Cemu Thread: Emulating Wii U Games

It might help with cutscenes in other games since Cemu doesn't support these natively yet.

E: Noiiice, first step towards Xbox button layout done 😀 Now to find the greyed-out and menu buttons.

Oh shit, that would be great. Mind sharing how you're doing that?

Also, double rainbow, all the way! :p

Hello All,

is some trick how use reshade with cemu+BOTW? Without Reshade i have 25_30 FPS in exteriors and stable 30 in interiors but with reshade I have only 20 FPS everywhere only with FXAA and lift gamma gain. When I turned OFF efects in Reshade still is only 20 FPS.

I still have this glitch even with 4K graphics pack-

maybe some problem with shader cache. Try delete shader cache from "precompiled" folder and start game with shader cache files only from "transferable" folder. I had this glitch too but after 4K pack from github+hi res shadows and empty precompiled folder has glitch gone. Maybe help you, maybe not...hmm. I have this shader cache
https://www.reddit.com/r/CEMUcaches/comments/6374h9/zelda_botw_rock_solid_6k_cache/

I only have 20 fps without it so.... :p

Fuck this game for being so good. I don't have the patience to wait for decent performance :(

yes, performance is not good :(

Will do once I'm satisfied with the progress. Hope I can pin point the pause menu button prompts tomorrow, it seems like the game renders the unavailable context prompts as text on a sub layer texture, so not exactly sure how to change that.

Little fun fact: the WiiU version includes textures showing the Switch console :D (I.e. for the control overview)

How is Xenoblade Chronicle X performance?
I just tried Mario 3D World here (i7 7700, GTX 970, 16GB) and it was pretty good but there were some audio and visual glitches.

Just trying to decide if I should leave my Wii U ripping the game for 10 hours.

edit: This video seems to run fine, but the audio is weird.

It's pretty good, hell it has actual mods made for it too.

I can find the durability in Cheat Engine very easily now, but it's just getting a script that can stick from one game load to the next. I have a working array of bites that gets me close but unfortunately it's found twice. If anyone is familiar with cheat engine, I can explain how I find it.

For now though, having infinite durability raises the game up another notch for me =)

Let us know how to find it :D. I've been trying to find a way of using it to get a crapload/infinite arrows but no luck so far.

The biggest issue now is that its a quite a bit more crash prone than initially was. With the GPU fence thingy, I can run 30fps in quite a few places, 24 on average in the overworld, and 20fps as the absolute minimum. I'm actually playing it quite a bit now. Many flaws but definitely already playable enoug for me to progress a bit.

I followed the steps listed there are I rarely get crashes now. Just last night I played a solid 90 minutes with no problems.

Deffo, I finished the whole game outside of the 3 shrines in question. Should probably just put the save on my wii u and do those.

This might of been answered before, but is there a way to bring my save over from the Wii U with a thumbdrive or something if I decided to start playing on Cemu?

Kinda weird, had to recompile the whole cache twice today for no apparent reason... I mean, I've been tinkering with some game files but I'd assume that wouldn't randomly trigger such behaviour. But then again I'm not sure under which conditions Cemu requests a new compilation.

Anyway, I guess I'm finished with my Xbox button project for now. Will wrap up a GUI patcher tomorrow and then release it. Context menu and all menu prompts should now match the controller buttons.

What CPU/GPU you have that gives you this performance?

I have an i5 4670 - 1060 6GB and get 18-22 fps and i did some of the performance improvement tricks.

No PlayStation button version?

LOL why not used Cryonis to shatter the ice blocks? Does it not work in the emulator?
I admit, I had no idea at all that would work lmao. Since it was a enemy using cryonis i didnt think it would be possible to use our own cryonis power to nullify it.
Either way archery is my favorite thing in the game so I still perfer this method eheh.

4690K overlocked to 4.2 Ghz, GTX 970. Using most recent CemuHook.

I'm also running CEMU on a SSD, dunno how much difference that does.

Pretty impressed with 1.7.4d so far, now I'm torn between finishing it on the switch or on Cemu instead.

now imagine if this was on console and if even the hills in the background had the same foliage of the ones in the foreground... goddamnit i hate Nintendo so much.

Niiiiice. I'm mostly used to all the buttons now but it'd still be nice to have real xbox controller mappings.

Can't believe that makes such a big difference over a 3770k @ 4.5 Ghz.

I've just been using a save editor. You can only change the durability of weapons in your inventory of course but that's good enough for me - http://www.marcrobledo.com/savegame-editors/

I actually don't mind the weapon durability as it is so I've just been giving infinite durability to a few good weapons/bows/shields and whatever else I find is replaceable. You can also add the amiibo exclusive weapons and armour.

After waiting the whole day to rip Xenoblade Chronicles X (digital), CEMU tells me that there isn't a meta folder so I can't use graphic packs, but the game runs at native resolution.

How can I find this folder? Was it outside /vol and that's why it is missing? I just used titledumper.exe /vol /path.

edit: just checked my SM3DW and the meta folder is there. Gonna try /vol/meta tomorrow.

1.7.4d is pretty solid, not perfect but they are getting close.

Using it with a 9k shader cache, 1080p, noAA, HighResShadows and 1080p Gamepack.

Stutters maybe once every three/four minutes for 5 seconds, likes to lockup for longer when I do closeups of link though.

Not much to complain about AMD wise now either, looks of the old problems are gone.

So, after the most recent Windows 10 update, Cemu hook doesn't work for me anymore. Cemu itself still works fine, but it completely ignores the dll file and loads as if it weren't there. Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Yesterday I played two hours and a lot of time at 30 FPS in 5K resolution(4x MSAA+4xSSAA,30 fps lock with riva tuner, v_sync OFF). When the GPU load is a little higher game running better than at lower resolutions. But now the game freezes near the first tower everytime :(

Is there any differences at all between shields while using them to skate around? Thinking of just having a pot lid with huge ammounts of durability just to use to wander around.

So out of curiosity, I figured I'd try my FX6300 on BotW for shiggles.... 7.5fps in the shrine of Resurrection... Yep, going to have to wait til I rebuild my PC. How's Ryzen bench marking in CEMU so far?

So I bit the bullet and got BotW all setup on CEMU.

My first experience wasn't that good but then I noticed the hack menu item that I needed to turn on for the GPU fence. Then I threw in a shader pack I had but it was 19K shaders and my 16GB machine died. Got a 6K one, setup my Steam controller and voila. Absolutely stunning. I've noticed a few graphical glitches, but the next thing I want to try is getting my Wii U save game over to it, although Saviiine looks to be a bit convoluted. Or should I say, badly explained.

Unless they changed something from the backer builds, the gyro controls are inadequate for the 4 fans shrine. Eventide locks up eventually when you have to pick up the orb and the one next to Vah Ruta crashes the emulator.
You can do the 4 fans in all those builds, you just need to move the mouse quickly from corner to corner and quit at the right time.

Picking up orbs will sometime lock the game at 0.2 fps, but IMO it depends on where the camera is looking. I did Eventide and it locked while putting the last orb in place, the one in the small island, still managed to fit it and had to wait like 5 minutes until I could save and reload.

I can confirm you can 100% the game on CEMU (even those koroks you have to climb to the top of the flag and it locks, sometimes it won't, lol).

What's the orb next to Vah Ruta that gives you problems?

Did you enable GX2SetGPUFence skip (HACK)? That almost doubled my FPS.

How do you get the gyro stuff to work with a regular controller?

Using graphic packs introduce various glitches for me. Certainly the ones that have many different fixes for various objects, effects and textures. The ones that only change the resolution globally seem to work better but even those introduce glitches and missing stuff in other games.
