i kinda miss the "insiders" that would be on gaf and sprinkle us with hints and sometimes would outright confirm a certain game was coming. made gaf a lot more interesting for me. shame most of them aren't around anymore. can't wait for e3. hopefully sucker punch pulls a guerrilla games on us.

What happened to them? I remember C-BOAT, Verendus who got banned for good reasons. But there were more NKRNL among others who would just lean in your ear and whisper......*something..*something *remake, or *something...... *something exclusive this year and gaf would melt.

This is where I come down on it. It can be fun to see a bunch of new trailers. I don't think knowing what games do and don't exist, when they're supposed to come out, when trailers are going to be show, etc. affects that very much. And, as always, the more you know about what a company is trying to sell you, the better.

It wouldn't have been as legendary if some people hadn't convinced themselves that it couldn't happen. In PB's case it was people saying it'd never happen because there was no reason for From to ever make exclusives again now that Dark Souls had become a success. A more recent example would be Kojima and people claiming that he wouldn't sign with Sony because they couldn't afford him.

Gaf, I'm telling you, it's Demon's Souls. As much as I like Resistance and KZ they certainly don't fit the language used here. Plus, you would have a system that had almost all From Software Souls games, with the exception being DaS. How many people have said "Fuck it, not gonna buy the system for Bloodborne"? With another one they would certainly think twice.

It's one of the most popular genres right now from one of the most popular developers. Also it's by far the most cult status game that PS3 has. Also, millions of PS4 owners never had the chance to play it in the first place since they didn't own the previous system.

From every perspective, it's the right move to me.

I hope that whatever Sucker Punch is doing isn't related to zombies or the apocalypse in any way. Sony has three first party titles with this theme, one that was just released and two still coming, SP can do something more unique

It's what I heard was on the table from some friends who are involved with companies that are handling various game properties (ports / remasters). They know I was a huge fan the series and mentioned the anniversary of Second Son, so it got me even more hyped. I'm not an insider, though. Just another person with a decade+ of history with game industry (and a little with film industry).

If Bluepoint is remaking 1 & 2 (and Festival of Blood) that would be incredible. Though I'm not opposed to a remake of other games mentioned in the last few pages!

Get rid of that serious tone and have some fun; help some people, save some lives or save a crashing airplane or something. That's my main gripe with sucker punch. They have to think out of the box more and lighten up.

I feel ya. The "morality" system in Second Son was a joke. I enjoyed and thought the game was great in spite of it. But they do need to go fully on a linear path and just embrace the super hero nature of those games.

Same. Second Son/First Light was a mistake. Should have gone with the evil ending of 2 and continue it from there. I bet they regret that. Was a dumb decision to look at trophy data. Just bring back cole and the gang and all is forgiven. Also Kessler, because it's kessler.

nearly every first party studio got the chance to work on a new AAA Ip in this gen (Santa Monica, Evolution Studios, Bend, GG, Sucker Punch also Ready at Dawn if we can count them) maybe ND aswell if that Amy Henning Departure would not happen

i wonder if Japan Studio is also working on one (apart from the Verendus Rumour that we obviously cant count anymore)
