Yeesh. I was hoping for a modern engine with graphics that at least appeared like they came from this century. It looks like someone playing in a N64 emulator with higher resolution.

Turok 2 is one of my favorite FPS of all time, what i would not give for a real fully upgraded version

I was expecting the picture to change to this awesome crisp new HD version, but it didn't.

But I guess it's ok, it's not a remake afterall.

The nostalgia!

Turok 2, Rogue Squadron and Zelda 64. Oh boy what a Christmas for a kid in 1998!

a framerate in the double digits goes a long way

Oh my ARCEUS! I've been waiting for this remaster after the GLORIOUS remaster on PC of the first game. Fuck yeah! Day one.

According to the legalese at the end of the trailer, Penguin Random House owns the rights to Turok. I always wondered who owned the rights now, and since it's a book company, many they'll re-release the comics at some point.

Awesome. Hope they are going the full distance again and throwing in workshop support and level editor for some extra fun!

Who actually asked for this? The art doesnt stand up, the game design will definitely not stand up.

I feel like this has been a generation where publishers are just remastering shit because they arent botheres to invest in new IP's.

I can understand going back and remastering some ofnthw bigger titles of the PS2 / Xbox / GC gen, but this early 3D stuff just looks terrible and it was when developers were struggling to make games in a 3D space and they were all kinda of clunky.

I hope they do Turok: Rage Wars next. That game was fun and ambitious and (slightly) ahead of its time, but it's borderline unplayable today.

There is a surprising amount of demand for the N64 Turok games or so I have been told.

This game made me physically ill. I always used to have to play in short sessions.

I think it was the movement... or the field of view? I don't know.
I beat it but boy was it sickening.

That's what that trailer reminded me of.

What's the point of this? It doesn't look any different from the original and the original plays just fine on modern systems. Could have just released that on Steam.

Gotta disagree with most - this looks terrible. I remember getting this game for Christmas and the extra RAM pack for the N64. The game ran and looked pretty terrible even then; this looks like a sick reminder of 90s-era N64 gaming.

Why would you want to play this over any modern first-person shooter?

And F-Zero X too, N64 was where it was at back then. Metal Gear Solid and Half-Life can go suck a bag of dicks.

Man, every N64 game should be remastered. Every single one. Even Superman 64.

To be honest I've been enjoying early shooters from that era more than most of today's FPSs. I find they allow for more freedom and don't get in between you and the action as much.

I'm probably not going to play Turok 2 at full resolution anyway. What's more important to me is just having the game available again, especially on PC where I know I won't have to re-buy it for some future piece of hardware. That's the whole point of GOG, they'e just putting this game on Steam too.
