I really want an Ocean Master premiere skin for Aquaman, but I've just seen what Garth looks like in Titans Rebirth and now I want a premiere skin for him too.

I don't play either character.

The multiverse might be the worst single player fighting game mode ever concived.

Input reading, cheating ai.
+Random buffs like regenerating health
+Random nerfs to you like can't do combos.

What a waste of time. Single player in fighting games always sucks but when it's just made so you can't win unless you try 80 times and get lucky, it's just painful.

But then again this is from some of the people who shat the Mortal Kombat 2 arcade AI unto this earth so who could claim to be surprised?

Every single fighting game has input reading AI. The random buffs and debuffs is literally the whole idea behind it, why if you had zero desire for it would you have even bothered?

Oh please you didn't try SFV survival mode, it will take a lot to beat that lol.

Black Adam's ability trait replacement is pretty bad imo. It worked better on Shazam because he had more fist oriented moves, to me it seems like adam works better at zoning and spacing (getting openings with dark magic, rushing in and pushing them back), rather than rushing down people.

His orb cancelling moves is just sogood.

I do want the ability that calls down lightning though, just because I like hearing him say Shazam over and over.

Got my Adam to 20, now to work on Atrocitus, who seems to play much different :).

Oh wow did they change the boss system in guild ?

Now apparently it's damaged based and unlimited ? Or am i reading this wrong ?

It was stupid to have limited thing before.

Damian does need long hair.

It just really helps sell the fact he is a giant piece of human garbage.
Actually same with Injustice Superman.

Okay this is pretty good lol.

Random nerfs, buffs, modifiers, etc is the whole point of Multiverse and it's foundation in variety. If you (the other person) want standard single player stuff then there's classic ladders and survival mode. I don't get all this talk about the AI being that hard, the only difficult ai I have ever had trouble with is the guild boss.

How does the netcode handle less than ideal conditions? I seem to be getting a ton of dropped inputs. I'm fairly certain this isn't happening when I'm playing offline though..

I recommend making liberal use of the AI for the harder stuff. I've had my level 8 AI beat level 20 bosses. It's nuts.

I just think their modifiers are kind of bad.

Either it makes the match into a weird random thing where shit is appearing and damaging both players, or you get nonsense like "only the first hit you do does damage, other combo hits whiff" which is not fun, not teaching you anything, and frustrating. Or "regenerating health which means if you don't get a good life lead you might as well let the ai win and try again. Also not fun, not teaching you anything, and frustrating.

Multiverse is the same as ladders, missions, towers across other games. Just with different name and all condensed in one area.

You could just go to Battle Simulator, play against a CPU across multiple difficulties and even see an ending. Basically Arcade Mode with another name.

The difference between the AI on the Guild and the Single Player Multiverse its insane.
In the Guild I get my ass not kicked, I get fucking rekt. While on the Single Player Multiverse I can get away with pretty much anything.

Yeah, I was on the guild where I got those brutal modifiers, input reads, and straight up cheating. That is anti-fun.

Yeah the AI is nuts for some characters. Poison Ivy is a monster to watch, I did not even set up her playstyle but she just constantly uses back 3, hits every time, gets them to the corner and goes bananas on them even at level 1. Meanwhile my level 15 Atrocitus gets getting mauled by a level 2 Catwoman

-shrug-

also agree, some of the modifiers for towers can be a bit annoying. Like the swaying camera... thats just causing motion sickness not making it interesting. Or spawning drones that shoot randomly.

I love poison ivy's playstyle but I think this game's meta has two settings: rushdown and extreme zoning. And she's not enough of either to keep up. I can see her being a good gimmick character by some high level players but she's probably mid tier.

I just want to confirm, are the characters on the right of the selection screen the 'villains' and the ones on the left the 'heroes'?

or are they mixed in with each other?

I get the modifiers, they are quite fun and make some really challenging battles. But beyond that, it gets to the point where there's jack shit you can do. Aquaman, Robin, Cheetah and Doctor Fate are impossible to beat. Oh, Supergirl too. That flying annoying bitch. I think they should tweak that in future updates.

For Multiverse purposes I think the game counts traditional roles, not in-universe ones. Like Harley Quinn counts as a villain for example.

IMO it's one of the most fun single player modes I've played in a fighting game to date.

The more time I spend with this game the less I feel it got enough testing for certain issues with character hit boxes and completely wrong inputs coming out.

I've on wake up held down back as Robin for example, and as I hold that direction down go for his 2 to prevent a jump in, yet Robin goes for his down back 2 special move instead.

I've had enemies in the corner, or me on the receiving end, where I will do a move that causes my character to go through them, still connect even though we are now ass to ass, and the follow up combo hit still hits ass to ass, but then I get the wrong special move because a down back is now a down forward, etc.

The second I can deal with, but man do I feel like I can do a combo 209384029 times, no extra inputs, etc then go online to do it, and presto it's as if I've never done that combo and inputs just disappear. There is no reason why I should ever drop, say, Robin's 2 1 2 DB2 MB. I've had so many times I get just 2 1, or 2 1 2, but no special move.

-------------

On a separate note I REALLY dig Captain Cold, but his damage output is ass, and his gameplay to create space to charge up his cold gun to get one combo that isn't cheeks is just...ugh. They could've done so much more with this character. I would've much rather they go the Bane route with his cold gun instead, so when it is down and building back up all of his special moves could be worse frame data and less damage.

Has anyone done more than 815 damage with 4 meters? That's the most I have done with Bane. If he pumps in all his venom, then does a splash jump 3, back 2 3, back 2 3, 1 2 3, super, he can do 815 (probably higher if you get all the correct button hits during the super).

Captain Cold has to suck.

It's in the Injustice rule book.

Any slightly interesting character has to be low tier, and all the brain dead straight forward characters get to be S++.

It wouldn't be Injustice with out that.

I feel like I have a character crisis every other day in this game, lol. A lot of the cast is just so fun to play, but I suck with everyone except Batman.

Anyone have any pointers for Blue Beetle? He's the character I'm thinking of trying to pick up next.

I agree with this 100%.

Game coming out I was looking at characters like Cold, Ivy, Fate as fun to main, and here we are with them all doing piss damage. Why does an asshole like Black Adam or Robin get 500+ off 1 meter/no meter with 0 effort?

Feels bad man.

Balance in the initial launch feels butt cheeks because of damage. Personally I don't want to see more than 350 damage for 0 meter on anyone except someone like Bane. To break that should cost 1 meter, and to break 450 should be 2 meters.

When I watch right now it feels very little back and forth takes place. One guy touches a dude 4 times and the game is done.
