Eh, if he comes forward and says any of the following:
'I never told the president that he wasn't under investigation'
'I never asked for dinner'
'He did indeed ask me for loyalty, which I refused to give'.
It's going to put a lot of pressure on even the soulless GOP to take heed.
I'm asking him to be honest. If in fact all of these proclamations from Trump are indeed bullshit, do the right thing and let the world know. That's not 'being Batman', it's ensuring that your country isn't run by a Russian compromised liar.
I can imagine so. Dude devoted his life to working for the US government only to ultimately be fired by a paranoid wannabe-dictator, and then gets his name and legacy publicly dragged through the mud by said wannabe dictator.

Literally threatening the person he fired; the person investigating him into silence. If you're a Trump voter that feels shame for supporting this, their may be hope for you. Otherwise I'd imagine this is the exact kind of "masculine" power play that gets off the people who salivate over Trump's limp pale cock waggling.

He could testify as to what Trump said to him during dinner/calls though, including whether he felt Trump was attempting to pressure him to slow/halt the Russia investigation in exchange for keeping his job.

If it means they get to kill people, get money, satisfy their puppeteers, destroy rights and impede progress: Trump could shit on live TV, point to it, and tell all Americans to eat it and they would not only put up with it but spin it to paint any American who wasn't willing to scoop it into their mouth immediately as a villain

It depends on the type of voter. If the person thought Trump was the best candidate, they probably still do since their world view is very similar to most children's. If they voted against Hillary, most of them are realizing their mistake and have been quietly removing all signs of Trump support. Now most won't admit they were wrong and will not speak about it or lie and say they didn't vote for Trump.

From a logical perspective though, he already fired Comey, so what exactly is his leverage in getting Comey not to release these "tapes" if Comey made them?

Legal repercussion as he has been threatening leakers with lately. That's what I thought he was threatening Comey with on the suspicion that Comey may have recorded Trump illegally.

Ask him why Sessions had to recuse himself & Flynn was fired. Ask him why, if Trump is innocent, he's not the first and most vocal supporter of an independent, unobstructed investigation.

That's how most people are interpreting it including the House Oversight / investigations. Yeah, it seems Trump is hinting that Comey shouldn't try to leak anything because Trump might have tapes to discredit Comey. The House letter responding to the tweets takes on that interpretation of Trump suggesting he knows there may be tapes that he can release if he wants.
Read the tweet again and you can see Trump is actually suggesting Comey not leak anything because tapes could come out showing what Comey said. Rather than a Trump saying he hopes Comey didn't personally make recordings because Trump will come after him legally.
Well, yeah, but that is cause Hillary knew that the system would protect her, while the very same system is trying to topple Trump as he is about to drain the swamp. #MAGA
