Final Fantasy XV |OT2| For Jared!

finally beat
Adamantoise
i dozed off couple of times while fighting it, although i'm at lvl100 but it took with me almost an hour if not more

i checked online and found that i could beat it in 8 min, i tried that too but idk why it's not working

anyways, glad to beat it , time to move on

any tips on Daemonwall? cause it always push me back to the entrance
also, why i feel inferior although my lvl is 100 ?

edit: finally beat it

now i finished from all hunts but my rank is 9 and halfway to 10 supposedly
so, is there more hunts to increase rank or that's that? cause i'm feeling something missing

i'm still on ch 12

Could you quote some of it? It's blocked at work :/

Shifting a game's development onto new tech is one challenge. Making necessary changes to its story and characters is another. Tabata elaborates on that, too:

"You know, it would have been a lot easier to simply change the [Final Fantasy Versus XIII] designs themselves, but again, people were familiar with them. They're excited to play as these characters, so rather than completely creating new characters—for the main characters, I should say—it became a matter of tweaking the designs to better fit the new technology.

"Cor would probably be the first example that comes to mind," Tabata continues. "In Versus XIII, he was originally conceived as a party member that would be with you the entire time. You'd control him and he'd be there throughout the game, whereas with XV, we decided to focus solely on the relationships between the four guys. You know, they're all the same age, and they have their relationships. So while we kept Cor in the game, he takes on a different role than he did before, more of a mentor, if you will."

"As you know, Episode Duscae was in a lot of ways a prototype," Tabata says. "When Prompto came in dead last in this popularity contest, we were trying to come up with ways to make him more likable. Eventually we realized that this photography feature, making that a part of his character, could be one way to bring him closer to users, make them feel a little bit more appreciation for him and make him seem more likable."

Nice stuff. The bolded part makes sense, but their reasoning for versus XIII characters in the previous paragraph never will o_O

My first ever FF game and I am enjoying it so far currently on chapter 2, so still very early on but much better than I expected/anticipated.

Bahhhhhhh. No one is home and I've got like8 hours free. I dont want to start BC of the March 28 update. Will the update be added to existing save files???

Was gonna grab this on sale and was wondering if the dlc was worth playing and/or important to the overall story to the game.

I think the DLC is "important" to the characters that are starring in them, but doesn't seem like it will affect anyone's overall understanding of what is going on in the story. Update next Tuesday will also add to and clean up Chapter 13.

So, starting next Tuesday is ideal. As for the DLC, I think they will be fun, isolated, mini-episodes that will only add to the game if you ever decide to play it. :)

Pink vesper gar is the toughest fish in the game, right?

I always assumed it was the fish in the last fishing quest...

I don't see why it wouldn't, but you never know.

I would say it shouldn't but don't take my word for it. Plus, for all we know, the update may patch in some bug squashing and little extras for early chapters we may not know of. If you can't wait than I say go for it, but otherwise waiting another two-ish days shouldn't be too bad...

Do you think SE will repeat that limited time event festival DLC thing?
Because...what's the point of the season pass selling tickets if you can't use them anymore if you didn't buy the game in the past?

I assume that's going to be an annual thing, so it'll pop up a similar time next year.

In their recent survey, I suggested that all that timed-event and festival stuff they're creating should be available permanently.

Seems such a bizarre use of dev-time and money for limited-time access.

Bah, too late. I spent all day watching movies and playing clicker heroes instead. What is this life.

Tomorrow I can start!

I watched Kingsglaive and the Brotherhood anime. I actually liked Kingsglaive better, but it's obvious that Brotherhood is providing way better context for my FF15 experience. Amped up and ready to gooooooo

What a short alternative to chapter 13. I enjoyed it.

Also nice to get more story bits.

I just wish they add a cutscene summing up Noctis' story during chapter 13 to make this an actual solution.

You can finally replay the game without having the momentum murdering vanilla chapter 13 :p .

What's the recommended level/chapter for the Episode Gladiolus DLC?
Does it even carry over your levels and equipment from the main game? I have a feeling it's a standalone thing with stuff you can get in it that will then transfer over to your main save.

I liked the new chapter 13. It was great that SE let us play it without going through the game again which made me jump into it very quickly. Some points I liked are the new cutscenes because they explained
Iedolas and Ardyn a bit when Ravus was killed. I liked how he tried to admire Noctis but it was Ardyn.
It was cool but short. I have hopes they can fix more story stuff and I'm excited for Episode Gladio tomorrow.

Was there always 3 resolution settings? Getting back into this to finally complete it now that ch13 has been patched.

I get high is the 1800p mode, and lite seems to be the "improved" 60FPS mode. What is standard? 1080/30? Seems a bit redundant if high is 30FPS.

That's a new setting. Maybe it's the original Lite mode.

How well does it expand on
Iedolas and Revus
?
Not much it's only like two short cutscenes.

One shows you a conversation between the two and how ravus ended up in his situation
his death

The other has Ledolas show up in front of gladio and iggy.

I mean it was nice
Nothing mind blowing

I don't know, that's why I'm asking.

Like the Chocobo Festival stuff was nice, but most of the items you could get were only useful if you were still in early game - does the same apply for Episode Gladiolus?

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
I'm playing a bit of Episode Gladio. Will there be an OT up soon?

Was alright for the money, can't really complain for 4 quid. One of the more prettier areas in the whole game if I'm honest. Glad felt pretty unresponsive though which made the final trial one of the hardest fights I've had in this game, dat bloody red attack spam. Damn you

I didn't know either mate, that's why I was hypothesizing.

Now I know. I've played and beat it. It's standalone - levels don't carry over. You earn some stuff for the main game by beating it.

Boring DLC. It's basically a long corridor with fight along the way. The voice acting is weird here, it feels rushed. Doesn't add anything to the story. It's just kind of... there.

that visual bug happens every now and then, I'm surprised they haven't fixed that yet since that bug has existed since launch

Cleared it at 1.5 hours. It's pretty short but there are challenges.

It doesn't really add to the story, but at least gives more background to Cor and Gladiolus, which is a good thing.

Gameplay wise, it's fun to play Gladio but it can get challenging because he can get unresponsive and clunky when he's blocking.

I'd say the challenges and final trial trophies are probably the hardest in the game (in the whole FFXV in fact), not to mention there are 2 missables.

Any idea how I can get 1m points in the score attack?

I just got to chapter 5, and I think the game is pretty fun. I got bogged down in chapter 3 trying to do all of the side quests and hunts, but eventually realized they just aren't going to stop when I got to around level 23 or so.

I've been kind of button mashing my way through combat and it mostly works. Just a lot of hit and run style. I get a lot of A+ ratings in combat except in time, so I'm wondering how I can improve that rating. Any time I've tried to go toe to toe I just end up getting killed.

Are spells ever useful? I make them and use them, but I always seem to hurt my own party a lot. I will throw them out in the opener but after that I really seem like I have to force it if I want to use them. Do something like a regroup just to recast a spell, it doesn't seem optimal to me.

I found the battle with
Titan
to be a bit disorienting, like I was never really doing anything and then
there was an event where I had to deal 14k damage
and then it was over.

I also found the start to chapter 5 a little jarring. The car is gone, let's go find Ramuh! Maybe I just wasn't following along with Gentiana's speech.
Anyone else feel like that?

Gladio was great. Love Cor.

Also can we take a moment to appreciate that they fixed the annoying jumping when trying to pick up things or crawl ? It only happened once in my play through as opposed to 485 times in 3 minutes.

after playing horizon i really wonder why the triangle button wasn't used to pick things up and interact.

Episode Gladio question: how the hell
can you beat Cor?
I mean, my counter is not consistent enough and I often got wrecked in some seconds, even when I manage to successfully counter, 98% of the time he dodges my attack. One potion and one phoenix down, even the full special moves does nothing since he dodges ALL attacks.
Plus, how can I do 1 million points in the score attack? My best was 560k on my first run.
