Because to repair Mipha's weapon 40 meters behind that dude you need a diamond. You might find diamonds hard to come by if you keep breaking the weapon.

Barely touched that weapon, but I know about the repair shop, ofc because I haven't repaired it I didn't know the cost.

There are at least two other small areas that rain constantly until
you complete a shrine quest.

Speaking of that, if anyone here has done the Thundra Plains Shrine Quest I'm curious how you guys got the two missing orbs onto the middle platform.

The way I did it was by
carrying them to a ramp-like rock facing the platform and golfing them with stasis
but I also tried using
octorok balloons and arrows to push the orbs. But this is before I knew you could attach multiple balloons to a single object!

Basically, I have a feeling I didn't do it the intended way, but then again I don't think there is much of an "intended way" for most puzzles in this game.

I Wanna Be The Guy

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!
I have a max bond with my horse and the controls STILL FUCKING SUCK.

Sorry guys, but there's no defending the horse controls in this game. They're bad. End of.

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
"I'm gonna fight the establishment!"

"Actually Hyrule doesn't have an establishment. I just like monsters."

Some of the dialogue is great.

I don't necessarily disagree, but it's hard for me to feel that way considering I was replaying TPHD in the lead up to this. By comparison, the horse controls in this game are a godsend.

Steer it like a car once you get it moving (just using left and right), tap down on the stick to ratchet the speed down when you need to. Literally the easiest horse controls ever.

Anyone know where I can get more
ancient cores
? I need 3 for an upgrade, but only have 2...

Funny enough, I have 3

So I'm not far like, at all in the story (I haven't even reached Kakariko village because I'm too busy farting around), but I already can't help but feel disappointed that Link doesn't have voiced dialogue here.

It seems obvious that they have some sort of canon personality in mind going by the consistency of tone with a lot of the dialogue options. He's so sassy and I love it! I want more of this Sassy Link, and I'm annoyed that I only get Sassy Link when I'm talking to NPC's.

Everytime I mention that I think Link should speak, though, I'm met with "NO WHY NO POINT" or "NO REMEMBER LAST TIME HE TALKED? EXCUUSE ME PRINCESS" and I just don't get it.

I used
stasis on both

And there's definitely no intended way to do most things in this game. It's great.

Thank GOD he doesnt.

No way they would have got it right.

I golfed as well. Felt super smart but was also terrified that I would overdo it.

need help for a side quest tied to a sanctuary, near the beach village....
i need to find pieces of a glowing stone tablet, ...

can't find any of these... don't tell me exactly where to find them, but a little hint would be nice (i searched for the whole beach without finding one)

So since the thread is about to die, what was your first death like in this game?

Mine was on the great plateau.

I was chopping down the tree to make that little bridge by the old mans home.

The tree bonked me on the head and I fell off the cliff to my death.

Does anybody know why 1 diamond = 500 rupees

10 shimmering stones can be traded for 1 diamond

1 shimmering stone = 70 rupees

10 shimmering stones = 700 rupees

Why would you ever trade 10 SS for 1 diamond?

For some reason I was pretty sure 1 luminous ore sells for 30 rupees. Need to check when I get back to the game.

Have you played other games featuring this mechanic (horses)? You say they are not bad, how are they good?

Well yes ofc I have, then again I cheated with this one
dunno maybe Epona controls better?
, it's mostly autopilot anyway, but yeah for me the controls are great, especially in combat.

a Blue Bokoblin on the plateau. Thought Bokoblins were easy enemies like earlier Zelda games. But my weapon and armor were trash and the thing destroyed me.

Can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure mine involved fall damage.

Search for them at night time, they glow a bit.

Definitely falling off a cliff after a climb was too ambitious for me. Pre-paraglider traversal wasn't all that fun for me.

The Steppe Tallus ambushed me and killed me in 1 hit.

My first death was a blue bokoblin in the skull cave on the Plateau. Three hearts and naff weapons, yet I was charging into every scenario. Learned a lesson very quickly that this game was not easy.

That area isn't dangerous / deadly, it's just a puzzle. So don't worry about going there right now.

They're rarer, just a conversion thing. You can buy diamonds from a vendor for
2000 Rupess lol.

I fell off the first tower in the game.

I was looking for ways to get down faster than the steps, missed one of the steps and died.
