Cemu Thread: Emulating Wii U Games

DLC support is nice, hopefully BotW good enough by the time the first DLC releases. Can you use saves from the Wii U with CEMU?

BOTW looks amazing, but I don't know if Botw would look any better running off of my GTX970 and i5 computer than it would on the Wii U once everything gets ironed out.

Fantastic work to all involved with this!

I gotta be honest, after playing this in 4k for an hour on Cemu, despite all the problems with framerate, physics and whatnot....I'm having a lot of trouble going back to the Wii U version. lol

The 1.7.3 release has pushed the Patreon past the $10000 mark.

12 hours later, up to $12,320. Damn, the thirst is real.

Why would you even think that

Breeding Season, a sex game that billed itself as ”Harvest Moon meets Hentai," was one of the biggest projects funded on Patreon: according to tracking website Pledge Society, the title was raking in a whopping $42.3k a month. But as of yesterday, development on Breeding Season has ceased completely.

Mostly because Whenever I used Dolphin to play Wind Waker or Twilight Princess, I was getting major frame drops in areas, but that might have been some other problem. Also, I keep feeling really inferior with my rig whenever I hear about people using GTX 1070's and 1080's with i7 processors.

1.7.3d is out

Why are you guys talking about horse porn. I'm pretty sure those 20k a month porn patreons are literally money laundering schemes.

#37 on this list is Studio FOW who advertise themselves as "creating crazy video game porn".

Do not under any circumstance go to their web page or download their videos. I mean if you do anyways, don't pretend like I didn't warn you. While you are NOT watching a video, remember that these guys are getting $23,000 a month to do this. Now you should rethink your life.

If you just want to read about their crazy video game porn without experiencing it first-hand:

edit:

I just noticed that Team Cemu have now made this list, down at #49 but climbing fast!

You can see exactly where BOTW was released on this graph. Heh.

Is there any way you can get it to load the appropriate graphics pack for the game you've loaded? Or do you have to Load Game > Select Graphics Pack > Restart Cemu every time you change game?

Dolphin actually has a more accurate core, but in turn it reacts slower to certain calls.

Cemu is kinda like Ultra HLE, not as accurate but also much faster.

And it looks like 1.7.3d fixed caches!

Damn it's crazy how fast they're rolling this out. I thought they'd get it playable in months, not weeks.

People want good porn man. Sex sells, I get paid hundreds of thousands to write mine and people gobble it up like candy lol.

That 4k screen looks FRESH -- think I will have to hold on my play through, will occupy myself with Binding of Issac on the Switch when that comes out!

I've seen emu threads getting derailed by people talking about piracy but this might be the first one I've seen derailed by pornography.

Literally got to
Impa
yesterday on the WiiU, came out of her house and just stood there because the framerate is trash. Switched it off after that.

Noticed the new uploads, hopefully I won't have to put up with this WiiU mess for too long.

So is it Ninty's choice of Anti aliasing or lack of, which is making BOTW look a bit weird at 4K?

It seems to have no antialiasing with DoF blurring background elements. It slightly also blurs the edges of foreground elements of anything that edges into the blurred background which does smooth the edges of it, but as far as I can see it doesn't look like the game has any AA, or at least not one that covers all elements looking at the grass of this screenshot I made here.

Link appears very jagged too exhibiting the same traits, but I had to crop him out of this screenshot since it has me wearing some gear people could perceive as spoilers.

I guess when Cemu has some AA options, it'll be only then it'll get sorted.

Are you trudging your way through it at 15 fps then? Or have you imported a Wii U save?

Not 100% sure but it could be some kind of shader rendering its effect at a resolution lower than what is being output. IIRC something similar happened in Dark Souls with the blurred effect on distant lands (although DSFix allowed you to change it).

So it could be that the depth effect or the rim lighting shaders render at 720p regardless of the game itself outputting at 4k.

Again, though, I'm not an expert nor do I even have BOTW, it just looks like a similar situation to what I've seen before.

As for the grass it looks like those are just the sprites themselves that are low resolution.

Hmmmm that's entirely possible, I tried running at 720p and 4K, and whilst there is clear visible differences, it absolutely is not across the board.
