TAJ

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
Do what I did - search your Amazon order history for "3D" because it's possible that one of your existing blu rays includes the 3D version.

I happened to already own Dredd which is a 3-in-1 set (BR/DVD/3D).

Even if they don't have any 3D stuff already I've seen Dredd for $4-5 several times. The cheapest good 3D I've bought was James Cameron's Deepsea Challenge for $1.50 at Fry's about a year ago.

So My headset has a little black mark, looks like a j the size of an ant in the left eye.sony sent me a box but I no longer have the receipt. How hosed am I?

Won't be a problem. I just verified this myself with customer support before sending my unit in for a lens that got scratched by a pair of glasses. An email I received and the note in the box said to provide proof of purchase. I called and was told just to ignore that because all PSVR are within 1 year warranty period at the moment.

Good god, positively PS2 era graphics. Some of those models and textures, woof!

So newer build doesnt look as bad, but still looks meh.

6.99 USD.. Will wait on impressions.

It's too bad it looks like a cheap cash-in, but as stated I'll wait for impressions. If it's generally fun and cheap, I'd probably bite. I think Ghostbusters deserves the full treatment, the license obviously lends itself well to a proper FPS ghost-catching sim if done right.

Here they lie again in the US? Damn, already been discounted twice there but not once in Europe. Maybe tomorrow, there probably is a new sale upcoming.

No, I currently don't want to get more US store credit, I know I could if I wanted to.

Anyone have any Here They Lie impressions after the Pro update? The game looked interesting, but the IQ was horrendous on the demo disc.

Yeah you're not kidding on that. That's the only game I've played so far that actually made me queasy, not just the graphics but the camera 'reorienting' itself unexpectedly. I've read on a few online forums that the Pro update does improve things, hopefully someonehere with direct experience can confirm.

Just played through the Ghostbusters VR experience. It's short but more appears to be coming soon as it says at the end. It took about 15 minutes but a lot of that was me looking around the Firehouse. You have your typical teleportation control, plus Resident Evil style turning with button presses. You basically start outside, are told by Patton Oswalt (as the ghost from the logo) to go inside but first you see Slimer at a hotdog cart and get slimed. Then you enter and are supposed to feed a donut to Slimer. Now it's time to build the proton pack out of 3 parts and use it and the trap to catch Slimer. The proton gun mechanics are ok. You can use 2 move wands to to point and shoot the stream. Once you catch him you need to go to the basement and put him in the containment unit. Then the lights go out, you're back upstairs and Mayhem from the 2016 movie gets out of a trap and heads out of the firehouse. You get teleported to the car and it ends with a coming soon.

You can go in the car and mess with the horn, lights, and siren but I could only get it to work once. I don't know if it's designed that way or if it glitched. I'm a huge Ghostbusters fan so the $7 was worth it to me. I hope they do update it to include more or even charge $20-30 for a bigger game.

Did it looks like that terrible video above?

Super psyched for Ghostbusters!!! Even though it looks like it may be janky...

You are in the freaking firehouse!!!! Can't wait!

To anyone here who's played non VR games in the HMD, is text legible? Or are we talking sub 540p resolution?

I haven't had any issues with text so far... But something with text like BK Nuts and Bolts might be an issue lol.

Awesome. Was thinking about getting this or an Oculus as a monitor replacement. I don't mind the resolution drop provided I can still read text.

The only issue i have had with using the headset as a monitor is that on the smallest size (you can choose from three sizes) it keeps the screen in the center of your vision when you move your head which for some reason I HATE and could not figure out a way to shut it off.

As much as I love my PSVR, I do love me a bit of hacking around.

So, got it plugged into the PC via Trinus. Have a GTX 980, so have had to use moonlight to control the pc remotely via a laptop. Dug out the old razer hydras that I got when doing some early dev with Oculus DK1, they work a treat. Just need to plug in a webcam for head tracking, then I got myself a ghetto Vive as well! Alright, no room scale but I'm not that bothered about that atm.

Neat :)

I'd probably want something around the medium size, possibly large lol.

It's been cleaned up a bit, but it's still not super sharp. I'm going off memory, since I played it to completion back at launch, but it was much, much blurrier last year. With the Pro patch, things seem improved, but it's still not as sharp as something like Bound.

I already own both. What I really want is a sale on Fruit Ninja. :(

Well I just got my PSVR 3 weeks ago, and I don't own a single game for it yet lol. I've been replaying the demo, playroom, and enjoying 3D blurays in the interim. So I'm hoping for a VR PSN sale shortly. On my list:

Batman Arkham
Until Dawn ROB
RIGS
Battlezone
Walking dead Pinball( yeah it's $5.99, but I'm cheap lol)

I have $50 credit on my PSN that I'm trying to stretch as far as I can : ) I'll pick up RE7 when I can get it for $30, that's typically all I spend on games for the most part.

Bought and bought! Thank you for the heads up

Enjoy :)

So far I've only bought Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes and Job Simulator. Both totally awesome experiences and my non gamer wife had a blast with both. So I can wholeheartedly recommend them (KTANE is coop only I believe).

Want to buy Battlezone though but it's oh so expensive still.

Battlezone is neat, but it's really difficult. I haven't been able to finish a Campaign on Easy once in several tries. I hear that the online multiplayer is solid, but I've only joined up with some players once. It didn't end so well. I don't think any of us had a good idea what we were doing.

Thanks I was considering job simulator as well. What about Surgeon simulator, have you played that?

Didn't BZ just get a patch that lowers the difficulty?

And it added an even harder one, from what I understand. I haven't been able to check it out, yet.

I really wanted a harder difficulty back when I was really into it because we were finishing Hard runs pretty easily after a while.

Bound and Here they lie on PSN sale this week for $10.99 each.

Looks like they're on sale in the UK too.

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gb/playstation-vr/cid=STORE-MSF75508-PLAYSTATIONVR/1

Bound was £15.99 now £6.39 (ps+)
Here they lie was £15.99 now £9.99

Couple of others as well:

Rigs is now £24.99 from £49.99
PlayStation VR Worlds now £19.99 from £29.99
Driveclub VR now £19.99 from £29.99
Hustle kings now £9.99 from £15.99

There may be more but I'm logged in so can't see any discounts for things I've already bought. Still nice to see PSVR get some love in the sales.

Edit: rush of blood down to £9.99 & tumble VR to £5.79

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch
FATED: The Silent Oath is coming on PSVR 28th March

Its a rather short narrative-driven adventure game that last roughly an hour to one and half hour, so don't expect much

EU also has a new sale going on, including some VR games. Here They Lie and Driveclub VR upgrade €13 each, mine. There are more, but sadly psprices.com does seem to have a problem with the shop crawler and doesn't yet show it.

That's a good sale. There's supposed to be a NA flash sale this weekend, so hopefully we'll get a few more VR games there. I'm itching to pull the trigger on Batman and ROB, but I feel like they're about to be discounted soon on the NA store.

Definitely pick up Until Dawn: Rush of Blood for €13, it still is one of the best PSVR games.

Agreed.

Definitely picking up Bound as I was gonna buy it full price next week anyway.

I'm on the fence with Here They Lie. I like the premise and I'm a big fan of horror games but the demo made me a little bit queasy. I know the full version has since had a few patches to fix AA and make it a bit higher rez. Would anyone recommend it or should I avoid like the plague?

The improvements on Here They Lie have been reported as substancial, but I think many have completely written if off, so it's not getting much attention even after the refresh. I bought it, but I don't know exactly when I find time to play. Damn you, Aloy! XD

The good thing is, they also patched in regular TV play mode, so if you can't stomach it in VR, you can at least still play the game.

Thanks. I may pick it up at the weekend as I have a few £££ in my wallet after cancelling my Andromeda pre-order.

I also played Horizon and it was fantastic, so too is NieR Automata.

The key to Battlezone is weapons and tactics.

I'd recommend a medium sized map to get more data. You need better weapons.

The initial aim isn't to win its to unlock better weapons, so always try to hack weapon factories when you find them

Don't upgrade armour until you have the weapons you need.

Best weapons are single lock-on, multi-lockon, laser guided missiles: honourable mentions for mavchine guns, mag auto gun (Hacker Tank) and Split Shell cannon.

Every campaign should unlock more weapons and you should be learning tactics.

Nemesis tanks, find an object that you can circle and circle dodge firing after he's discharged.

Try the Light Tank if you haven't already, you can successgfully circle strafe enemies.

If you lose a life close the application and start again (if you don't mind the cheat)

And BZ is awesome and deep, still play it now.
