Street Fighter V |OTVIII| New Delayed Generation - Controversial Inputs

I think that DP change is gonna help a lot more than people thought it would.

Besides maybe Juri.

Edit: I'm done with this Beta. Not that there's anything wrong, but I'm tired of fighting Ed Edd And Eddies all day. Love the Birdie changes, definitely gonna help against the jumpins without having to hold buttons all day. Rest of the characters feel pretty cool but I'm pretty settled in with this Birdie. Charge times feel better, but not enough to make me go back. Thought about picking up a Guile because for some reason he was pretty fun but I don't know if I have the execution for all that.

Most of my matches were good, and the bad ones were likely shitty wifi, but nothing as terrible as the original CFN. Still need to fix one-sided rollback though.

New CFN additions are really nice. Love how it breaks everything down, like even your hit rate and shit. That's insane, and really useful.

Loading is better, and if the loading is cut down here, and anywhere near how it was during the Ed showcase, it'll be pretty fast offline too. I still think Rog needs a few nerfs, and the low tier characters need a few more buffs, but it's a good place to be for the next couple of months. Now that the CFN is (hopefully) going to arrive in a better spot, they can get to fixing the rest of the game in terms of QoL, content, and whatever. Sucks that the online improved right before Tekken. Already am gonna split time a little bit to mash around, and Gundam is coming out in Japan next month as well, but having faster matches means I want to play more. Literally didn't get up for like an hour because I kept getting paired up.

it will still help juri

I recall a video of Juri still getting bopped and knocked out of her DP, but they might have been using the wrong one and misunderstood the patch notes.

About that change to fierce DP for all DP characters. Is it strike and projectile invincibility from frame 1 or frame 3 like the first changes to all MP DP's in S2 back in December? I'd love to mash DP on wake up again if possible :p

Been taking a break and thought I'd go back to Ryu with this update since his LK's coming back, but looking back over the S2 notes, he lost so much that I'm not sure he can keep up with current game's momentum-based styles.

The DP change really helped Juri, now blowing up dive kicks is much easier.

I think most evaluations on Juri are always jaundiced by precieved value rather than actual value, for the point that perhaps the best people to explore a character will never do so due to precieved stronger alternatives.

I was playing someone who picked Ed and this "league up chance" banner came up. Pretty nice.

Once a character becomes a meme, they are shit, regardless of whether or not people even reach a level where it matters. The sad thing is people don't even test out character because of that.

Also, Wave seems to like the Alex buffs. Still needs a few more but he's far more positive on this Alex over S2 Alex. Not that it's hard, but still.

A few develepoers try to make a show out of calling out such flawed ideals. Activision games in genereal, Blizzard makes hay of that issue, and Treyarch proved this by messing with a gun's audio feed back.

I think Capcom can do something similar.

Played as Ed a bit. Many good normals, great v-skill, good v-trigger. Amazing dashes. Boring CA that scales harshly. Normal damage output -- can kill with three good combos. Special moves don't seem that great except for use in combos. Feels like a fundamentals character. These observations are preliminary and probably wrong.

I feel like Ryu's new cHP looks maybe a little awkward next to the rest of his moves.

It's trash in every way
Just change the animation because you thought the combo with DP looked weird(even tho it was fine)
Atleast change some properties

Mims a bit of a low-talker and a mumbler, but this is her first time commentating AFAIK. Just needs more experience/practice to improve that stuff. Anyway, I like seeing her on stream.

Yeah, Jiyuna is serviceable, and is effectively solo broadcasting this.

This is nothing compared to early Skisonic and his whole shtick of calling it like a radio HS football game.

They aren't the worst, but Mim seems disinterested in what she's doing. The worst commentators are so bad they make me close out or mute the stream.

They're the worst pairing. Jiyuna's doing a good job, she's just making it physically hard to listen to.

Jiyuna and Mim are literally the worst commentary pair in history of commentary.

Jiyuna: Mim, tell us what we're seeing here?

Mim: .....

Like I said, I don't know if she wanted to do this but she's not ready yet. I actually think she's improving little by little as the tournament goes on but she shouldn't be commentating a top 8 yet. Jiyuna is doing a fine job and is trying to get her involved so props for the effort at least.

That commentary was rough but I'm stoked for Bonchan, great shit.

Yeah, not sure I'd say he is doing fine or that I can blame her for being quiet when one of the first things he said was "sorry stream monsters" because she was wearing a turtleneck. Or when she had a lot of arcade sticks that her "fans must give her them all the time". Dude's awkward as fuck.

During Fuudo's matches he completely stopped doing any semblance of commentary to be a cheerleader. Nah, I'm good on Jiyuna.

So... the BB Boy/Girl costumes also got reduced to $2 from $4

Wonder what else got reduced in price

It was like that from the start on PC, perhaps due to a mistake that never got corrected.
However, the battle costumes for the original cast did just get reduced in price by $1, from $4 to $3.
