What platform are you buying Tekken 7 for?

I immediately thought ps4

But then again I never play online, so if the pc version gets mod support I might go for the pc version

PS4. Not much of a PC gamer (and I only have my laptop anyway), don't have an Xbox, and there's no Switch version, so it's the only real option. But even then I almost always go with Playstation for fighting games to begin with.

Deciding is easier if you intend to be very competitive. If you intend to climb the ranks and you're already good then there will likely be no substitute for the PS4 playerbase. Otherwise the PC version will be fine.

I know it is irrational, but this just looks so wrong.

... how many of you guys are co-oping with Speedkicks and Mr. Naps on a daily basis? Other platforms are just as competitive. That's just how ranking up works.

That's like saying the real competitive scene is only in korean/japanese arcades.

Pretty much also assumes that no legacy or pro players might decide to migrate to a new platform.

PS4, but only if they announce Lei. Otherwise I'll cancel my preorder.

BTW, what's the best fighting stick right now that will work with it? I don't have any PS3 sticks.

Brand Loyalty is silly.

I don't really consider that brand loyalty, it's more of an attachment of memories to a thing. Like drinking Jack Daniels because that's what your dad drank when you were a kid. For many people, they grew up playing Tekken on PlayStations, so that's a powerful nostalgia. Doesn't mean playing on PC is inferior, but Tekken definitely is strongly attached to the PlayStation brand at this point.

PS4 and PC.

PC port is great from what I've played btw.

If you want to play competitively, you'll need the game on PS4.

Out of pure curiosity do we know what platform the big fighting game Twitch streamers will be playing on cause I watch Maximilion quite a bit and he said he is getting the PC version.

PS4 because it's the only platform I own that it's being released on. Also, it's the version where most of my friends will be playing on.

I'm getting it for ps4 on PC. But there should be no argument that the actual game should be better on PC. Ps4 will have the community though

PS4 only for now. I'll wait for performance analyses on the PC version, but I'd like to double dip so I can play it on my laptop (i7-6700HQ, 6GB GTX 1060, 16GB DDR4) so I can practice during downtime at work, assuming my laptop can manage stable 1080p/60fps. Pretty sure I'm just on the recommended spec, so I'm a bit worried my laptop wouldn't really handle it smoothly, but like I said -- I'll see how performance analyses turn out.
