She's gotten some work done to her body in the last few years for what appears to be specifically used for marketing. The song isn't good, and she does that same ass shot as Nicki Minaj but it's not as impressive because of what she's wearing.

Yeah, agree. French Rap is way better than UK Rap and the best right after US Rap. That's pretty much the general consensus if you ask international Rap fans and critics too.

Regionality of rap is more about production I feel anyways. There's definitely flows, cadences, and lingo too, but a lot of that follows off of the sound. Not exclusively production of course, but I think of production styles first.

EDIT:

Ransom 2 giving me a lot of similar feelings I got from the first Ransom. Just vibe after vibe, each hitting you with full force, but at the same time I'm having difficulty picking out favourites or saying anything is necessarily great on here. Just a solid package of decent songs. Same thing happened with Ransom (save for maybe Drinks On Us and Possible), but over time the standouts become more apparent. Right now Gucci On My (YG verse almost ruins it), Razzle Dazzle, Aries (YuGo), Emotions Unlocked, Faith, Come Down and Nothing is Promised are all in rotation, but who knows what will stand the test of time. I appreciate this.

that shit is trash too

For good reason imo. Most of it is garbage tier. UK rap in particular seems like a staler, snobbier version of NY rap. Most these guys can't ride a beat to save their lives.
Hard to tell if taking the piss or not (don't follow everyone's posting habits nor can you hear tone on a forum), but if serious then all I got to say is open your minds, embrace the love. We need a communal GAF-Hop mushroom trip or something.

TBH i'm talking more about UK Grime than UK rap, which I doubt many hear have really heard much or dived deep into really comment on. Grime has quite clear differences from rap, comes from a sound system culture, and the flows and production are quite different. Anyway, I digress. French Hip hop and dutch hip hop are both dope as well. Tryna get the playlist of dutch tunes my mate had, and will post here when I get it.

Kinda hard to listen to a lyrics dependent genre in a language you don't understand.
Also Skepta and Wiley's albums this years were awesome, tf???

Skepta has some bangers, but Grime is terrible imo. The beats are pretty basic and so are the lyrics.

And this is coming from a British man.

Not a big Grime fan but that Wiley album he put out earlier this year was really good. It's a bit bloated but almost every track hits hard.

New Raekwon album is fiyah too. So far I enjoyed the rick ross album, troy ave and raekwon albums. joey and kendrick next month. too much dam music, still have a backlog.

Nah, Mues and Rap Critic are annoying as fuck. I only like it when Rap Critic is reviewing what he likes, honestly. He does a good job articulating what he likes, but when he doesn't like something, he's so off the mark it makes me cringe.

On a positive note, I just watched 10 Nardwuar interviews. I like this guy.

Sonic Youth are dicks.

this new Tuxedo lifting my spirits rn

Then the sparks they flew
Nothing we could do
But the aftershock was much too strong
If we start as friends build it up again
Maybe we can make through
Longer lasting brand new

Faded I cut off my loose ends
Allow it to follow the heart
Promise that I’ll make you a part
Left side of my chest went dark
Take another sip, watch the room spin
Emotions are all under lock
All of my emotion unlocked
All of my emotions unlocked

This is a beautiful song brehs

especially with the back to back with Aries coming right before this
