LTD of GTAV for PS4+XB1 / LTD of PS4+XB1 hardware = 4/5?
So in other words 80 percent of North American PS4+XB1 owners bought GTAV?

How long do we expect Switch to be the #1 selling console? With the fervent hype and demand not dying down 2.5 months after launch, I'm thinking it could have a firm grip on that title for the foreseeable future.

I don't know. I think if their online is anything like GTAV's I think you could see that thing charting for a while.
What's the point in bundling the two platforms in a list if only one platform is represented? Why not have a separate Vita list or simply omit the Vita entirely if it's irrelevant?

Apart from Minecraft (the only other example) it is the only game to consistently chart in the top 10 outside the holiday months, so LTD sales will follow LTD sales of the XBO & PS4.

Red Dead doesn't have the same brand appeal as GTA. It will sell incredibly well, but it won't have the same legs.
Well done Nintendo. Glass they're back in their feet and I can't wait to get my Switch. Also well done to Nier. I'm playing through it now and while I'm not as in love with it as some others, it's good that something a bit different sees success.

NPD is based on revenue now, not units sold
So if BO2 was very cheap at retail that means it must have sold a fuck ton
I still can't believe BO2 actually charted.. that's crazy

Um...MLB the show always came around 5th-6th when they were ranking charts by units sold. It's not very surprising that it would come 4th in its debut month when measuring by revenue generated. Specially when Sony has started sharing digital data.

Just in case someone missed it, NPD charts by revenue. This 2012 game charted while at a discounted price. Publishers should take heed that their back catalogue of good games can be profitable without abusing customer wallets.

Let's complete the trifecta.
Also, apart from Zelda and MLB, every game above it is either a new release or multiplatform. You'd expect Zelda to still be selling high numbers considering the Switch stock situation and the ridiculous attach rate for that game. And with the MLB season kicking off in April (and it still being a relatively new game releasing at the end of March), a high placing for that makes a lot of sense as well. Horizon's placing on the multiplatform list doesn't seem like an abnormal drop to me.
