Yeah. 2000+ hours and 5 guys I'd go to war for. Plus countless other amigos. Definitely got some worth out the $120

Yeah, this. Before destiny i was pretty much a lone gamer. Made some good friends thanks to destiny. We've been looking for other good coop games. But there's nothing like destiny.

I bought the full game with all DLC twice, I think I'm at $200+ for it.

Would do it again in a heartbeat, I'm in there day 0 in Destiny 2.

Fair enough. I see a lot of people that enjoy the game and that's completely fine. It seems to have a ton of content when you're playing with good people.

I just could never get in to this game, unfortunately.

You could say (and I bought way more than this):

Vanilla Destiny $60.00
Dark Below and House of Wolves Expansion $40.00 (believe it was 30 if you preordered).
The Taken King $40.00
Rise of Iron $30.00
2 Large Spring Content drops $0.00
Live Events $0.00

So one could vest 160-170 for 3 years of entertainment (and this isn't directed at people who just played the story, you missed the whole damn point of Destiny if you did just that).

Being part of the hardcore, I bought digital versions, limited editions, the PS4 taken king bundle, and too much merchandise that I won't go that deep but it was worth every penny. Game of the generation for me, met countless friends, attend a couple of LAN 4-day weekends with clanmates and memories that exceed anything I've done while gaming. If it was just myself playing the story missions? Yup, I'd be part of the trolls.

About $80,000 for about 3 hours of content, and with no raid matchmaking. No thanks, Bungie.

Raids won't ever have Matchmaking, they've explained that, it won't happen, stop asking.

If you mean tools to find other players and make easy to set up a group to play those activities, you're right, the game needs that cause it's social aspect overall sucks.

I'm not sure that even qualifies as a bar distinct from the ground. The first game launched with literally no story. I've never seen anything like it. The game ended and I was completely unsure whether it was over/why/what had happened.

I agree. So does Bungie. The Taken King had a much better story than vanilla Destiny. Fans started to care about NPCs, the story was told in a clear fashion, etc. They have made efforts.

Bungie is very aware of the issues with vanilla Destiny and I fully believe that a big focus in Destiny 2 is on story telling.

The "$80,000" in his quote didn't tip you off that he was being sarcastic? :p

I love how they probably put up the most vague thing ever just to drive people crazy.

Though nothing vague about a 2, this is no expansion.

So now that it's all but confirmed there's going to be a PC version, and PS4 is getting exclusive/timed content, and with Scorpio on the horizon, do you plan to stay on your previously selected platform or make a switch?

I wonder if Destiny 2 will have any randomly generated terrain. I feel like the end-game of Destiny was weak because it always boiled down to re-running content that was always the same. There needs to be an end-game that lets you keep upping the challenge. For example, imagine being able to just go off into a direction on Mars in uncontrolled terrain to try and get extremely rare loot. The terrain would be randomly generated, and the enemies would become more and more powerful as you ventured further into Cabal territory. There would be something that you could always shoot for a further goal if they did something like that.

Very triggering for someone who watched the "Destiny actually costs THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS A MONTH if you calculate the cost of Destiny + Collectors Edition + Expansion pass + PSN + your ps4 + internet service + electricity + the rent for your apartment you live in to play Desiny...." actually take place on Gaf.

I wonder if the size of the words in this wordcloud corresponds to the number of players in that particular in that country and/or language

Switching to PC. Tired of paying to play online hence I've let XBL and PSN lapse. I'll play on PC where playing online is still very much free.
