NBA 2016-2017 Season |OT| What do the Liberty Bell and Ben Simmons have in Common?

Incredibly Naive
I have a feeling that if the next two games weren't against the two worst teams in the league IT would probably be playing. This just seems like an easy way to get him some extra rest.

I don't understand why his minutes have been managed really well.

Lmao 😭

Curry came back, but he's moving a little gingerly.

Don't matter, Klay + 4 toasters = shampionship

They've been good/competitive all year, but early on they had big second half leads on almost every game that they blew and defense under Thibs was a huge WIP. Post all star break they are playing like the best D in the league. Rubio learned how to shoot. KAT is a monster

Also, are the refs all related to brad Stevens? Or have money on the line for the celtics? Ffs

It took Rubio until now into his career to hit jumpers SMH

I think this might be what freaks me out the most. The Timberwolves were essentially a young team thrown into the deep end of the pool with Thibs' defensive schemes. They were struggling, but once they finally got it, they would get it.

But Rubio was always a fantastic fit for their big 3, both youngish, but a veteran, could distribute the ball for them, etc. If you ever watched Timberwolves' games, he was the only one who understood and was trying to get the other players playing defense properly.

I mean Rubio is a REALLY good PG if he can actually shoot now.

That's always been the caveat though, elite passing, great Defense, suspect ass shooting. But, but, if he got shooting, he would by a top 13 PG. Let KAT learn how to play D better, let Wiggins learn how to use his(22!) Year old body to defend. My Wolves got a young ass team. I want 40 wins next year and I think we can do it. Dunn has been a disappointment for the most ready rookie in the lottery, but he's 24/25 and maybe he'll get it in 2 years.

It was scoring in general for Rubio. He was even terrible at scoring in the paint and at the rim somehow. Maybe he was gun shy, like Rondo in his prime who sacrificed offense because he was deathly afraid of being fouled and having to shoot FTs. If Rubio can at least make himself a reasonable scoring threat so opposing defenses cant just play 5 on 4 that makes him a hugely valuable piece. Want to see him do for a larger sample size though.

He always goes through spurts where his shot falls, where his layups go in, happens every season for the past few years. I think he gets it though. He takes his shots if he gets them, saves forcing shots for the young bucks.

Yeah it's rare for these guys to turn it around when it comes to consistent scoring, I had to endure it for years with rondo and am somewhat going through it now with smart (with smart I think it's more a matter of shot selection).

If there was a way to leverage the 2018 pick for Butler, I think I would've done it.

Celtics won't have a top 3 pick next year, and probably got lucky this year tbh
