I'm ready for a double XP event. I amd 1/3rd my way to lv 33. I have nearly 250 Pidgeys and over 2100 Pidgey candy. I am ready! Also have a bunch of Eevees to evolve too.

I don't really need more stardust, as I have over 400k now. but more is always nice. Will be useful for later when I do start going through it more.

No kidding, back when he was in gyms he was a bitch to fight against as long as he had bubble. I never acquired a bubble Poliwrath until after he was nerfed so I never got to use him as a defender. Never got a decent Slowbro either.

Last night was awesome...finally got my Ampharos! Was just chilling at home, decided to check in on my FB group and there was the post just 5 mins prior and only an 8 min drive away. 671CP with Volt Switch & Thunder at 77% IVs. I can't decide if I want to buff him up to make him a Gyarados prestiger. I have the candy and the dust, just don't know if he'd be a better pick than my Jolteons, Elecatbuzz, or Magnetons.

So close to Nidoking!

Once I get him down I'll have 60 or so Pokémon to evolve.

Losing Pidgey in mass amounts to evolve is kind of a bummer though.

Makes it so much harder to hit 60+ Pokémon for a lucky egg.

I might wait until Easter to see if they do anything but eh.

I've been starting to get back into this over the last 2 weeks after a looong break (early October I think?) and I'm having so much fun. Level 27 at the moment and this morning I got my first 7 day streak and was rewarded with a King's Rock and another stop randomly dropped a Dragon Scale shortly afterwards. Makes it more fun that a few mates and my girlfriend have got back into it and we're all relatively close in terms of progress so there's that element of competition.

I've got a quick question though. As someone who has never spent money on this game (and won't going forward either) and lives somewhere where almost all gyms are locked down with 10 Mystic trainers (I'm Mystic too) - is there any merit to doing a mass-evolution spree without a lucky egg? It's very rare I get a lucky egg since it takes a while to level and progress seems slow as a result. I know I'd be throwing away 500xp per evolution, but does anyone else do this?

Contacted Niantic over a removal of a Pokestop, it was near Cardiff Central Railway station. But due to the demolition of the old bus stop and construction of a new office block and new bus station, it became inaccessible. So requested it removed, and they put a new one 20 feet away just outside the site. Which will soon become inaccessible when they decide to demolish the old car park in a few weeks.

In my own little town, there's 4 Pokestops (1 at the railway station, 2 in the town and one at the Castle) and 2 gyms (1 at an actual outdoor gym, and the other at the Castle). I've only once been able to get to both gyms and control both, before losing one.

Most often, my plays are in two cities. Cardiff on my way to work, and Newport where my partner lives. Get a load of nice Pokemon and stops in both, which has certainly filled my Pokedex up.

rumor is that the eggs you will get during the event will have a higher chance of being Rares...so snorlax, chansey, larvitar may show up in pokestop drops soon so if you're saving eggs, you won't get those.

How do you go about doing this?

Why are people saying their saved 10 k eggs are worthless now?
They have the same Pokemon in them whether the leak is true or not.
I'm not hatching mine until it's confirmed, and if it's true I'll just hatch them all and refill my sack.

Suddenly I have a lot of 10k eggs. Got 2 Sunday, 2 yesterday and 3 today. Hatched another today. Damn Glider though.. Hopefully my next 3 are a Dratini or Larvitar!

Not worthless, but more than likely not going to have the super awesome 10k pokemon like Snorlax or Chansey but rather 10k pokemon from gen-2 trash like Pineco or Mantine.

See, when you get an Egg, the Pokemon in it is already pre-determined. It'll just assign the km based on the Pokemon you're going to get but the type and movests are already fixed. So if Niantic planning to increase the percentage of getting Snorlax during Easter period then it's likely they're not going to happen until Easter. Meaning the 10k eggs you're getting now or a few days ago are more likely gen 2 trash.

So it would make sense to burn off all existing eggs and not replace them until the event starts. I'll do some walking this weekend, maybe I can clear my 5 km ones.

Well, I'm going to have to hatch these 4x 10km eggs sooner or later.

The only question is whether I get extra stardust, xp or candy.

Got six 10k eggs. Waiting for the announcement either way.
If it's double XP/candy/stardust, great. If eggs attained during the event have better contents I'll just batch hatch all my eggs and refill. Have some incubators saved up.

I just want a high IV Chansey so I can evolve it, and more Larvitar candy would be a help.

Ok, I'll take it. Starting at 4 pm EST. So I'll stop walking my current eggs until then. Got a 10k egg ready to hatch in 1.3 km

Damn, I was hoping for cheaper Incubators. Now I have a decision to make. I have 300 coins saved up so I could either get a couple Incubators and start walking my 10ks and get the extra candy. Or I could buy the 8 Lucky Eggs for 250 coins. Which do you all think would be better? I'm about halfway through level 28 btw.

Yeah, I was hoping for cheaper incubators too. I already have 3 lucky eggs. And that be enough to get me to lv 33. But maybe I'll buy some more depending on how they are. That way maybe I can make decent progress to lv 34.

Crap, I've just hatched my first Pineco that dropped 24 candies. Would have had nearly a complete Foretress had I waited a few hours.

Oh well, that's only 130 km :|

Yeah I've heard they are common but I am in some bizarro zone when it comes to Gen 2 10 km eggs, I've already hatched 4 Mareep, several Dratini, random assortment of other Pokemon and that was my first Pineco. Not that I complain since getting Ampharos out of the way so soon is great (though Larvitar would help), but barely few hours later I would've had Foretress too for Dex completion sake.

So then if I start incubating all 9 of my 10k eggs, if they hatch tomorrow I'll get extra candy and exp? Or do I only get extra candy and exp on new eggs?

To get a head-start, I've put 3 of my existing 10km eggs in incubators. Hopefully I don't walk too far in the next few hours.

Nice, maybe I'll finally get my Togepi now. I also have 2 10ks in the oven already, please be decent hatches.

I really hope they do a double candy for catches/transfers again soon. I've been stockpiling Snorlaxes, Dratinis, Larvitars, and Chanseys for this.

3 and a half actually, I believe.
Edit: BTW I don't know if the wording was different before or my non native English was screwing with me, but I re-read the announcement and it is clear now that the 2x EXP is for everything.
