Its kinda unfortunate that people mostly associate pot with 4/20 than they do Columbine..

While I do not mean in any way to diminish the loss of those murdered in the Columbine shooting, 4/20's association with weed dates back to 1971. So in terms of cultural memory/relevance it's been associated with weed for 45+ years at this point. It's crass as fuck to say but, the shooting isn't going to reverse that.

Also, as many others have already said, it's maybe better to focus on something light, happy, fun, and positive, than to let yourself succumb to the darkness of a horrible act. There's no reason people can't do both, either. Everyone mourns in different ways, for some people it's difficult to feel a real sympathetic connection to an event that happened far away from them to people they've never heard of before. Others could "pour one out" for those killed in the event as well. Just because people celebrate 4/20 by getting blitzed doesn't mean that there aren't those that get blitzed and also mourn.

This date will only really mean something the year it's legalized throughout the west. May as well call it Liberation Day

Went for a bike ride to get high. Man vs Nature was a central theme of that bike ride, did not anticipate the torrential rain I was about to endure. Smoked two bowls and said fuck this. Worst part is I don't even feel anything, damn you tolerance, damn you to hell.

Spent too much time winning in arcades growing up to do drugs.

From Wikipedia, on William Sessions:
Just before Bill Clinton was inaugurated as the 42nd President of the United States on January 20, 1993, allegations of ethical improprieties were made against Sessions. A report by outgoing Attorney General William P. Barr presented to the Justice Department that month by the Office of Professional Responsibility included criticisms that he had used an FBI plane to travel to visit his daughter on several occasions, and had a security system installed in his home at government expense.
I wouldn't live based on that guy's standards.
