Daigo should be happy. They gave a slight buff to some of Ryu's reverts!

S1 s.lk "X": 0.25, "Y": 0.3, "Z": 0, "Width": 1.04, "Height": 0.3,
S2 s.lk "X": 0.25, "Y": 0.3, "Z": 0, "Width": 0.89, "Height": 0.3,
beta s.lk "X": 0.25, "Y": 0.3, "Z": 0, "Width": 1.05, "Height": 0.3,

No way! Figured if anything, they'd meet halfway.

People are way too used to "Beta" tests that serve as glorified demos or advertising for games when they're supposed to actually be for testing games.

Capcom doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt. You guys sound exactly the same as we did during the first Beta and capcom has done nothing but fail since then.

Funny how after all the betas before the game's release, SFV online was still so fucking terrible they had to hold another one a year later. Time to just admit they're really incompetent, maybe?

The problem with assuming that a beta is a "demo" is how the player takes problems. If I'm playing a beta for something, I'm less likely to get pissy about shit because there's a chance that things will turn out fixed. If I'm playing a demo, there's less chance that shit will turn out better.

This is obviously because betas allow feedback. Or at least, this one has an official forum on Steam right now that people can dump in their comments and concerns.

I don't expect things to work perfectly. Hell, let this shit get all fucked up. Better now than later. But I also expect people to get vocal about the problems while keeping in mind that it's a beta. A lot of people are writing it off and it's only Day 1. That's jumping the gun.

What would be real concerning is if Capcom, at the end of a horrible beta, was like "LOL EVERYTHING WAS GREAT, SEE YOU IN A FEW WEEKS". Not saying people should trust Capcom outright but the vitrol and going straight to 10 is silly. There's a happy medium where people can dump concerns and get Capcom to notice stuff, and I hope people take that route over either extreme.

And while I think it's great that Capcom took the servers down to find a fix, they need to let people know what's up. It's been over an hour, beta or no, you gotta keep those communication juices flowing.

Sorry for the troubles and thanks for your patience. As you may be aware, server has been taken offline for maintenance.

Naturally, with a brand new server environment and code changes on the client side, we're seeing unexpected connectivity issues. The team is now triaging and making some updates.

Per the sticky thread, SFV Server team will update their Twitter feed as soon as they have it back online.

Right as you posted that the servers are back. At least I'm playing in bl.

I'm super confused.

So I use Nash and I'm finally learning to play without mashing and when I mash CA after MK/Scythe, my stick inputs look like the Contra code and I still get a 90% success rate. There is not a quarter circle to be found in all that mess and CA still happens. Can anyone explain this?

I heard there was a way to only input quarter circle only once after MK/Scythe and still do CA but it's not working for me. Edit: I can do it after HP or MP into MK/SS. Is that the only way?

It feels like calmly and precisely doing double quarter circle after MK/Scythe and especially LK/Scythe would be impossible.

Yeah, people are really forgetting that.

Thanks for the update.

Mika is the most infuriating piece of shit i have ever witnessed in a fighting game. She single handedly makes me not want ot play this game.

If you play her, I actually hate you.

I don't have the hate for her that I used to but I was once where you are now.

Never forget season one Mika... Those were some dark times.

It doesn't help that her character design and voices in both languages are ass.

I've never found Mika frustrating to fight against, but I hate going against Laura or Gief as far as the grapplers go. Even in S1, Gief was just a janky character to fight and has only gotten worse.

Her design/voices dont bother me. It's her brainless, nigh impossible to escape corner mix ups, and it being so easy for her to get you there. Even after the season one nerfs, shes still just incredibly stupid.

It's like I'm fighting a MKX character.

So is there a way to make my PS3 TE Round 2 work on my laptop? It seems to recognize it when I plug it in.

It's this one

Does it register inputs in the Game Controllers utlity? If so, you can just configure it as a dinput device in SFV. Apparently it's a toss up whether or not it likes your USB chipset.
