guard behind me looking through the open doorway was just asking for trouble.

It made for a good escape sequence, though. Ran around a cluster of alerted guards, out the bathroom window, then climbed up the pipe and ran to the hiking trail with no one seeing which way I went.

Feels good, can't wait for Season 2. Need to start doing more community contracts and I might go for the 100% on HD Collection. Then I'll have 100% across every title.

I just realized after multiple SA attempts that I already have the winter suit and I don't need SA for this one. So I just shot both targets lol.
Got the singature suit with gloves now finally.

Failed the ET because I accidentally use the emetic poison on the dude and didn't realize it til I had already run out to the chopper. Tried to run back in, guards went into trespassing mode, mowed me down.

Note to self: Never start an ET before coffee.

Seriously, that makes the lethal syringe incredibly powerful. All you need is a second or two of nobody looking, even in a crowded room, and you're good to just walk away and let the target drop where it may. Silent Assassin. It makes it all too easy.

Speaking of, you know what slight change I would like for season 2 (or in a patch)? Letting like vials of poison work as refills or charges for their respective syringes, ie. if you go into a mission with both an emetic syringe and an emetic vial, your first syringe jab would just use up the vial instead of the syringe, under the assumption that 47 refilled the needle.

That's very unsanitary, though.

Played a bit of this.
This game is unbelievably fun both following the rules, or making a big ol' mess improvising.

Reminds me of when i played Blood Money and Hitman 2, but actually without the shit i found frustrating about those games (bad controls, and not being very clear about its rules).

Really impressed with what they've done with this.
Levels are massive, too (done only Paris and Sapienza so far).

Too bad for the pointless online DRM, i had internet problems today, and it was annoying not being able to do challenges for no reason.

Would've been my 2016 GOTY for sure if i had played it then (but i didn't BECAUSE of the Online shit).

One of these days I'll get a SA on an ET. Somehow got caught when I stuck the second target when I thought it was a secluded area. Oh well.

Well, first ET I've failed. Got the female doc just fine with the syringe when
she was just standing alone in the medical hall talking on the phone
. Tracked the doc into the
sushi joint where he was having the humorous conversation about steroids/size,
no one had line of sight and
when the security guard walked out,
I stuck him, but somehow the crime was noticed. Got gunned down trying to make my way out.

The two target ET's definitely are more challenging as once one is out, you've got to make the next one clean. Still kind of pissed that someone saw me needle the guy with xray vision through his body
and the standing dividers in the restaurant.
