That's my DPOY.

This thread completely died as Steph started making shots and Draymond started defending the entire philly team.

There was nothing to fuel the hate.

but Barnes had that Shaqtin moment at the end. could have put them in a OT situation when he bricked that dunk, when all he really had to do was dribble it out.

I like Mitch, I really do but that last quote in the article about how you can't judge mozgov or deng halfway through the season and that it's gonna take 5 or 6 years to really determine if it was good signings or not...

Jeez us, that was the biggest bunch of bullshit I've ever heard come from Mitch. goddamn you can tell at the end of December that it just wasn't going to gel with Mozgov and Deng. Although Mozgov did have a good first month when the season started, it was all downhill from there. Deng just never showed up. In the words of a frustrated lex Luger "I'm pissed now!" Cmon Mitch your better than that.

Would be funny if Lakers don't even get to keep their pick.

That would be some sweet justice for that season where Metta World Peace elbowed James Harden in the head and caused him to be concussed as fuck and sucking throughout those playoffs, in which the Thunder lost in the Finals. I still think that was key in that series.

The worst thing you can do to a GM is put him on the hot seat. You are guaranteed he will be forced to sign horrid free agent deals in the hopes of placating ownership.

Honestly, I'd say this was blatant tanking, but Deng and Mozgov both sucked.

because of that one accident, you want us to be cursed for all time? enough of the 20 win seasons from LA, how could you wish this upon anyone. This team is worse than any sixers team of the last decade.

Deng is toast. If anything playing him would ensure the tank stays on course. I think this is a matter of recognizing that those signings were terrible (worse than i even imagined, for sure) and any minute that Deng or Mozgov plays is a minute that could have gone to Ingram or Nance or 2bac or Tarik Black and thus, a waste.

I don't really care about the Harden incident, but I also want the Lakers to be cursed until they move back to Minnesota.

That may seem harsh at first, but without Metta's elbow the Thunder possibly win those Finals and the dumbass Harden trade doesn't even happen. Metta flat out doomed that franchise. An eye for an eye seems fair.

Harden trade happened because OKC was cheap. Why have 3 of the top 6 players in the same team. They deserve what they got. Choose Ibaka over Harden lol

Playing terrible throughout the finals... except for when he toasted the Spurs

Yeah and it makes people criticizing Durant for leaving even more baffling. That team could have been an all-timer.

It will forever be a dumb trade, absolutely.

But at the same time, you have to wonder how Westbrook and Harden would have co-existed after transforming to their final forms. They're 1 and 4 in usage rate this season. I wonder if Harden would have become more of a rich man's Manu (no disrespect to Manu) rather than whatever the heck he is at the moment.

It's sorta the same thing with the Durant/Warriors thing. You never not do that deal. But at the same time, what happens if they just roll back that team looking for redemption? Although maybe they knew more than everyone else that Steph wasn't going to be the same after injuries.

So I did a simulation on 2K and MIA snuck in the playoffs as the 8th seed and beat the Cavs 4-3.

And then I played against them and they had Chris Bosh on the team lol.

Maybe it came like in waves. He was fine against the Spurs but then he had some time off to prepare and he remembered Metta and got shell shocked.

Isn't that a similar concern to what people had with Wade and Lebron playing together? Maybe Harden becomes a glorified Manu, but maybe he becomes Wade. Even if the former comes true, it's unjustifiable to give away that much talent for that little return.

I see people argue this often, but I don't think people mind him leaving as much as him leaving for the team he choked against, especially after his attitude towards bron to Miami.

Bleh jaylen continues to struggle with his handle. I'm not too worried about that as it seems his primary focus has been on his shooting, but it's keeping his offensive potential in check at the moment.

I can see that, but maybe he never got over the frustration of being in an "almost" team. Almost champions, almost great. Then he looked at the roster of this team that could sign him and though to himself "man imagine how good this team could be with me instead of Harrison fucking Barnes".

It doesn't excuse him from his attitude towards Lebron, but he was pretty young so maybe he came around and regret it and shit.

When did Minnesota get decent?
They've been good/competitive all year, but early on they had big second half leads on almost every game that they blew and defense under Thibs was a huge WIP. Post all star break they are playing like the best D in the league. Rubio learned how to shoot. KAT is a monster

Also, are the refs all related to brad Stevens? Or have money on the line for the celtics? Ffs
