They really should just port Disgaea 5. People might like the entire collection, but the newest entry will always attract fans that maybe aren't among the big franchise/genre fans that want something with less of a barrier to entry. Especially with the Switch port coming. Just release 5 and then do back ports.

I'm usually not into the settings of most MMOs. Have played reskins of Korean MMOs in the past like Legend of Mir, Myth of Soma but lost interest in the early 2000s.
I think Forza would do it, Burnout Paradise has in the past but for compatibility reasons I'm on the old build of Windows 10. They didn't support 1511 yet. Maybe an EDF game would be dumb fun.

Nah, I don't see it doing more than 150k in the opening week.
Which is already absolutely fantastic and more money than S-E ever made with any Japanese game on Steam at launch as far as I can tell. Yes, that's right, they made more with Nier of all things than, say, any FF game. A testament to either the great taste of the Steam community, or just maybe that it might be good idea not to wait for a year or more to port something.
FF15 day and date with ps4 would have destroyed Nier lets not kid ourselves.

This will probably be the last Mass Effect we ever get.
I definitely think later ports from a bigger studio definitely is not the way to go. Since at that point you basically have to offer a reduced price, or an inclusion of DLC from the console release to get good sales most of the time.
If nioh happens, i'm curious how it'll do on PC. I don't see gamers flocking to a year old port (That could be questionable due to KTs track record) and at full price with full priced DLC.

I really do hope this shows the guys at Square Enix that waiting a year for double dippers is a shitty strategy, and that they improve it with future releases.

lately EA games have been going on sale quick. I definitely see it being $30 by summer if not cheaper from other places that sell keys out of physical boxes.
It's partly why i felt no need to buy it now.

Has anyone ever tried to get a refund from CDKeys.com? I know it said Mass Effect key would released on or before March 23rd but it comes out the 21st in most of the world (I am in Canada) so I assumed I would have a key by then. I mean its only 2 or 3 days after release but still annoying and the savings aren't that great.

Well there's at least hope with Kingdom Hearts. I believe all of the new HD versions have digital releases. So hopefully we're in store for late ports like we saw with FFX and probably will see with FF12. Since it definitely isn't Disney's doing, they've been pretty good about games on steam recently.

IIRC NieR actually sold a decent amount of units. A good 500k-1m at least. The problem was that nobody bought it full price, it only really became known after people started picking up copies in £5 clearance sales.

500K to 1 million seems pretty high. Especially since I don't think the game is available digitally outside of PSnow. Awhile back I recall most people having to buy it second-hand. I know I had to when I did. Though what you're saying doesn't seem too far-fetched.
Does seem like Nier Automata if it keeps the pace should easily double whatever the original did.
Makes me really curious how a remaster of the original would do.
Also Drakengard 3 while we're at it, since it runs like complete shit on PS3. Just plop on the advertising that it has ties to nier should help.

Going by one random ass quote phil said that I can't find. It sounded like ages ago MS and Square made a deal to get FFXV. Probably back when the numbers of the series didn't look too bad at least for 13 which did well. The spin offs failed completely though on xbox.
