What a stupid nerf.

The nerf was to prevent Monster Nest abuse with Nekkers. Nekkers were breedable before they were reworked and probably shouldn't have kept that trait afterwards.

Other breedable cards are the Golem, Fire Elemental, and Earth Elemental spawns. The Woodland Spirit and Caranthir spawns may be breedable as well. Ge'els is getting reworked anyways so it's going to be a while before we see what the state of Monster Breeding is going to be.

I haven't been playing much recently, but the "position" changes seem like a good way to limit (at least partially) the buff everything strategy that was prevalent, which made having cards like Dimeritum Bomb a necessity, not a choice. I'm curious to hear some comments about this from more experience players than myself.

Not sure how I feel about placing cards for benefits. It feels much more complicated and I liked Gwent for it's simplicity.

Of all the games they played on stream, it barely seemed to matter much honestly. It basically came down to not being able to buff everything. It's not as big as I thought it would be.

They need to introduce new cards to take advantage of the positioning change. Mechanically it's fine, but the current crop of cards adapted to it lack some imagination.

Man I've been super busy recently and can't afford to spend too much time on Gwent in the near future, but I'll probably register and see if I can somehow get back to top 256. Strictly speaking you don't even have to be top 256, since there are 2 divisions, somewhere like top 400 or so should be relatively safe assuming somewhat even player counts across the divisions.

Help, I decided to try and sneak an hour to grind the ladder and I'm finding no opponents. Game is also increasingly good at giving me a heart attack when I press "Stop finding opponents" at 25s on the timer and it doesn't work for a good 10s.

Welp I fucked up. I was comfy in low 400 on leaderboard. But I dropped to 520 by not playing. Wanted to win 1 game last night to be high enough for the tournament. Dropped out of top 1000 after that.

Climbed back to 600 or something after 3 hours, but doubt I can make it to 400 range tonight, still a chance but don't have high hopes. Cutoff is tomorrow so.

Woodland Spirit was way overpowered at 16 strength + fog. It's even bigger strength-wise now even with the one-sided weather. What really kills Weather decks is the massive buff to Clear Skies. Only Skellige is going to run much weather now since Coral is still overpowered by having the only other one-sided weather in the game.

The problem with weather was always that there were way more ways to create it than there were to remove it. CDPR painted themselves in a corner with all the silver weather cards. I don't think it was possible to fix weather without changing that dynamic.

Weather is a bad mechanic as it exists in this Gwent. In the original there were no weather immune units so you'd play weather as a gambit, perhaps screwing over yourself but hopefully screwing over they opponent more. Its the hardest control option by far.

For the tournament you need 4 decks. Amazing. I have an almost full collection and non top 1000 players with no cards get in because they picked NA timeslot.

I have noticed that there are a lack of high ranking players to watch on twitch during late night NA hours, but plenty to watch during normal work hours i.e. late night EU hours. Sorian you should start streaming and capture the audience

I've like 20 kegs saved up because I was hoping they'd fix the drop rate with the patch. Has that not happened? I've literally gotten 0 premiums since that initial rush when Nilfgaard first dropped.

I am honestly in love with this game at 60 hours, and I find it immensely more enjoyable than Hearthstone. Love that they also seem to be reducing RNG with the cards and I hope they can only add to the feeling of strategy

Presentation wise, it's getting better. Board looks clean, info is readily available, we just need things like map art.

This game kicks so much ass IMO.

I wonder what else theyll add for new features.
