This reminds me I need to try to get back into this game. It'll be the third time. Neither of the other times it has stuck. I feel back that it hasn't tbh.

Bought Dark Arisen a few years ago for 10€, still sealed. Got the game on PS+ , never played it. Will probably buy the game for PS4 and finally play it. The gifs always looked great.

Finally! I had given up hope of seeing this on PS4/XB1. Got this initially for the PS3 but never got round to finishing it.

Day 1. Give me that 4K30 or 1080/60 Capcom.

My brain completely ignored the Dark Arisen part and skipped to PS4/XB1 and I assumed a DD2.....

Lol yeah, got excited for a second.

But I'll probably end up buying the PS4 version even if I'll never play it. Maybe if I keep throwing money at them they'll finally make a sequel. Would be like.. I think the 5th time I'm buying this game.

FUCK YES, HYPE OVERLOAD!!!!! Man, what took so long!? Regardless, anyone who enjoys action-RPGSs or just good combat in games in general needs to give this a chance. Dragon's Dogma is a great game.

EDIT: Ah, I missed the bit about it being Japan only for now. I really hope it gets released worldwide. The game really deserves to be played by a wider audience.

Already spending over 150 hours on the PS3 version, and a decent amount on the Steam version... I won't be purchasing it a third time.

It's encouraging that they keep porting it to new platforms... but I want a new game, dammit.
Buying the PC port didn't fund anything new DD related so I think I'll pass on buying this.
They haven't even brought DDO to the West... starting to get frustrated with this franchise. You can't keep milking the same game, Capcom. If there's a 2nd game in development, at least tell us...

Yeah but I really doubt it. That wouldn't only mean 4K but also the graphics in general getting a complete overhaul. The game was never a looker anyway.

A more stable framerate and maybe some sharper textures will do wonders for the game. It was not ugly by any means but it really needed a bit more power to show things off.

Guess I'll be buying this again. Superb game. The mini-boss battles are epic. The first time I took down a Golem (?) with my Strider remains one of my favourite gaming moments.

I doubt they would port it to Xbox One if it would stay in Japan.

I have been waiting sooo long for this announcement, but it's just too late now since I've brought it for PC in the meantime.
Would've preferred to play it on my PS4, oh well.

PS4 version it is. Never finished the game on PS3.

Finally, a decent console version.

Bought the vanilla version for PS3, got Dark Arisen through PS+, couldn't make it too far in either because of the godawful frame rate and image quality.

You sure about that? I mean those outdoor locations really didn't look too great at all and don't forget that we gamers are now spoilt by Witcher 3 and other games. I know it's gameplay first and graphics second but I'd love if they redid everything. Better yet, a proper sequel.

$29.99 or what's the point?.. Hell probably should be $19.99.

I love the game and I'm th glad it's coming to PS4/Xb1. It should be interesting how it stacks up to the pc version.

Weird this didn't happen simultaneously with the PC release last year.

They probably wanted to wait and see if the PC version would sell before spending time and resources on the PS4 and XB1 versions. Capcom seems to be very wary with some of these remasters, like the lack of physical releases for RE HD (initially) and DMC4SE (in the West), and the lack of a PC version for DmC Definitive Edition.

I'm glad people can get this game on PS4/XB1 now but...c'mon Capcom. How many more sales do you need? Make a sequel. :p

The original was one of Capcom's biggest and most expensive titles ever, with a lot of major staff working on it. I'm gonna say, a lot.

Hopefully it's as good a port as the PC version was; it performed beautifully. 1080/60 would be wonderful on consoles.

Oh My!

Cannot wait for this. Played the base game for days on end but never finished the Dark Arisen stuff.

Game has some of THE best combat of any RPG.

Have to resist muting all my pawns when they repeat the same shit 10,000 times.

Really hope they can bump the framerate up - or at the very least remove the letterboxing like on the PC version.

This makes me wonder what the final sales of DD might end up being. It was two million on last gen alone, right? What'd PC boost it to? And what will this get them? Even though fall is like the worst possible time to launch this.

Edit: You got that edit in quick. Anyway, Capcom initially wanted the thing to sell like...10 million lol. That was unrealistic, same as it was for the last RE to sell six mil and they were still disappointed.

Bought it for PC in January and still haven't played it. And now I'm replaying Gothic 1 instead of playing my new and unplayed games :-/
