Gumi preventing 0,5% of the playerbase to be too strong too early.
Edit : JP got their first ability enhancement + Ramza's one month before their anniversary, June will be the true test to see if Gumi deliberately try to screw GL over or not. I don't need to mention that Gumi "balance" trials and bosses by adding more stats/debuff resistances/new gimmicks.
Yes Aigaion will be a nightmare.
I'd say more than 0,5% of the player base already is way too strong and no balance attempt so far was able to remedy that. People with at least 1 BiS Orlandu one shots every single boss. Not to say due to our TM farming addiction, we have way too many tools to do the same with units that are not Orlandu. Like, Ling soloing Gilgamesh, Zyrus soloing Bahamut etc.
The game is already broken beyond repair for this bubble of players that keep giving them money and I don't believe they give a fuck about the rest. I also don't see Aiagon being a threat considering we already know how to make short work of him.
All of this this does not consider the majority of players, F2P players but I honestly don't think Gumi is worried about them.

Agreed on most thoughts here.
From Gumi's perspective, they enjoy the fact that for all practical purposes, all accounts are segregated from each other and have no impact on other accounts outside of friend unit sharing. Let's say that that one half of one percent are the OP units. What percentage of the population are those units actually shared with? Two? Three at most? On top of that, all of the OP units at this point are segregated away from the general population, as those accounts are surely rank 110-120+ by now. The percentage of normal players (let's say rank 60 and below) that have these rank 120+ accounts on their friends list is pretty much zero. No account at rank 120+ is generally seeking to add rank 60 and below to their friends lists. As a result, all of the OP accounts are in a nice little bubble that Gumi can generally safely ignore as tainting the rest of the server population.
The same logic can be applied to the robot trial. The OP accounts will win on day 1. Maybe upwards of 5% of the total population will win while struggling with the help of OP friends that offer assistance. That leaves the massive majority of 95% of the population that won't beat it anytime soon thereafter and as a result will move to whatever beat Gumi plays for "assistance" with the seemingly insurmountable trial. Gumi can safely ignore that 5% that can win self-sufficiently without harming the population at large.
The only point I'd somewhat disagree with is that Gumi doesn't care about the general population. Gumi can safely ignore the whale population somewhat as whales will do what whales do without motivation from Gumi. On the other hand, for the game to grow, Gumi has to entice players that would normally not spend to do so. To that extent, Gumi is very interested in the F2P playerbase.
In fact, I'd say (rather confidently at that) that the double consumption rate of the event is an implicit attempt to get players (especially F2Ps) to spend on the event using the giancrysts as bait. Reddit should be interesting to watch, if there isn't some kind of new significant gameplay distraction next week. Should be a story expansion week, which should keep the focus of everyone on the FFZ event, which is what Gumi is likely observing the playerbase on quite closely.

I finshed three a long while ago. Had enough ore for five but sold all that crap after how long it took to gather logs for three.
After (27*25=) 675 NRG spent in this event, I came to the conclusion that Mikazuchi (monster n°399) don't exist.

I've had better luck. I've done around 20 runs and run into four... but died on a boss on one round becuase I was on auto-pilot. lol
whew i forgot the l'cie junk was in FFT-0
i wonder if there was pressure to promote fabula nova crystallis games so they put out so many units for those three games

Well. It depends how you define lucky. I did 88 pulls on the banner which is about 83 more than I wanted to do but once I hit 40 I figured I may as well keep going until I get her. 88 isn't "bad" for the featured 5* but I wouldn't say it's lucky. However, I pulled 3 off banner Rainbows trying for her so that's 4 Rainbows in 88 pulls. That's pretty lucky lol. 2nd Queen/4th Luneth/2nd TT/Rem. Still didn't pull an Ingus. What an asshole.

Holy crap, the horse dragon thing exists. Dumped my morning 100 EN into 4 runs and got Mika to show up twice. Event partially redeemed. Cashed out the TM moogle and 7 of the 10 tickets.
WTH is with that **awful** Mode-7 sprite for Mika? Seriously, could they not tried to at least touch up the straight-from-PSP-3D-rip of its sprite? A 240p low-res 3d model just looks god-awful on a 1080p screen.

So I just had a discussion on the discord channel about that Firion could not solo Bahamut Trial. So i accepted the challenge and gave it a try, since i was sure firion is strong enough to solo that trial.
My firion stats are as follow:
HP:6533 ATK: 405 MAG:267 MP:309 DEF:260 SPR:396
Equipment: Dragon's Roar (crafted from the raid) Aura Staff (Flamering Key from Sorcerer's Hideaway) Cat-ear Hood (Fat Chocobo from Sorcerer's Hideaway) Tabby Suit (From the The Floating Continent Event) Domination Ring x2
Abillities: Dual Wield Mana's Blessing x3 (5%hp and 10%spr)
The Fight: Just attack with Drain Blade every round, and once you get low on MP, just use Lance and go back to Drain Blade after that.
If you don't have Mana's blessing, just equip yourself with 15% hp and 10%spr materia. Keep in mind my Firion is maxed on pots, but it should still be doable without. Hope this guide will help some of you who dont have these juicy 5* base units yet to burst down everything

You two have definitely got me beat in rainbows. My pull luck is pretty statistically accurate, I took me over 200 pulls to get Rem, and she was the only rainbow I got in over 200 pulls.I would have absolutely loved to get a second TT.
I'm pretty weak to this game as well. I was completely going to skip this banner, but I was in NY on business trip Friday when this banner hit, and was stuck in cab in traffic. It was insanely hot, and I got bored so I connected to my PC at home using Teamviewer from my iPhone and did over 200 pulls on emulator using Amazon coins. It was the most awkward, sweaty pulls I did in this game.
But I'll admit that Rem is pretty nice, and better than I thought she would be. I was so anti-hyped for her before the banner hit, and I hated her character in FF0. They buffed her well. She goes to 900 MAG near effortlessly and over 1,000 MAG in a decent build.
Should we start taking bets now if we have Rikku in time for Aigaion or not? Given how WoL is going, we might be waiting a while again...
Really hoping I can clear the robot pretty quick since the rewards will turn Yun into even more of a punch god.

You probably have me beat on rainbows too. I'm personally missing two crucial units, being Emperor and Marie. And that wasn't for the lack of trying, I did over 300 pulls on each of them and didn't get them.
I'm also missing Demon Rain and Randi. I stopped pulling after I got Dracu Lasswell, and I had no luck with Secret of Mana either.
Ramza is annoying as well. If I knew that I would get so many of him I should have skipped his banner, same with Ace for me, I get a lot of Aces. Granted, both are going to be great units once ability awakening hits, but you don't need multiples of them outside their TMs.

It's just bad for me since I could have completed a ribbon + Mateus's rod already, and my rare encounter luck is awful, I didn't even know golden bombo could appear, of course I have yet to see one.
I'm thankful next time I can bring Vaan + Penelo, or even Tilith/Maxwell should count as bonus for BF since they are getting a 6* upgrade, like Terra/Kefka for FF VI.
