Dragon Ball Super |OT6| Put your back into it.

There's one technique in Super that's been brought up a couple times, but spaced apart to such a degree that I don't know if it means anything.

Remember how when Vegeta and Goku first fought Beerus, it seemed like Beerus could completely nullify energy? Beerus did it with a ball of energy that would have wiped out the universe and during the big fist fight towards the end of the arc?

Fast forward to the future arc and it seems like Vegeta does the same thing. Vegeta briefly seems to nullify Black's rose form, but no one really comments on it. Mainly because Vegeta loses almost immediately after this.

I'm probably overthinking things here.

I don't think the Garlic Jr saga is the worst, and I liked that it continued off the series. The Vegeta searching for Goku filler during that arc was great.

Eh. At least it's not lying click-bait since the full-title specifically says [Recolor].

Though I guess it could have been made for places where you can't see the full title.

You do know it's their business to click bait and it's carefully elaborated for people NOT to see it then click on the video, and can't "blame them" because "well it's in the title".

The nature of clickbaiting means you weren't looking for the video, so the chances of seeing the full title are slim.

I'm watching old and random episodes of DB (random from Frieza, Cell and Boo sagas) and Goku there it's like a completely different person compared to Super. On the old arcs, Goku was pretty likeable, had humanity and was kind. In Super, he doesn't have any of that since he's only obsessed with fighting just because he likes to fight strong guys no matter if he puts the whole universe in danger for that doing his n___n face. He was like that on DBZ too but he at least had more responsability on taking care of their loved ones. On Super, he literally doesn't give a damn about his family anymore. Just a random opinion that of course will not stop me from watching the show since it's getting more and more interesting each week but ya', you have to chill from all that fighting obsession Goku, hah.

The issue is that Toriyama never thought of Goku as an overly heroic figure; Goku's main motivation for fighting villains was their protecting those who are directly close to him or fighting strong guys. Sometimes the latter when it should be the former. Toei pushed more towards making him a straight-up hero with the original Dragonball Z anime. Toriyama's mentioned it more than once, so both he and Toei's writers are probably trying to fix that now, and perhaps going a little too far at times.

Why not... both?
I honestly don't know how much I'm excited for the next episode. It seems more focused on him getting mystic back, and I'm not sure if that'll be exciting geting a power he use to have. Execution is key with these episodes, like 84.

It's easy to make it an amazing episode, but I think it's also easy for them to make it a by the book type episode with no emotion.

I hope we get a flashback to early DBZ where Piccolo is training him.

As of late, I've repeatedly been having the overwhelming urge to sing Papa Roach's "Last Resort" while doing a Hercule impression. I'm not sure why that is. It started when I was in bed a few nights ago. Just trying to get to sleep and suddenly I was the world's champion.

I enjoy Goku more in Super than Z. I don't know if that's because I prefer the original voice over the dub voice (I watch the sub of Super, and I watched the dub of Z) or if I do prefer the personality change from Z to Super. I think it's a bit of both. Super Goku is endearing. He makes me literally lol and there is something about his naivety that just holds my attention

I liked it too. I'am all for filler arcs that introduce/reintroduce new villains. This and the Afterlife Tournament arc are the only two arcs that that allow for some breathing room between the big arcs. Super and OG Dragonball have done this very well too. Z's filler mostly consisted of bloating an episode up in between the real story.

If anything, at least they're actually showing his progression? Gohan's definitely getting the most development out of anyone not Goku lately.

There has been a focus on Goku Krilin Gohan and 17.

They have to throw Vegeta a bone though now that he has his daughter and the obsolete blue form.

I think he did in that episode where Whis birthed Bulma's baby.

Why

I loved the "push the next generation" side of Goku. He pushed Gohan to stop Dabura and Buu. He tried relying on Goten and Trunks to stop Buu. Up until Gohan getting absorbed, Goku spent more time relying on people then doing it himself. I really liked his character, and felt it fit after Cell saga Goku.

Garlic Jr is awesome whoever thinks it's the worst has no taste
My only issue is it went on too long. It could have been an episode or 2 shorter.

It was neat seeing the arc focusing mainly on Gohan and Krillin though, and a little bit on Piccolo.
Also Kami and Popo being integral to the plot, and messing around with the Piccolo and Kami bond was nice.

I wonder if Super is ever going to give Videl and Gohan another kid?

I don't think they've ever shown a significant Saiyan or half-breed that didn't have a sibling.

If Videl got pregnant again I wonder what mental gymnastics some people would do to try and make it fit with GT.
