If you have Noctis, I would suggest him first. Largely because Cecil and Yoshi have competition for their spots with WoL and Tilith breathing down their neck soon. Noctis takes Cecil's LB and slaps it on a high damage move for a character whose spot is largely ensured for a long time.

Think they have it now, but could be wrong.

I just don't have time or space to keep finished TM ones. (Well, I would of premium because I don't get many done of those, and the ones I do have done are ones I'm keeping.) But free units and all get the boot. Ain't no one got time for that.


What LBs has/is everyone focusing on leveling these days? For me, it's Yun and Orlandu. Been working on Orlandu's with this event. Once I get him quite a bit up will go back to Yun's. Yun's just hits like a truck.

Can't believe you just done Robot considering you have Prische hehe. Whenever there's a new trial I just have to get it out of my system to finish it ASAP or I'll be thinking about how to beat it all day!

I've just been lazy about doing the robot because it took ages to do. The fast method was too unstable for my tastes as well.

I did it with

WoL - Brave Presence every turn
Tidus - Damage, Dispel, Water attack (1000 attack~)
Orlandu - Damage (1000 attack~, Machine Killer)
Hunter Fina - Reraise, -% damage taken, healing
Eiko - Healing, Bahamut Summons
Ramza (Friend) - Singing.

Even then, it was 2 hours, lol. It might have been a bi faster if I hadn't brainfarted and forgot Tidus' water attack gives him water damage too, lol.

Edit: Ability enhancements this time include Rem, Forren, Amelia, Iluzu, Garnet (additional ones), Zidane, Vivi, and Kuja (additiional).

Black Bandanas are a great lesser version of the Black Cowl TM. Good idea to make a few of these, if your key units don't already have Black Cowls.

Nearly burnt out on the event myself.

Just need one more Xon Moogle for Patches, and I think I will stop until the enhancement stuff hits.

Xon is leveled up, and Neon Lasswell is only a few levels away from max as well.

Burst Pots hate me, but apparently my account loves Gil Snapper Families for some reason.

Have a healthy enough supply of rainbow eggs for either a head start next week, or to make enough backups of the event stuff I want if a new currency appears for the gems.

Never thought I'd fuss about NOT being able to deplete my energy fast enough in an event, lol.

They also have sleep immunity, which will be useful for the Dark Siren trial.

It's not really all that bad.

I just run "Fina's Psyche Frontlines: Power on Power" until I'm out of energy. Been doing it for 4 days. No refills unless a level up occurs naturally.

I'll have Cold Snap made by tonight. After that I'll just make 2-3 Black Bandanas.

By tomorrow night or Wednesday morning I'll have everything done 100%. Back to TM farming.

No Xon this whole time either.



Edit - What was also nice is that during this event I've maxed out my Firion and almost have my newly acquired Xon to 6*.

Megacite also helped to finish off all my Espers and I've made lots of Gil with the turtle things.

Although it's needlessly over-complicated, the system isn't that bad once a few items are made.

Most people are crying over the event drops because a large percentage of the gear in the event is custom-tailored towards Fryevia and hybrid users in general. Mentioning hybrid anything to most non-newbie players is about the equivalent of stating that even having such units in their inventory is the equivalent of contracting leprosy. Absurdly overblown, as usual. But, what else is archaically old at this point?

I could not understand why they make you break the left arm on the robot 10 times before it stops regenerating. Once you're able to survive its attack you're basically repeating the same actions for every 3 turns. It was truly grueling. Oh well glad we both got over it!

If the prevailing assumption on enhancement mats next week is correct (trade rainbow eggs for T5, possibly T4 gems), you're likely to end up with enough blue/red eggs to make all the event gear anyway. None of which is worth bothering with aside from Second Knife, and yeah it's a bit of busywork but it's a one-off for a reasonably useful piece of gear.

I expect there to be more activity in this thread when enhancement news releases, but even aside from various new releases siphoning attention/interest away, we're hitting the mature period of the game. Enhancements are the last major gameplay feature to go in - things like training dummy, esper respecs, new maze/dunes tiers and whatnot I don't really count. There's just less to talk about now.

I got done with the event after two days and now I'm back to TM farming what has to be my most boring batch ever: zidane #2, cupid luna, guy, chizuru #2, and shine #2. A bit late so sorry about this Budokai. Beatrix is extremely good. She's a top-class character who's only real fault is that she lags behind the enhanced characters just a little bit in damage modifiers. However, she can do both Lightning and light elemental chains pretty easily making her very versatile.

She's also cool as fuck.
