Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links |OT| A Speedy Beatdown

I wouldn't use Card Trader, to be honest.

I like to think about a top-decking situation as the worst case for choosing cards for my deck and I don't think Card Trader is a good one in that case.
My "theory-oh" is really rusty but if I'm losing, I don't want to draw a card that needs other cards to work (and that I have to wait until my next Standby Phase to begin to use, at the risk of losing my card because the opponent destroys it or drawing the exact same card I returned), and in the other hand, if I have the luxury of trading a card of my hand to see what can I get, I'm already in either a comfortable or winning position.

I'd rather use Jar of Greed to thin the deck or Common Charity if you can run it, besides both being "cheaper".

---

So, I pulled a Pumprincess and it's awesome. I didn't know the ATK reduction was per player's Standby Phase instead of just my Standby Phase, so it's a costless, but slower Wonder Balloons. I'd use Balloons only if I needed a discard outlet.

Yesh! Thanks to the double keys event I got enough keys to farm for my last couple of Gravekeeper Recruiters. Finally got my last 2 to drop yesterday and got all the cards needed for my Gravekeeper deck. 😁

So, Yugi's appearing in the Duel World again and Bakura's coming next week.
I'm excited about Dark Necrofear and other things Bakura may bring, but the most interesting seem to be his abilities, as they seem to revolve around milling and self-milling.

Lately, I've had great luck with the newest pack. From about 15 packs I got five supers (Including two Wild Tornadoes!) and two Ultras, but I cannot seem to be able to pull a third Whiptail Crow.

Trying to Cerberus grind Yugi is pretty exciting since it's a race between cerberus.

Put this card in ur deck to fck him up. :d

I wouldn't say he tops White Horn considering it often has a chance to match or even be higher than 2500 atk.

Thats conditional on opponent spell cards and you need a minimum of 2 to go beyond Skull. Less chance of triggering things like Divine Wrath too. Not to say its bad but I'd still put Summoned Skull over it personally.

Speaking of him, 20 packs and nothing. Got the crappy ritual version of Black Magician of Chaos. I hope they do the effect version even if its forbidden.

God am I hooked on this. Been playing it for like an hour each morning and night.

Fuck I really wish I didn't sell my cards when I was a youngster.

YOOOOOOOO my main monster Summoned Skull is here! The ultimate 1 tribute beatstick.

Pulled him with the free 500 gems we were gifted! Love this card, brought me right back to my childhood.

Also how does everyone think about having 3 Riryokus in a deck? I'm at 2 and the card trader is holding one and I can buy...

Meh 3 Riryoku's are too many. Even 2 in a deck are tough to use, with all those Kuribohs and Enemy Controllers around.

Didn't get anything with my free 500 gems. There are several interesting cards in the new set, but I'm glad it is a mini box as most useful cards are Super and Ultra.

I think I'm interested the most in Big Bang Shot, Summoned Skull and Skilled Red Magician, although there are not many cards available for the latter.

BES Big Core is still the best one tribute for me.

Managed to get 3 SRs from the new pack, not sure that I'll use any of them though

Sonic Duck and Birdface are going to be quintessential for any HHG deck. My Duck + Jerry combo is putting Ladybug out of business.

I've not once encountered enemy controller because I straight flush anyone who has them.

BTW how are people getting two dark witches from valkyrie rage? I thought there was only one ur card per pack?

If you reset the pack, you have a [low] chance to get it again.

Issue is even if I reset the pack it's pointless. Once you reach stage thirty there's no real quick way to get a lot of gems outside giveaways like the one today were they gave out 500.

If I'm beating Isuzu, Yu-gi, and onion at 40 5 times I should have 500 gems dropped for each at least. Got pretty far without spending real money though.

Also am I the only one who think conscription and bigwave smallwave should have a cost to use because holy shot, when you reach platinum ranking everyone's mako.

Mako is the worst followed by Rex. Bandit Keith is more finicky due to luck factor. Mai can be hella annoying too but thats rare.

No Summoned Skull still but I did get Atmosphere so yay? lol Not a fan of winged beast deck even if they are good.

Trap holes seem to work with get. But in platinum all the makes have mirror wall and big wave small wave. I have to get lucky and have an angel 07 on the field or draw divine wrath. Trap hole works as well but trap hole doesn't stop the levi-dragon effect of killing all things on the field.

Sorcery Conduit feels useless 90% of the time against Yugi. He either swings first with 1500 atk silent magician with KO hit on next turn or swings KO immediately.

U can quit the app to restart the battle if u got an unfavorable start. Also, I prefer using Draw Sense: Light, since u only need to take 1500 damage to draw Cerberus, instead of the 1800 with Sorcery Conduit.

OMG I needed to know this way before lol.

Conscription has a drawback, as you have a chance to give something to your opponent for free.

I do agree about Big Wave Small Wave, considering the card pool we have. Monster removal is rare and "boss" monsters are mostly balanced by their Summoning costs. But Daedalus is a 2600 beater that can (and will) nuke the field in its deck and its cost is negligible.

I'd say BWSW is worse because of Suijin. Daedalus is easy to beat with 1600 defense, but Suijin forces you to tank at least 2.4k unless you have Order to Charge.

That's true, but Suijin is more of a wall as you cannot attack but you keep your monsters and cards, especially if your have Mirror Wall or a stronger monster. Daedalus can certainly be easily beaten if switched to defense, but most of the time, it will come with a nuke that will kill any setup you had on the field.

I cannot seem to pull Simorgh. I've gotten both ultras, three supers and I've gotten half the box, and not a single Simorgh.
At least I got my second Toy Magician and I'm at Mission 49, pretty easy and fast (other than 320000 damage) so that's 320 gems to try again. Since I'm also missing Big Bang Shot and Summoned Skull, I'm going to get more packs from that. Other than Return from the Dark Dimension, I don't really want anything else from other packs.

This event in a nutshell:

Bakura: "You will find that I'm quite evil."

Me: "And why is that?"

Bakura: "I run 3 Sphere Kuriboh and 3 Enemy Controller."

Me: "You monster!"

4k damage in 5 turns. Easy enough till you hit level 40 then its like wtf. Cause Bakura gets to summon Dark Necrofear after you kill 3 of his monsters.

Ill have to switch to my dragon deck since Yugi deck gives him an advantage with Yami.

Bakura: "And Ectoplasmer with Soul Exchange! Muahahahaha!"

I haven't played much against him, but according to the event description, the turn countdown should stop going down when Dark Necrofear is not in the Graveyard anymore, so I'm thinking about using Gravedigger's Ghoul to banish it (and potential materials for its summon in case he has it in his Deck too) and Balance to try to get it first turn.

Just to confirm, banishing Dark Necrofear does indeed stop his ability, so you just have to worry about Ectoplasmer.

What cards are good for banishing? I seem to have amazing luck in getting hands with spells and traps and no monsters lol.

Edit: Also Bakura has Man Eater Bug, as if it wasn't a pain trying to get through his wall of monsters already.

The only one I've got is Gravedigger's Ghoul. I think it's ideal because it requires no setup and is a one card solution to the countdown.
I unlocked Bakura, it was faster than Pegasus for sure. Most of his level ups are the rewards from the event and nothing too good (other than some interesting skills), but Dark Necrofear is great nevertheless.

Bakura won't use Econ or SK to stop Gravekeeper Vassal since it counts as effect damage, so Vassal + Union Attack + Secret Passage is a good combo right now.

Saved 3k gems again. Got everything I wanted from the latest packs to keep my Harpie deck up to date,so gonna try to save up till 10k this time. 😁

Bakura's rewards are kinda mediocre, but unlocking a new character is cool. Can't wait for Marik.

It stems from the fact that Bakura never really had that good of cards in the first place. At least Dark Necrofear is good.As much as I like Gandora it's more of an aesthetic card.
