I liked how Mugi got more and more bold in the confession and before he could stop he said how he knows her true character, but even then her charms trapped like fly in a venus trap.
I only can imagine his 'reverse-hentai' dream of taking a heartless slut and turning her in a well adjusted woman won't really work.

Pretty true to life thought process of a high school boy when you think about. Those rose colored classes are indeed tinted. Sorry Mugi, everything will not work the way you want it to and you indeed just got caught in a venus fly trap.

Dang, this amazing. See 3gatsu, you can be good when you don't spend 90% of the script explaining to me Rei's character development and thoughts.

Fumoffu [END]

The last episode was probably my favourite, it got everything I liked about this spin off right.

Certainly enjoyable series, though I expected more laughs out of it. There were a few very good and funny episodes, but I found the majority was middling. My main issue concerning Fumoffu is that I don't find the school supporting characters that interesting. There are some exceptions that were mostly underused, but characters like Kazama or Tokiwa are just there. The last two episodes are the only ones I remember using a bunch of different characters in interesting ways. And well, this problem becomes even more apparent when there are characters like Tessa and Kurz, who unfortunately only had a short role in Fumoffu.

Moving to Second Raid now.

I think the episodes practically speak for themselves, and the quality of this series isn't a surprise at this point to anyone who is watching it. So just... woah, yep.

I mean...pretty much. My reaction to these episodes, especially the last 3 can all basically be summed up with "Jesus Christ..." A lot of people are going in depth with their hot takes on it but for me it's almost unnecessary. Everyone knows it's amazing and I don't really need to create a justification or explanation of it if everyone is on the same page.

Rakugo is insanely good every single episode without fail. It gets hard to comment on something thats such a known quality of consistence.

I definitely have to agree. I'm not sure if there will be anything else this year that will be able to beat it. I can't wait to see how it concludes!

KiraKira Precure A la Mode 5

We have a driving force behind Yukari, which I'm attempting to grasp from her flashback. We have one of our prettiest Precures joining the crew, and she is extremely capable of charming even her foes by stroking their chin. Shown to excel at whatever she sets her mind to, she can also be easily bored with what she's doing.... well almost. Unfortunately she's cursed to be unable to cook, and that's why she's here with this crew.

The starting portion of the Henshin theme was similar to music used for theivery and wiliness.

Color me fucking elated for this one.

Now then, we'll get our Ikeman, Akira in here next time

Demi-chan Episode 9:

I have seen few characters who just need to get laid more than the succubus here and I am not sure what that is saying exactly.

Sangatsu - 20

It's crazy to think how this show was so weak in its direction and now it's one of the strongest things it has going for it. Not to mention just how interesting the visuals sprinkled throughout every episode thus far are.

YGO ARC-V 81 - 95

Well once Academia became more involved the arc finally got a bit better. Reira standing up and defending Serena was great, though his downfall due to fears from his past was sad and painful. Further more pain and suffering for the Yuuya got to me even more on this rewatch. I almost thought they'd really combine after all that yelling and screaming. The ominous thunderclouds too was intense. Sora was a true star as well, but apparently he just cant stand up to his dimensions Yuuya (Yuuri).I wonder if more will be told on that front. We are just about where I stopped.

Will never like this spelling.

So I think I see where they're going with Dragon Ball Super.

Goku takes on everyone in every universe, destroying them all.
Goku wins, destroying all universes and gods, thus attaining the greatest possible battle.
Goku uses the Super Dragon Balls to resurrect all the universes, none of the worse.
Life continues on normally, everyone none the wiser that Goku literally destroyed all creation.

Advantage of a gag series going full shounen is they can go all out and not be weighed down by any sort of continuity that would make fans question what happened.

Decided to watch the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya today. It's my first time rewatching it in close to a decade. It's aged pretty well over all. Watching season 2 now, but fuck the idea behind Endless Eight. I'm just watching the first and last episodes of that. I "get" the idea behind it, and kudos to KyoAni of going through the actual effort to animate each episode from scratch rather than half-ass it, but I still find it to be a stupid endurance.

It's perfect. I rewatched it all myself late last year and loved it just as much as I did when I first saw it. Endless Eight is beautiful.

Hand Shakers Episode 6 – Emperor of Fortune

Fantastic end to the PreMemo arc of HandShakers. Koyori really managed to grow since her debut at the start. I was impressed when she was actually leading Tazuna along and able to see exactly where Hellfire Bloodrain would hit. All Tazuna could do was hold on and trust in her. I love their team and perhaps her too, best lead of the year so far and best female character of the year.

Masaru and Tazuna felt similar at times with their desire to fight for their partners. Kind of was hoping at some point that Masaru could actually win but if that happened the show would kind of end. HOwever, his use of the PreMemo cards for all the effects was stunning.

I also enjoyed the cameraman this episode. He really kept us moving, the upside down moments were the best

Brilliant absurdist comedy that's also something of a trying experience as if it grabbed you by the wrist, struck you with your own hand, and demanded that you stop hitting yourself.

Guess I'll see how they fucked up the next series sometime this week.

Vampire Knight ep.1
Interesting opening, but man, did they just throw the main love triangle out there in the open right away. You can also already see where the issues are going to come from. We'll see how it goes, but does this end up being a reverse harem?

I'm a bit late to this, but according to Discotek's Facebook, they've licensed both GoShogun and the theatrical sequel, Time Etranger. GoShogun will release on DVD sometime this year, while Time Etranger will get a DVD and Blu-ray release in June.

Also, they're finally releasing SeHa Girls on May 30th.

This show would be a complete classic if it had a Ghost Stories gag dub. Just imagine what thoughts they could put in Koyori's head.

Tanya the Evil - 8
This show shits on Aldermain from orbit. Excellent episode. It handled the horrors of war in a serious manner. Hell, it handled the concept of war crimes in a serious manner, which is even more impressive.

This is just about the point however where - like Aldermain - I start to notice that Tanya spends a lot of time winning, and not so much time losing. At worst, she is slightly inconvenienced by her plans not coming together so far as earning a cushy life is concerned. She has not equal on the battlefield. This is a problem. The show has been stellar so far, but they need to up the stakes. Seeing the same character win, repeatedly, is only fun for a certain amount of time.

I'm also not totally convinced that the concept of Tanya being a salaryman from Japan is totally worthwhile or necessary at all. I'm not sure where they're going with it, but I almost feel like you could cut that entirely and the show would be no worse off for it.

Yup. It's probably going to be my AOTY for 2017 as well.

The only thing the reincarnation thing affords Tanya is foreknowledge of future events and military tactics, and so it could've been anyone from any country as long as he/she took World History classes during highschool or something. All she's done that was Japanese so far (AFAIK) was shouting "tamaya" as if the explosions were fireworks, but that was pretty meh.

Regarding her having no equals, this episode has made it clear that
the guy whose gun Tanya ended up taking after beating him is still alive, and has been granted divine powers to oppose her or something.
I'm sincerely hoping she ends up being played as a disposable pawn by her superiors, but so far it looks like her "failures" only amount to climbing the military ranks on the frontside when she wanted to get a comfy position in the backline. Other than that she's still having everything go her way and has no trouble beating anyone, to the point that it looks like only the divinity who put her though all this in the first place can actually do anything to threaten her.

Gundam Unicorn 1-8

I think I can sum up my thoughts on the series as such. Great animation, good music, good mech fights, completely uninterested in both the story and characters. Were it not for Parasyte, this would currently be the least interesting show I've seen on Toonami, and it is definitely the least interesting Gundam show I've currently seen.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
I bet akane could outfuck succubus sensei.

Heard bad stuff about this but unsure how much of that is from it not being more of the same. Alice & Kazumi both showed up in the recent Christmas special so I'm assuming some degree of continuity. Looks like it's playing the concept straight which is fine if it's from the outsider's perspective as I'm a big fan of exploring settings and hope to see that done here. Also it's 12 minute eps so should be painless.

I feel like I never have anything to say about Rakugo. I can see it's good and appreciate it for that but basically as soon as it's over it just doesn't stick with me, like say the other standouts this season have.

Monster Girls 9
The worlds thirstiest succubus and some primo facial animation, that's basically what happened.
