If the rumours circling around EuroBricks, and now picked up The BrickFan are true, the rumoured Fairground Carousel could be released in June, as set 10256.

I had originally heard about it early last year, but it looks like it was bumped due to a crowded D2C release schedule in 2016.

Also as we previously discussed, it appears Jamie was totally dropping a hint during the UCS Snowspeeder designer video intro.

I'm crying on the inside for you because the Falcon is 40% off soon.

But welcome. Feel the force flow through you.

I'm hesitant. With Grand Carousel being a set that happened the hope for this set will be hard to live up to.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :) Im excited for Star wars day so i can pick up some more stuff my only question do places like toys r us and other retailers do May 4th sales in store?

Just put together my first BrickHeadz (Batman & Joker), and they're great! I want to get more now ;P
My one complaint is that the DC ones get a bit samey if you do a whole bunch at once (with Batman and Batgirl being the most similar). I still want to get the Marvel ones, but I hope they're better in that regard.

Welcome to Lego GAF. You need to have massive self control when you come into this thread. Luckily, my area of interest is mostly in Technic (which doesn't get talked about much here) and Star Wars UCS. I've been a fan of Lego for more than 30 years!

In my mind there's no way in hell this set would ever match the Grand Carousel, and i say that as someone who doesn't even own the damn thing.

Ready to be proven wrong though, but i somehow feel those great, opulent sets where they really go overboard with details, piece counts, basically a set that blows your expectations out of the water instead of just living up to them are over.

Somewhere, Jamie Berard is sitting and thinking: "Challenge accepted."

Assembly Square? GB HQ? Big Ben?

I'd love to see a new carousel, even though I have no space for it and just tore down my ferris wheel.

I haven't built Assembly Square yet admittedly, but yeah, modulars have been consistently great! GB HQ or Big Ben though? Not sure they compare to legendary sets like the Grand Carousel, the UCS Falcon (which we are luckily getting a new one of soon) or the Taj Mahal...

Hopefully I didn't miss it posted elsewhere but is there any news on the Saturn V set? I don't want to overspend on Switch stuff only to not be able to grab the rocket.

Nothing but teaser images so far.

It's releasing in June and will probably be $100 or so, going by the piececount of the submission.

No price info yet, we didn't seem to get another teaser image this week either, so I'm not sure when they'll talk more about.

The original Ideas submission was about 1,200 pieces, so if LEGO sticks close to that I would guess the price would be in the range of $100-150.

Thanks for the update. Well, now I wonder if I will get ARMS on launch or this?

Hmmm. Having second thoughts about this Death Star thing. I'm thinking that I could get the A-Wing and the discounted AT-ST for the bonuses, and grab a few CMF17. Then I'd feel better about also wasting a ton of cash on other stuff in May.

Very cool to see. Thank you for that.

This is the most open I've ever seen LEGO on the details of the production process of its sets, so I would recommend everyone here take a look, whether or not you buy the Star Wars sets.

And I'm very curious as to his "wish list" set that he wants to produce...

I'm mostly proud he has a Bionicle sticker on his laptop ^_^

Does Kwik-E-Mart count? The inside of that thing is crazy.

Built the UCS Tie Fighter over the weekend. Did this thing turn out way bigger then I had expected! I'll have to tear some sets down to give it some breathing space in my display.

Also, the build was way les tedious then I had anticipated. Offcourse, there is a lot of repetition building the wings, but if you do them one by one, the build itself is long enough to not annoy to much, if you get what I mean (once you restart at step 1 of wing 2, step 1 of wing 1 was 'a long time ago in a galaxy eh, pretty near'. Especially of you do build the two halves of one wing simultaniously)

Not sure when I'll get the Snowspeeder, but I definitely will get it. Hooked on the UCS-game now. My wallet may cry.

(I've got to go to germany for work in may, so with some luck I can hop into the Lego Store in Hamburg and pick it up for 200 in stead of 230)

Built the UCS Tie Fighter over the weekend.....

I was on the fence on this one for ages, but so glad I got it. It's huge when built.
I'll be ordering the snowspeeder this weekend, but I still have the sandcrawler to build as well.
Phon, I know you were unsure on the SC, did you build it, and what were your thoughts? (Was it you?)

I picked up the Sandcrawler when it was heavily discounted on Amazon. Started building it a few weeks ago and stopped once Silent Mary hit. I need to go back and continue it.

So is it confirmed that US will get early VIP access to Snowspeeder and R2 this weekend? I by chance am going to Nashville saturday, and it would be great to get the set early.

Sigh... just when i came to terms with buying the damn thing.
Stickers aren't that bad. Some small details though. As per the announcement below, all the stickers are visible.

Still worth it

Had to go double check since others mentioned it in here, and sure enough, according to the press release it is early access on the 29th. I wonder if R2 is early access as well.

Oh, legit had no idea that early access was happening. I figured those mentioning it were in Europe.

R2 has only been advertised as a may the 4th promo

Don't know how he got it early but you know who got the new WW movie set and reviewed it already. This is going to be one of those superhero sets that get released in EU and then we don't see it in the US for two months isn't it? Anyways it looks really good just like the pics, love the figs and WW's printed arm bracelets. The only thing that kept nagging at me about the super big fig build was plain dome piece for his shield. The rest of the build was nicely detailed including the helmet build, chest, face just everything but they couldn't add a sticker for the shield or even a small round printed plate just to put in the center of it or something? Its a small complaint but something my eyes kept being drawn to and was distracting to me for some reason. Other than that definitely looks like a must buy set, can't wait.

Said it when the first pics leaked of the set, but serious top 5 set of the year contention there. You take the best part of the Super Hero Airport Battle set (giant brick built figure), then improve it and toss it in a cheaper set. This is a no brainer purchase.

But TRU exclusive? Might have to go by tomorrow and see if the local store has it early.

On a different note, the Saturn V was in the database at work. Listed as June 1st, and $120. No box pics or anything, but good to have price confirmation.

Cool. That's the expected price range. Had hoped for 99, but at 120 it'll still hoover around 10ct a piece probably.

Yeah, I'm in for that. Looks to be 40x40 studs compared to GC's 48x48 but there was a lot of dead space in the GC set and it looked quite plain*, I think this one looks way nicer with everything being so compact.

(*might be trying to convince myself I'm not bitter about not owning it, here)
