Taskmaster's damage was actually nerfed from Vanilla Marvel 3. He used to have crazy high Doom-like damage scaling on his normals. He can still do damage if he has the meter and assists though. Probably one of the few "honest" characters in the game that is still within the range of playability.
Completely agree. He's one of my favorite characters and was on my very first team at launch of vanilla. Hope he gets another shot in mvci.

I dunno why anyone is complaining about Marvel 3. The game is the best fighting game Capcom has made in the past 15 years. Why would you want to mess with it?
No one is complaining, just being amused by these new mods that are popping up.
But that modded Iron Man tho...
Dual Kevin's Deadpool/Dante/Hawkeye is the most honest high performing team in the game right now. The most dishonest thing about it is having a top tier assist like Jam Session in it, other than that it's a very straight forward zoning based team with a little bit of rushdown thrown in. All of its character don't have extreme damage, mix ups or oppressive neutral/mobility.
I guess you could make the claim that Deadpool's teleport is kinda crazy along with Hawkeye's Gimlet but eh... that's so mild compared to the rest of the game and these are still well within the realm of risk vs reward.

Marvel 3 is my favorite game. I'm sad infinite was announced since its release will bring a pretty definitive end (unfortunately) to umvc3's competitive life.rip assists and synergy

Ryu and Ammy sure but vanilla Wesker....ehhhh. Kinda hard to Call him honest by vanilla standards given he was one of the few cast with an otg. That alone put that Pixie into a separate tier than most of the cast. Plus he was a solid meter farmer. Aaaaaaalmost honest except it's vanilla marvels environment of haves and have nots. Just my opinion of him in vanilla.
He was clearly operating with advantages most didn't get to utilize.

Wesker is a below average meter gainer actually, we just didn't know much about the game at the time.
Vanilla Wesker was actually better than UMVC3 Wesker, mostly because of his gun shot's float point which allowed him to get a full combo from a screen away with a gun snipe. Yeah that was cheap as hell and needed to be changed. They also changed his hyper counter move to not have invincibility and had heavier scaling making it a pretty lousy move now.
He got the buffed super Phantom Dance which is pretty damn good in all honesty and makes up for the nerfs but the utility from the gun shot and the threat of the reversal super made him pretty good.
Wesker was probably high tier in Vanilla Marvel 3 but he was slowly dropping in the tiers too with characters like Zero rising up.

Vanilla MvC3 had TAC infinites that weren't discovered until Ultimate, and Dante could build 5 bars in a single combo.

It's getting a retail release in Japan so usual import sites should have it.
I would keep an eye out for resellers on ebay if you want the NA version. Or maybe use a forwarding service if Gamestop.com does not sell internationally.

Just realized that after this outage where I work 70 days, I'll pull in over triple what I normally would in that time period due to the mandatory over time...enough to clear out some major school debt in one shot straight to principle. At this rate I may be able to move into some state that has major gaming scenes in more than just the places I had originally considered. I may actually be able to move BACK to California as a home owner in a few years if I do that meaning I can join up with either NorCal or SoCal scenes. Possibly back in my old field of work too.
I may be able to find freedom yet. Even if I dont go Cali again, I'll DEFINITELY be able to afford to be a homeowner anywhere in or out of the country soon at this rate meaning I can leave this place and go be me again. Would feel sooooooo good to live somewhere near brookfield or Chicago IL, Atlanta, Cali or select other fighting gametopias. I could potentially work as a professor in industrial technology or teacher in art in these states too after my debts paid as I can qualify to teach easily in either field now with my level of education/experience. Without the debt I could afford the pay cut easily. Especially starting in as a homeowner.
Brookfield is a top prospect for me. Close to Galloping Ghost Arcade, and Chicago which is NRS and Iron Galaxy. Plus the area has not only a scene for TVC, MK, and Injustice but also for a shitload of poverty fighting games too. Gonna scout this shit hard. Here's hoping I make it through the WV industrial grind till then.
If all I get to do is work then by God I'll work towards something worthwhile like a future somewhere that lets me be a gamer with a scene to enjoy.

EDIT: Can't sleep. Started watching. My GOD the Rico Suave vs Nicky! Gargos vs Fulgore...just insane back and forth. Ending is amazing. Gargos minions everywhere, and just mad combo runbacks from Fulgore and full on Rocky Movie style trading shots with Gargos infinite armor instinct but his no block ability vs Fulgore throwing heavy shots through it all. Just fucking NUTS!

Major deal there. The game is super fucking good. Roster is great in both quality and size now. Online is so good that you can literally go from online warrior to tourney champ (as we've seen) from it. The in game dojo and information to teach you the ins and outs of every character is super detailed and very easy to find what you want the second you want it from the move list the moment you first play someone (right down to descriptions of armor and situational usage!). Bitchin soundtrack. Easy to pick up and get moving as its based on reads more than execution...very very low execution with all those mashable combos.
Game deserves all the love it can get. Soooooo good.
I've been playing a lot of Rash, Aria and Eyedol. Really feeling these dudes. I can rush shit down for days with them but the latter two also let me go nuts with zoning.
